Avni: ab mujhe faisla lena hi hoga...

Avni went to karan's cabin.

Avni: Karan... Mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai...

Karan: Avni... Ab abhi nahi... I'm sorry woh mujhe na urgently jana hai kahi... Aaj raat ko karte hai na..

Avni: okay...

Karan left patting her head lightly.

As karan was going out of the office he collided with someone.

Before they can touch the ground his hands wrapped around her waist while her hands go up to neck.

Karan saw her face... The girl was  blinking her eyes cutely and smiling like a fool.

Karan: tum? (Shocked surprised)

Girl: hanji... (Smiling dreamily)

Karan looked here and there and make her stand properly.

Karan: sargun tum yaha kya kar rahi ho?

Sargun: jaha aap waha main... (Smiling)

Karan: matlab? (Frowns)

Sargun:

Bhool jayiye
zamane ke sare sitam...
Saaya hoon main aapka
jaha aap waha hum...

Karan looked at her confused.

Sargun: mere matlab... Ab main aapki PA hoon to jaa jaha aap waha waha main... Kyu ki ab main chutti se wapis aagyi hoon.

Karan: (facepalming himself) kuch nahi ho sakta tumhara... Fine kal se office aa jana aaj main thoda busy hoon...

Sargun: to main bhi aapke saath chalti hoon... (Excited)

Karan: nahi... Zarurat nahi tum rest karo... Kal se aana okay... (Smiling nervously)

He went away putting his sunglasses.

Sargun covers her face with palms.

Sargun: ishhhh.... Pehle se bhi zyada handsome ho gye hai yeh to.... Haaye mera dil... (Dramatically placing hand on her heart)

Somewhere in a dark room a boy is seen sitting on a rocking chair.

He had a dart in his hand.

Man: mujhse ulajh ke bohut badi galti ki hai tumne Ms. Avni... Ab aage jo bhi hoga uski zimmedaar sirf tum hogi (smirks)

He throws the dart it misses the target.

Man: tsk tsk tsk... Phir bach gyi... Lekin ab nai... (Laughs)

Neav was sitting on a bench in his school garden. He seemed sad.

A chocolate icecream appeared in front of him. He frowns and turned to that side.

He smiles excitedly but immediately made a sad pout and turned his face to the other side.

Neav: itni der..? Pata hai na main kab se aapka wait kar raha tha... (Pouts)

Man: haan baba pata hai lekin main kisi kaam mein phas gya tha na... Nahi aa paya...

Neav: to mujhe bhi aapse baat nhi karni... (Still looking other way) Pata hai maine aapko kitna miss kiya Superman...

The man smiles seeing his antics... He came and sat in front of him on his knees holding his ears.

Neil: maafi mil sakti hai? (Cute expressions)

Neav smiled looking at him.

Neav: okay par agli baar ek week se zyada chutti nahi doonga main (pouts)

Neil: haan mere baap chalo ab icecream khale?

Neav nods giggling. Neil smiled at him.

Both sat on the bench having icecream cutely.

Some of the icecream was left on their noses and outer side of lips.

Both laughed seeing each other.

Neav: aap bilkul mere jaise ho..

Neil: nahi... Tum mere jaise ho (giggles)

Neav giggles.

Neil took out his hanky and wiped of the icecream from neav's face.

Both spent some time together. Neav shared the stories of his school. Neil asked him about avni and his family. He was happy knowing that they all are safe and happy. But somewhere it pinched his heart as he could not be partner in their moments.

After about half an hour.

Neil: ab mujhe chalna hoga...

Neav gets sad hearing this.

Neav: aap kab aaoge? (Pouts)

Neil: bohut jaldi baccha... Bas tum sad mat hona okay?.. Aur next time hum is se bhi zyada masti karenge... Okay?

Neav: (sad pout) i miss you...

Neil: aww... I'll miss you too baby...

He kissed his forehead and took him in his protective embrace.

He went to his car.

On the way,

Neil's POV...

Neav bilkul tum jaisa hai... Tumhare jaisa hi gussa hai uska... Bachpan mein tum bhi mujhse aise hi rooth ke baith jati thi aur phir tumhe manane ke liye main woh sab karta tha... (Sighs) Avni main tumse bohut pyaar karta hoon... Tumhe pane ke liye main kisi bhi hadd tak ja sakta hoon... (His grip tightened on the steering wheel) kuch bhi kar sakte hoon...

Soon it was night time everyone settled in their respective rooms.

Ani came to her room she saw karan sitting inge couch reading a file. She handed him the cup of coffee.

Karan smiled.

Avni: karan... Mujhe kuch baat karni thi...

Karan: haan avni tum office mein bhi aayi thi kya hua?

Avni: karan... Main chahti hoon..

She takes a Deep breath. She was feeling nervous...

Karan: bolo avni...

Avni: Karan I want ki... Hum dono... I mean tum aur main... Mera matlab hai.. Tum mujhse shadi karlo...

Karan was shocked hearing this.

Karan: avni... Yeh kya keh rahi ho tum?

Avni: sahi hi to keh rahi hoon... Dekho maine bohut socha hai... Tum shadi kar lo mujhse... Kam se kam neav ke liye..

Karan: avni... Tum yeh shadi sirf neav ke liye karna chahti ho? (Coldly)

Avni: (nods) kyu ki yahi sahi rahega... Mere hisaab se...

Karan: avni... Pyaar mein hisaab nahi chalte... Koi mathematics pyaar ko nahi samajh sakta...

Avni looked at him.

Karan: avni pyaar samjhauta nahi hota... Compromise kar ke hum ek saal jee lenge... 2 saal jee lenge... Sari umar nahi kategi samjhaute mein...

He held her hands and take a deep breath.

Karan: avni hum dono jaante hai ki sach kya hai... Hum dono jaante hai ki konse halaat mein humne kya faisle liye the... Avni hum dono dost hai aur jaise hai us rishte mein bohut khush hai... Bohut khush... Pata hai avni agar tum neav ke liye yeh faisla le rahi ho to tum galat ho... Neav ne aaj tak kabhi humse nahi kaha ki usse humari shadi dekhni hai... Avni... (Cupping her face) main janta hoon tumhare dil mein kya hai... Usse main nahi badal sakta aur na hi badalna chahta hoon... Okay?

Avni nods lightly.

Karan: ab chalo zyada stress mat lo aur so jao... (Smiles) warna buddhi ho jaogi bohut jald... (Mischievous smile)

Avni rolls her eyes and went to sleep.

Karan sat on the couch looking at her and thought something.

He went to the terrace and dialled a number. He was having angry expressions.

Soon the call was answered.

Karan: are you for real?! (Almost shouting) aaj usne mujhse shadi ki baat kari hai... Kab tak taalta rahu main usko... Jo karna hai jaldi karo...

He hung up the call.

Few days went by.

Neil visited neav's school.

They both were busy playing when a tap is felt on Neil's shoulder.

It was avni standing in front of him with sunglasses on.

Neil was shocked as well as surprised to see her in front of him after so many years.

He was mesmerized to see her.

Even though she got a pale skin and was much more leaner than before but still his heart beats rushed for a marathon seeing her.

Avni too was shocked to find 'him' standing there. She removed her sunglasses looking at him.

He had grown thinner but still managed to look charming.

His hazel orbs bored into hers she felt like never letting this moment go but suddenly the happenings dawned on her. She looked away... The pain in her eyes was long gone a new emotion took birth which was anger.

She was angry at him.

Neil smiled looking at her.

Neav who stood there confused. He thought to introduce them to each other himself only.

Neav: mumma... Inse milo yeh hai mere best friend... Superman... (Smiling) aur Superman... Yeh hai meri mumma... Mujhe pata hai yeh beautiful hai par unhe aise mat ghooro  (giggles)

Neil smiled. Avni clenched her fist.

Avni: neav gaadi mein jaa ke baitho...

Neav: par mumma abhi mujhe inke saath khelna hai... (Pouts)

Avni: neav maine kaha. In. The. Car. Right. Now... (Sternly)

Neav nods and went silently.

Neil looked at her and smiled.

Avni: kyu aaye ho tum yaha?

Neil: I'm sorry..

Avni: just fu... (Breathes) mere bete tak aake galati ki hai tumne...

Neil: mera bhi beta hai woh...

Avni: shut up... Neav sirf aur sirf mera beta hai... (Gritting teeth) aur tum us se door rehte rahe ho... Got it? (Sternly)

Neil: (chuckles) sacchi? (Smirks) tumhe lagta hai ki aisa ho payega? Family mein sab kaise hai? (Innocence filled voice)

Avni: (pointing index finger at him) mere pariwar ka naam bhi nahi loge tum... I swear jab baat mujh tak thi theek rahi ab meri family ki taraf aankh utha ke dekha na... Zinda gaadh doongi tumhe... Understood? (Gritting teeth)

Avni immediately turned and left.

Neil smiled seeing her in this mode.

Neil: ho to abhi bhi bilkul waisi... Ladydon (smiles rubbing the back of his neck)

Avni sat in the car and started. She was very angry at Neil she wanted to shout she wanted to scream at him but could not do it.

Avni's POV

Maine socha tha ki neav ko aaj main school se lene jaungi waise to roz karan jata hai par aaj woh busy tha. Jab main waha pahunchi to maine dekha nea kisi ke saath khel raha tha maine us bande to bulaya... I just felt like meri zameen hi nikal gyi ho... Neil khanna... Jis shaks ko main dekhna bhi nahi chahti thi aaj woh mere saamne mere bete ka haath thaame khada tha.. Aaj bhi uski aankhein waisi hi thi... Shararati aur sundar... Aaj bhi aisa lag raha tha jaise main kho jaungi un mein par nahi... Is baar nahi...
(She recalled how she warned him when he took her family's name)
Pata nahi mujhe kya ho gya tha... (Sighs) mujhe neav se baat karni hogi...

Avni: neav... Maine aapko kitni baar samjhaya hai ki strangers se baat nahi karte...

Neav: par mumma woh stranger nai hai... Woh to mere best friend hai Superman hai...

Avni felt anger raising in her nerves she was not at all well with the fact that neav was so close to Neil.

Past few days karan used to pick and drop neav to school. 'Was karan aware of him meeting neav?' This thought came up in her mind. She tried to calm herself taking deep breathes.

Avni: aaj ke baad aap unse nahi mil rahe... Got it?

Neav was sensitive child from childhood avni and karan had already pampered him alot. She feared his reaction.

Neav: (sternly) main unse zarur milunga...

Avni was shocked with his answer...
