3 | first day of school

"Daddy, wake up!"

Blue just woke up and immediately went into his daddy's bedroom. The man was still in deep sleep, having himself shirtless under his comforter. But the baby had to jump up and down on the bed to wake the man up. Blue kept on giggling and patting his father's arm which felt like he was hitting a rock.

Jaehyun slowly wakes up and opens his eyes halfway. Blue then stopped and went down, making his face close to his daddy. If ever they'll be able to be infront of a mirror, Blue's face would be something like Jaehyun when he was still young. When Jaehyun knew about Blue looking at him to see if he's awake, he immediately closed his eyes again.

"Daddy, it's school day!"

Jaehyun puckered his lips and pointed his cheek, asking his baby to kiss him there. Blue just leaned down and gave his father a peck. Then the man's arms spread out to hug his child. Blue laid down and snuggled close to Jaehyun. The man's arms went to wrap around the small body and kept him against his chest.

"Five more minutes..." Jaehyun said.

"But I'm late."

"The school opens in two hours, Blue."

"But lala already cooked us breakfast."

The man took a few minutes before he finally stood up. Blue was going to jump off of the bed but Jaehyun just grabbed him and safely placed him on the floor. The baby was still in his cute onesies that Jaehyun bought last year as a birthday gift. Then he stood up to fix his bed before he went to get a shirt for him to wear. After, Jaehyun then carried Blue to walk downstairs and enter the dining room.

Blue's lala has already finished making breakfast and made them to sit down. Jaehyun placed the baby on the high chair. Blue started swinging his legs off of the chair. The man found himself cooing.

"Eat as much as you can, okay?" Jaehyun's mother said to Blue when she start feeding the baby.

Blue nodded and happily chewed the food in his mouth.

"Jaehyun," she called, getting Jaehyun's attention, "Make sure Blue's inside the school, okay?"

"I know what to do, ma. He's my child anyway," Jaehyun said and took a sip on his coffee.

She raised an eyebrow, "The last time I heard that was when you left Blue at a park because you were busy on the phone and took eyes off of him."

The man sighed, "That was one time!"

After breakfast, Jaehyun brought Blue upstairs and into the bathroom so he could clean the kid up. It wasn't the worst job in being father but Blue is very playful whenever he takes a bath. Jaehyun would look like he already took a bath. But atleast, he got some time to play with his son. He barely plays with him just because he's either tired or busy with work.

It took some minutes before he and Blue got ready to go. Jaehyun goes down with his mother making Blue a bit more presentable. The man went down to give his mother a peck on the head. His mother then turned to his crooked necktie.

"Jaehyun, about the omega..." she whispered. Jaehyun could see how worried she looked which made him to know what she'll be saying.

"Ma, not now--"

"I just think you should let that omega go. It would be impossible," she uttered, "That scent wasn't--"

"No one has that kind of scent! I know it, that omega is just right around the corner."

"Then what? How important is that omega that you even need to find for years?"

"It's my son's parent we're tal--"

"Stop that."

Suddenly, the grandfather of the family said in the most stern way. Jaehyun just looked at his mother, knowing that it's his problem and his mother shouldn't make it as hers as well. He knows what he's doing.

"Let's get going," he said.

Jaehyun clicked his tongue before he grabbed his coat and carried his son. He walked out of the house and put his son into the backseat. He gave the small bag that was full of snacks and pencils before he closed the door.

"Jaehyun, I didn't mean to be rude. I was just worried," his mother suddenly said.

The man sighed and shook his head, "We're going."

He walked and stepped into the driver's seat. He started the car and after Blue saying bye to his grandparents, Jaehyun drove them away. He knew his mother wasn't really fond of it but Jaehyun just felt like he needs to.

His Alpha wants the omega.

Shortly, they arrived at the school. It was filled with children and parents which made Blue excited. Jaehyun parked the car by the sidewalk before he goes out and pulled his son out of the vehicle. Blue held onto his daddy until he started squirming upon seeing a familiar friend of his. Jaehyun lets go and watched his son ran and hug River who looked grumpy as always.

"Hey, Ten," Jaehyun greeted.

Ten, Johnny's omega, smiled back, "Hey, Jae. Nice to see you guys again."

"Hm, yeah. It's been months. How was America?" the man asked, putting his hands into his pocket.

The boy shrugged, "It was great. River had some fun with the snow. Also," he raised his left hand and showed a ring, "We got engaged."

Jaehyun widened his eyes, "Oh, congratulations! When's the ceremony?"

"I don't know. We still haven't talked about it, because of, y'know, work," Ten said.

The man chuckled, "I can give Johnny some break if you want me to. I'll kick him out of the company."

"Hey, that's mean."

"But, seriously...I can give you guys some time if you ever need some," the man said.

Ten nodded, "Have you found someone yet?"

Jaehyun hummed and shrugged, "Nah."

"What? Don't give me that 'I need to spend some time with my son' bullshit," the boy said and laughed.

"No. You know, I'm still finding that omega."

"Forget about that for a second. I'll introduce you to someone."

"Ten--"

"Hey, Jungwoo!"
