I sensed something wrong, I could hear it in his voice 

" Acha abhi ati hun, give me 10 minutes ."(Alright, I'll be there right away.)

I got up got ready in my uniform. Even today when I wear this uniform, I get goosebumps. Sometimes it's hard to believe for me that I am a captain in the Indian Army. I never believed that I had it in me to come to this point in my life or career. I mean when I think about it I laugh at what I used to be impulsive, full of aggression, who would have thought 5 years back that I could even pass out of KMA let alone top my batch. it's strange how things just work out in life. 

It's been 5 years since I past outed and got my first posting. Today I am posted at the headquarters trying to build a behavioral unit, a department specifically for studying and analyzing the behavior of terrorist groups to understand their mentality and stop them using their own mind against them. For this sole purpose, I was given training in psychology, I'll admit it is a blessing of a sort to be able to understand the psychological state of a person . Anyway so the Behavioral Unit of the DIA also knows as the Defense Intelligence Agency India is a very new department.

 I have been working in it for about 2 years now and it's very closely associated with RAW and IB. Other than me Alekh is also been working in the department, but he is more out on the field. Yudi Is also closely associated with us but in a different department. 

Leaving all that aside I got ready and left for the headquarters in a hurry. I know if MG Gaur called a meeting at this time it must be something really serious. I got in my jeep and drove at 100 k/hr. The roads in Delhi are usually very heavily crowded but not at this time so I reached the headquarters in 30 min. I got out of the jeep all this while thinking about what was so urgent that MG Gaur himself called Alekh. I gave the jeep to a guard and told him to park it. I didn't have the tie to do it myself today. I went straight up to the topmost floor. 

I found the whole floor in a state of chaos. My work must be cut out for me today. A junior saw me and immediately came towards me. 

She said"Ma'am they are waiting for in the conference room. I don't know the exact extent of the situation at hand but it seems pretty bad. They aren't allowing anyone in except for your friends. "

I gave was walking constantly but when she mentioned 'my friends' I stopped and looked at her and gave her the 'what do you mean by that ?' look. She understood what I meant and replied,

"I mean they called everyone from your batch and the batch after you, you know the other team. Although all of them couldn't make it in such short notice so they are all present through video conferencing. We are still to get in contact with a few people, you should hurry inside they need you desperately in there. " 

As she completed her sentence we had reached the conference room. I looked at her, She handed a file to me and left. 

I went inside to find Alekh talking with MG Gaur and I scanned the whole situation with my eyes as quickly as possible, it had become a habit now after being the head of the psych dept. they looked kind of tensed, but their body language said it wasn't just something to be tensed about it's bigger than that. I saw that Huda and Pooja being posted in the same city were together on the video call, they were still trying to get a hold of Ali, Peter, and Mallah. Rummy was already there and so Akriti. 

She saw that I had arrived and just came and hugged me as if her world was going upside down. She was like a sister to me. Seeing her like this was not easy and I have only seen her like this once before. I hugged her back , then after a few seconds broke the hug and asked her,

"Ky hua ?"(What happened)

She just kept sobbing , I knew she will not be able to say anything at all I looked at rummy signaling him to take her , he did as I said . I went to where Alekh and MG Gaur are standing.

 I saluted MG Gaur he said "At ease captain ."

Even he was sad , which is shocking . He continued "Captain Sharma will brief you on the situation , I hope you will be able to handle the mission . You will be the commanding officer on this mission . I really trust you Naina ." 

That was it , this meant that it's something personal not just a mission . I replied " I try my best sir , I won't let you down ."

He left with this assurance. I turned and looked at Alekh and before I could ask anything, he dropped the bomb himself, 

" Abhimanyu sir aur Gunny missing hai. Dono kissi mission pe the, Kal rat se dono me se kissi se bhi contact nahi ho pa raha. We have no idea ki wo kis mission per the , unke is mission se related na to koi bhi aur officer hai aor na hi koi bhi paper trail. All we do know is wo dono is academic session mein KMA as teachers gay the phir se. "(Abhimanyu sir and Gunny Sir are missing. We have not been able to establish any kind of contact with either of them. We have no idea which mission they were on, neither is there any other officer on this mission nor could we find any kind of paper trail to track. All we do know is that they had been In KMA for this academic session as teachers .)

I was shocked As if my world had changed again. I hold a special place for both of them. Abhimanyu sir was a friend and the only person who knew the pain If feel after all he also lost both of them. Gunny was a savior for me he saved my life 2 times and also ........ our recent history was a part of all this. A history that I can't think about now, I had been avoiding him because of it. All of sudden this. I stopped my chain of thoughts gathered my self and took charge. 

"Unki last known location kahan ki hai ?" I asked, (What was their last known location)

"KMA ke peeche wale jungle ki " replied Pooja. ( The jungle right behind the KMA premises.)

" Hum unko Satellite ki through track krne ki koshish kr rahe hain but it seems unki phones wahin junle mein ruk gae hai, wahan ek team bhi gai thi but nothing came up ." Huda kept looking at files all the while briefing me. ( We have tried to track them using stellite signals but it looks like their phones have been left in the jungle. A team went in there but nothing came up.)

After hearing everything and looking at all the related facts in the file I had in my hands I gave my orders to everybody " Mujhe unki phones ki exact location chahiye, I also need their phone records for the past three months, har ek call ki details chahiye mujhe, I want someone tracking and taping every call going in and out of KMA . I want a thorough detail on every faculty member of KMA And also of the cadets. Mujhe ye sab ajj subha 6 baje tak meri desk pe chahiye."  (I want the exact locations of their phone as well as a record of their phone, every call, and text detail . I want someone tracking and taping every call going in and out of KMA. I want a thorough detail on every faculty member of KMA And also of the cadets. I want all of this at my desk by 6 O'Clock today . )

I looked at Akriti and I knew what she must be going through at this moment, after all, I too have been through this, the difference is she has hope I didn't. I looked at Rummy  I knew what Gunny meant to him I went and hugged him. 

"Alekh " I said ," Hume chalna hoga as soon as location mil jae hum dono nikal jaenge , KMA mein call krke bta dena ke hum wahan bhi aenge  ." (Alekh, we need to go there as soon as we have the locations, we leave. Call KMA And let them know we are coming.)

Akriti got up from her place out of her trance now, she said " Mai bhi chalungi " .(I'll come as well ) 

I didn't have the heart to tell her no. I also asked Rummy to come along I needed some to look after her. I knew I could not be weak now, I had to be strong for all of them, the moment I break they all will.

With a clear set of orders everybody carried on with their work, I just had to wait to know . This is the most agonizing wait ever. Not just for me but for everyone present there. it was nearly 5:30 when Yudi called and told us the location of the phones, as soon as we had the location in our hand we left. Me Alekh, Akriti and Rummy left for the place where our journey started, back to KMA ........
