Dakota and Asher rush home, going so fast it's like they're sprouting wings. The other Hamato kids were told to stay at school, but the twins were allowed to come since it's their mother that's going to possibly be saved. Their hearts almost burst with hope as they leap down into the sewers and head for home, knowing that their father somehow found a cure for their mother.

Inside the lair, the turtles and Destiny are getting ready, the other moms still at work. Leonardo goes over plans with Raphael and Michelangelo while Donatello stands at a distance, holding the USB drive in his hand like its the most precious thing on this planet right now. Destiny waits near the gate for Asher and Dakota.

"I'm not sure we should all go," Leo says. "I mean...we're a large group. If only a few of us go and find Sarina, then we have a better chance of her not seeing us coming."

"Point taken," Raph responds. "But, if there's only a few of us, you won't be as defended and Sarina could take you out."

"More mutants, more distractions," Mikey points out.

Destiny perks up as Dakota and Asher appear around the nearest corner, already back in their normal forms. Asher hurriedly ties on his mask as he grins his gap-toothed smile.

"So? How'd he do it?" he asks his aunt.

"Serum? Potion? True love's kiss?" Dakota rambles, her red eye flashing wildly with each suggestion.

"Woah woah woah, calm down," Destiny says, laughing slightly. "The dads are working out a plan."

"Have worked out a plan, I should say," Leo cuts in as he joins them at the gate. He looks to each of his family members as he crosses his arms over his plastron. "We'll split into two groups. One acts as a decoy, the other acts as the stealth and restoration team." He shifts his weight a little and continues, "I'm taking Mikey, Raph, and Dakota on decoy team. Destiny and Asher will go with Donnie to track down Sarina."

Destiny nods and salutes, a small smile on her lips. Dakota looks to her brother and dad, hoping that their half of the plan goes well. She'd rather be with them, but she knows that they need her on the other team.

"Ninjas, move out."

Destiny sniffs the air diligently as she soars across the rooftops. She checks over her shoulder every now and then, making sure that Donnie and Asher are keeping up. The two turtles never slow, determination evident in their very being.

She slows down, doing a graceful flip as she touches down on a nearby water tower, perching like a gargoyle as she watches the city. Only a few moments later, Donnie and Asher appear.

"Any luck?" Donnie asks.

She nods slightly. "I caught her scent. She took the bait, so we've only got..."

"T-minus ten minutes before she realizes she's being tricked," Asher cuts in, furrowing his mask like eyebrows. "Or...if my calculations are correct, I suppose."

"Sounds about right," Donnie agrees, patting his son's shoulder. "Let's keep moving."

"Have you got any idea how you're going to get close enough to actually get it in?" Destiny inquires, straightening up and rolling her shoulders a bit.

Donnie nods, seriousness making his face look harder than usual. "Yeah...I've got an idea."

The trio takes off again, the turtles following Destiny from the sky as she flies towards the pale white speck on a distant rooftop. As they get nearer and nearer, they find Sarina standing and looking almost confused, since she doesn't have any emotions except for hatred at the moment.

Destiny lands again, noticing that Leo, Raph, Mikey, and Dakota are quite a ways away, acting oblivious to the fact that Sarina is watching them. Their plan is working, seeing as the cyborg's attention is focused only on that group.

"Okay...stealth mode..." Destiny whispers, motioning to Asher.

They loop around the far side of the building, planning to launch a second wave of distractions. Donnie watches Sarina intently, his heart racing as he prepares himself. As Destiny and Asher take to dashing past from a distance, he stealths forwards, hoping that she keeps her back turned long enough for him to pin her down and get her reset.

He grows nearer, her reddened eyes still scanning the horizon as she watches the two groups closely.

He holds his breath as he reaches out, readying himself as he raises his USB-holding hand. Just as he's about to move, she spins around and catches his wrist with a murderous look in her eyes.

"You take me for a fool, Donatello," she hisses.

His mouth goes dry, his heart rate picking up substantially. He knows he has about a millisecond of time to react, but his mind is so frazzled that only one thing comes through in time. His free arm wraps around her swiftly as he shoves the one being held by her downwards. Before she can comprehend what he just did, he kisses her.

She stiffens, her eyes wide as they flash, almost as if the action renders her helpless for a split second. He reaches around presses his hand against the back of her head as he deepens the kiss, further distracting her from what he's doing.

He presses the spot on her hairline, feeling the USB port open. He jams the stick in as he breaks away from the kiss, stumbling backwards with wide eyes.

"What?! What have you-" Sarina stops, her entire body stiffening again as her eyes widen to a nearly impossible size.

The red of her eyes disappears, the spaces going completely white. She screams as she throws her head back to the sky, her limbs convulsing with shockwaves as her memories are restored. After what feels like forever, she goes silent and falls back to the roof, her eyes closing with the sound of a machine powering down.

Donnie gasps, rushing to her side and throwing himself to his knees. He lifts her into his arms, removing the USB stick from her neck and allowing the space to close. She doesn't respond to his touch, something that only makes him more nervous.

"Sarina? Princess...please tell me it worked...please..." he begs, his voice soft and weak.

She still says nothing, her body limp. Tears well in his eyes and he hugs her close to him, her head resting on his shoulder with her forehead against his neck. He sniffles and cries, rocking her carefully as he begs and pleads for her to respond, anything that would show him that she's alive.

"D...D-Donnie?"

He stops abruptly, taking in a gulp of air. He doesn't want to look down, a part of him not believing whether he just heard that voice or not.

A soft and lithe hand brushes his plastron and makes his body tingle, a warm puff of breath tickling his neck. He looks down, watching with hope bursting in his heart as Sarina's eyes flicker open, once again bright and blue. A small, tired smile twitches on her lips as she gazes up at her husband of sixteen years.

"Why are you crying?" she whispers.

He laughs through the tears, pulling her into an even tighter hug. "Sarina...my Sarina...Sari..."

"That's my name, don't wear it out," she jokes, cuddling against him.

He shakes his head, kissing her forehead, cheeks, and lips repeatedly. "I thought I lost you. I thought...oh, don't do that to me again. Please don't."

She rests her hand on his cheek and pulls him into a kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck. He shuts his eyes, the last of his tears drying as he caresses her soft white hair.

"I love you," he whispers when they pull away. "I love you so much."

She gazes up at him, a small smile resting on her lips. "I promised to always love you sixteen years ago. I'm not about to forget that."

He still doesn't release her from his arms as he presses a kiss to her forehead. "You're brilliant...backing up your memories like that."

She shuts her eyes again, letting his lips linger on her skin. "I only started it because of you."

"But you found a way to do it yourself. Therefore, you're smarter."

"I still think you're smarter."

"MOM! DAD!"

They look up to see Asher and Dakota racing towards them, followed closely by the turtles and Destiny. Sarina's face breaks into a wide grin as the twins almost throw themselves into their parents' arms.

"You're back, it worked," Asher whispers, cuddling against his mom the same way he did when he was a turtle tot.

"We knew it would happen," Dakota adds in, shutting her eyes as she enjoys the family group hug. "At least, I never stopped believing."

The turtles all let out long sighs of relief, smiling at their brother and his fixed up family. Destiny leans against Leo with a content smile softening her scarred face, and he wraps an arm around her.

"Come on, let's get home. The others will be back soon," he calls.

Everyone nods, heading off. Dakota and Asher dash ahead, feeling as if they've become as light as a feather. Donnie and Sarina walk with their hands intertwined between them, but the former can't help but notice that his wife seems troubled.

"Is something wrong?" he asks softly.

She sighs and nods. "I remember all that happened to me before the blackout. The Foot are coming back."

The sound of their old enemy makes Donnie tense up, but he still gives her hand a relaxing squeeze.

"Shredder isn't coming back. We can fight off whoever else it is," he assures her. "It'll just take some extra training and preparation. Furthermore, we can discuss this with the others back at home."

Again, the cyborg woman nods. "I fear what is to come...I hope it won't end badly."

He wraps an arm around her shoulder and kisses the side of her head. "I know. I want the same thing."

She rests her head on his shoulder, her gaze distant. Donnie returns his attention to the path ahead, wondering what the future will hold from here.
