Chapter 7 Eight years later  

Eight years have passed since Captain Sea took in Laven as an Orphan. And since then a few more kids were taken in such as a young nine-year-old fox boy named Fox, he was named that because when he was found two years ago he didn't know what his actual name was, so Captain chose the most obvious and unimaginative name in the book and named the orphan Fox.

Another boy who was around the same age as Laven, named Kevin or Kev for short was found fighting a group of older boys and to have been only seven at the time he was very capable of fighting his own battles.

Captain Sea broke up the fight and questioned where the young boys parents were and to the Captain's shock and delight he was an orphan surviving on the streets all by himself because his mother mysteriously disappeared, he lived off of food given to him by Strangers but of course no one took him in except for Captain Sea. Kev had a bad temper but Captain Sea accepted him nonetheless.

Another orphan who was just found a few days ago in the middle of the ocean, presumably dead at the time, was thankfully making a slow recovery after being saved.

Even though Laven never knew what humanoid alligators were, apparently other pirates believed he was a part of the Ali Flordian tribe which were a group of dangerous alligator creatures, and majority of the other pirates were genuinely scared of him. Laven wasn't frightened by the Ali creature at all, he was mostly curious to see if he would wake up soon.
