for the first time from far, he sees a figure approaching. the sun was shining too brightly that all he could see was just the figure - he wanted to see the features.

and he saw what he wanted, when the figure stood under him, which he blocked the powerful sunray for her. the heat sure was painful, but what could he do anyways? it was his nature and that he couldn't move at all.

he then heard a soft, sad sound coming from the figure. she was weeping, and her eyes were bloodshot, like she hasn't slept for several days; her lips were cracking and her whole face was pale.

seokjin didn't know why, but he felt a pang of guilt hiting him hard. he wasn't responsible for her tears, he wasn't responsible for her sadness, he wasn't even responsible for her. but why did he feel like he had to do something?

it was probably because it was the first time someone ever stood under him, and he felt responsible for protecting her, for blocking her from the sunlight, for making her turn away from sadness.

"lean on me," he wanted to tell her. but he couldn't - god had made him this way, and no matter how much hatred he has for his own species, nothing could ever change just by hating it.

her head was still hung low, and he could still hear soft sobs coming from her. however, it wasn't the cries of just pure sadness - it was more than that.

it was the cries deep down from the heart. he could hear that her heart was shattered into pieces, with the sound echoing through the darkness surrounding her heart.

"this is sort of calming," she suddenly lifted up her head and chuckled softly. tears were cascading down her face, even though she had a smile on.

stepping closer towards him, she engulfed seokjin into a warm embrace, leaning her head against him.
