Bilbo POV

I hear a loud horn and follow Gandalf.

"My Lord, dispatch this force to Ravenhill. The Dwarves are about to be overrun. Thorin must be warned." He informs King Thranduil.

"By all means, warn him. I have spent enough Elvish blood in defense of this accursed land. No more." Kind Thranduil tells Gandalf and walks off.

"Thranduil?" Gandalf calls for him.

I take a deep breath and tell Gandalf, "I'll go."

"Don't be ridiculous. You'll never make it." He says, not believing that I can do this.

"Why not?" I question him.

"Because they will see you coming and kill you." He states, as if it were obvious.

"No, they won't. They won't see me." I insisted.

"It's out of the question." Gandalf dismisses the idea. "I won't allow it."

"I'm not asking you to allow it, Gandalf." I tell him and he gives me a sad smile.

I look at him for a moment longer before taking off behind a pillar. I rest my back up against it and take out the ring that I had found. I know I can get there unseen, this ring makes me invisible. I just hope I make it there in time to warn them.

I put on the ring and take another breath then start running. Dogging swords and axes as I run towards Ravenhill.

Exhausted and out of breath, I finally make it to Ravenhill and find Thorin and Dwalin. I pull off the ring and bend over taking in a few deep breaths.

"Thorin." I say his name and he turns around and looks at me surprised.

"Bilbo." He says, relieved.

"You have to leave here. Now. Azog has an army attacking from the North. This watch tower will be completely surrounded. There will be no way out." I inform them, still out of breath.

"We are so close." Dwalin states. "That Orc scum is in there. I say we push on."

"No. That's what he wants. He wants to draw us in. This is a trap. Find Fili and Kili. Call them back." Thorin tells him.

"Thorin, are you sure about this?" Dwalin questions.

"Do it. We'll live to fight another day." Thorin commands him.

Dwalin leaves to find them. Thorin looks over at me and I give him a nod. We head in the opposite direction. That's when we hear a loud drum start to beat and we stop and turn around.

After a moment, someone comes out of the shadows. It is Azog. And he has Fili!

Thorin runs closer.

"Oh..." Is all I can seem to utter.

Azog starts to speak but it is in black speech so I cannot understand him. I run up beside Thorin, Dwalin just behind me.

"No. RUN!" Fili shouts to us.

Azog then puts a sword through Fili's chest. I can feel my eyes water up. Azog says something else and then drops Fili. He then stands there for a moment before walking off.

"KILI!" Thorin shouts for his other nephew and I close my eyes.

"Thorin!" Dwalin shouts after him. "Thorin, no."

I just stand there, unable to move. Then, I pull out my sword and follow after Thorin and Dwalin.

I know, it is a bit of a shorter chapter but I wanted to end it there. Be expecting a longer chapter on Sunday! ;) Updates are every Sunday and Thursday!
