"You better not burn down your new kitchen."

Taeyong teased as he hopped and sat on the seat by the counter. Jaehyun chuckled, grabbed the apron and wore it. He walked towards the omega with a smile on his face.

"What do you mean?" the alpha asked. He wrapped the tie around his waist and tied it after.

The omega hummed, "Oh, nothing. I'm just giving you some advice."

Jaehyun went back to the counter to prepare the ingredients, "You don't believe that I can cook, do you?"

Taeyong hopped out of the chair and went to stand beside the alpha, "It's not like that...I believe what my son said."

"Where's Blue, by the way?" the man asked as he started cutting.

Taeyong opened the drawer to grab another knife and started cutting the vegetables as well. Jaehyun didn't really complain about it. The boy can do whatever he wants. Also, the alpha thought this new house should be the omega's as well. Y'know, kinda like Taeyong's second home.

"I let him take a rest in his room," Taeyong answered, "The games a while ago were tiring."

"Aren't you tired? You can just sit around. I can do these on my own," the alpha uttered and started cooking.

Taeyong smiles at him, "No, I'm fine. Don't worry."

Both quiets down, concentrating on whatever they're currently doing. They looked like a wedded couple that finally moved into their newly built home and decided to cook in their new kitchen.

Taeyong likes how he has some company in the kitchen now. Donghyuck doesn't really cook with him, also he rarely cooks. Maybe Jaehyun just feels like home.

"Taeyong, about the charity work tomorrow..."

"Oh! About that, I have to go before the sun sets. I have to prepare the cookies and also the booklets," the omega uttered.

"If you want...We can come along."

Taeyong looked at the alpha with one eyebrow raised, "Don't you have work? Also, Blue might get tired. I don't want him to get too tired."

"Well, I can leave for a day. Blue can take a rest while he's with us. Also, he likes helping. Maybe he got that from you," Jaehyun answered with a smirk on his face.

"You know, it's not your obligation to help me all the time. I owe you too many things already," the omega uttered with a pout.

Taeyong was watching Jaehyun cook but a finger suddenly made him to look up and straight into the alpha's eyes.

"Who said you owe me anything?"

The omega blushed and was taken aback. Jaehyun goes back to cooking. Suddenly, a gush of embarrassment came in that made him curse mentally. He shouldn't have done that. Should he? Maybe Taeyong didn't mind. But he did blush. Jaehyun's just stupid sometimes.

"I just want to help and that doesn't mean you owe me something," Jaehyun said, "You should stop thinking that I'm just your kid's father. I'm your friend, Taeyong. If there's anything that you need some help with, I'm here. Okay?"

The omega nodded, "Okay...But for your information, I don't see you as just my kid's father."

"Really? Then what am I to you?"

That made Taeyong to stiffen. The omega immediately hesitated, debating if he should say everything right now. But he thought if this was the best time to say it. Taeyong was too afraid to ruin the alpha's mood.

Upon hearing nothing from the omega, Jaehyun looked at him to see if Taeyong's alright. Taeyong was just staring right back at him. He didn't really expect it but he did got lost just staring back. Then he realized, he told himself to stop.

"Hey, are you alright, Taeyong?" Jaehyun asked.

He reached out his hand and placed his palm against Taeyong's forehead. The omega flinched and immediately blushed just feeling Jaehyun's touch. Taeyong took a step back that made the alpha a bit confused.

"Y-Yeah! I...I just spaced out. I'm sorry," the omega answered.

"Just go and sit down, okay?" the alpha said, "You must be tired."

Taeyong sighed, "I'm not--"

Suddenly, his phone rang. The omega grabbed it inside of his pocket and looked who was calling him. Jaehyun moved away and lets Taeyong have some privacy.

"Hello? Hyuck?"

"So, how was the family day?"

Taeyong sighed, "You can't wait when I get home, Hyuckie?"

"Nope~"

"Just wait for me."

"What time are you going home anyway? I can't cook that well."

"I guess after lunch."

"Lunch? We're still going to prepare for tomorrow. I'm already doing the booklets. Jaemin and the others were preparing the materials."

"I know, but this is important."

"How important? Who are you with anyway?"

"Blue and...Jaehyun."

"Oh, that's why it's important."

Taeyong blushed intensely and immediately looked away from Jaehyun, turning himself.

"Okay, hyung. I'll see you later. I don't want to ruin your important lunch."

"Hyuck--"

"Hyung! Before you get annoyed, can I ask you a favor?"

Taeyong raised an eyebrow and leaned onto the counter, "Hm, I don't know but what is it? I might change my mind."

"Well...someone wants to help us so I did invite him here."

"Who is it? The more, the merrier."

It took a second before Donghyuck finally spoke.

"Mark."

Taeyong's eyes widened, "Donghyuck--"

"He just wants to help! Nothing more. Please, hyung? Also, I'll make sure he won't touch me if that's what you like. One meter away, I promise! I'll make sure he'll go before dinner, I promise!"

Before the omega could speak, his phone got suddenly snatched by someone behind him. Taeyong looked behind and saw Jaehyun already talking to Donghyuck on the phone.

"Hey, this is Jaehyun...Yeah, well, I have a deal for you...I'll make sure no one will distract you and Mark, but Taeyong will stay here until dinner...Oh, yeah? Great! Okay, see you tomorrow!"

Jaehyun ended the call and smiled widely as he gave the phone back to Taeyong. The omega pouted with his eyebrows furrowed at him. He grabbed his phone and put it into his pocket again. The alpha went back to plate the cooked food that smelled delicious.

"You're going to stay here for dinner," Jaehyun said.

"I still have to help Donghyuck--"

"Mark's with him. You could barely speak to that guy if he has work so I doubt that he'll even give attention to your brother," the alpha said, "Come on, lunch is ready. I'll try to see if Blue's awake."

It was weird how Jaehyun could make Taeyong feel assured that nothing bad will happen to Donghyuck.
