This is meant in just an innocent, playful way as Honey realizes that Morning is almost like a kittypet(he didn't even know what an eagle was which was quite surprising to Honey, so he probably has never fought other cats or animals before). Idk what it is but I just think this oc is just so adorable and likeable even if he's not gonna be to present in the rp(I do have a love for black cats as I had one once who was an absolute sweetheart so that's probably why I like him so much). Honey hasn't had a friend in a very long time and even before that she hardly had any as she was always insecure that she wasn't "cool enough" or mature enough since she was so bouncy in her younger days. So for her to have a friend again, especially one that somewhat reminds her of Ravenshade, she'll take any chance she can get to do what friends would do. Aka tease in a loving manner(she would never actually bully Morning she's too sweet to do that). And no this isn't a ship y'all so don't start the nonsense lol(plus Honey is waaay insecure after her first relationship ended poorly, but she's healing I promise!).
