Thursday I didn't have classes. I had woken up in my dorm room leaving some Lucky Charms out for Ailis so that when he woke up he would have something to eat. I changed my clothes into a matching tracksuit before heading out into the cool morning air. Today I just wanted to treat myself. There was no reason to stress out. My mother was away on a business trip. I wasn't going to worry about Miles and my mother's relationship because there was nothing I could do right now.

I place the headphone in my ears as I prepare for a morning jog. I wanted to run more often, I wanted to take better care of my body but I never seemed to find any time to. Once the music was playing I took off down the road weaving through the pedestrians as I kept a steady pace. The beat seemed to amp me up as it pulsed through my veins.

It felt really good to be on a run for the first time in a while. I wanted to stay in shape and I had somewhat let myself go. I cursed myself for staying up late with Ailis last night eating ice cream. Talenti was my kryptonite. The mediterranean mint was to die for and honestly I could eat it until I couldn't possibly move. Lucky for me the containers weren't that big.

I tried to focus on keeping an even pace as I ran. Being consistent would be the most important thing for this. I knew I needed to work out more than once a month, and my food consumption would need some adjustments as well. I shook my head, I didn't want to worry about anything today. I just wanted to listen to my music and get a little exercise in.

I couldn't have possibly ran for more than thirty minutes before I hit the main town. I slow my pace as the crowds get heavier and it become harder to dodge and weave through the pedestrians. Slowing finally to what felt like a crawl until I was just walking through the crowds. I decided a break couldn't hurt. I've been running for a while and this must have been a couple of miles.

"Oh my gosh look at that?" Children yell as they watch a entertainer do a contortionist act. I thought about stopping for a moment before shaking my head at the thought of watching someone do gross stuff with their body. Shivering I head into a small pastry, hopefully I would be able to get a drink of water and cool off before heading back to the dorms.

The air conditioned room was refreshing as I take a seat in the corner of the tiny place. I watch out the window as my legs shake under the table. My breath was still heavy, and I tried to focus on slowing it down before I head up to the counter to make an order.

Glancing up I look behind the counter towards the menu, maybe I would get something other than just water. I felt bad using the little cafe's space without making a purchase. Something got my attention though.

"Nathan?" I whispered as the handsome boy sat behind the counter smiling as he took an order from an older woman. I didn't know he worked here. I panicked glancing over my appearance. There was no way I was going to allow him to see me like this. I was a sweaty mess. I wiped my forehead with my hand trying to clean up the best I could. I jump up from the seat in the booth heading towards the bathroom. I needed to see how bad it was in case he had already seen me.

Once the door shuts behind me I place my hands on the sink leaning forward. My face was covered in sweat. My makeup smeared down my face slightly under my eyes. I cursed myself for not wiping it off before I left the house. I cupped some water out of the faucet splashing it against my face to refresh myself the best I could.

Other than how sweaty and gross I felt I didn't look that bad. It didn't look like I had been running all morning. I shook my head watching my reflection in the mirror. He still couldn't see me. What If I stink? I quickly smell myself the best I can. I must be used to is because I couldn't smell a thing.

"Alight Em," I whisper to myself as I watch my expression change in the mirror. "We need to sneak out of here without Nathan seeing us, how are we going to do that?" The door was right by the front counter and if I was lucky enough that he hadn't seen me come in, maybe he wouldn't see me leave. I needed to wait until he was too busy making someone's order.

Would he get angry with me again if he had seen me come in and I sneak out? I could feel the back of my throat as it grew scratchier by the second. I took a deep breath before heading towards the bathroom door. I reach forward pulling the door open before peeking around the corner to see where Nathan was behind the counter. He was busy staring at a coffee machine but unfortunately it was facing the direction of the bathroom.

I couldn't wait here all day so I needed to just make a run for it. I watched him carefully as he grabs another cup and begins to fill it up. My feet move faster than I had ever imagined them too. As soon as I was in the shop I was out of it.

I held my breath before taking the first few steps needed to make my exit as I watched him carefully. He never seemed to look up. I decided this was my chance and I bolted rushing towards the door as quickly as possible. Once I was back on the street I glanced through the window to see if anyone had noticed me. It seemed like my hasty exit had caused me more attention than I had originally thought it would. The entire line seemed to stare back at me, their wide doe like eyes blinking as they tried to figure out why I had left in such a hurry. This didn't seem important until my eyes shifted over to the handsome gentleman in uniform.

Nathan had busted me.

Instead of standing there enjoying the embarrassment I decided it would be beneficial for me to bolt towards my dorm. The sooner I could get off the street to avoid anymore embarrassment the better.

Once I was home I tried to avoid anyone on campus that I would know. Luckily for me everyone was still new so unless they were part of a clique they wouldn't know me. Soon enough I was in the safety of my room. I check the time on the clock to see that I had been gone for an hour and a half. Feeling accomplished I decided I needed to take a shower to get rid of the awful sweat.

I strip my clothes not even thinking to check where Ailis was. Entering the bathroom I grab my towel and praise the school for having a bathroom built into every dorm. I was thankful I didn't have to go shower somewhere else. I think at that point I would have just stayed home with my mother. I probably should have anyways. This dorm room was getting lonely but being home by myself wouldn't be any better.

I grab my shower caddy from under the sink ready to take a nice long hot shower. I had tried to keep the shower clean in case I did get a roommate here soon. I didn't want to have to figure out a new way of living.

When I enter the bathroom I'm greeted by the sight of a tiny leprechaun floating carefully in the water. I let out a yelp as I cover my eyes turning so he wouldn't see my body. The caddy falls to the ground as it hits the tiles with a loud clatter, sending my products flying around the bathroom. Ailis yells as he waives his fist in the air.

"'oy is someone supposed ter wash up raun 'ere withoyt sum privacy?" His words were hard to understand but I think I got their meaning. I wrapped the towel around me, holding my hand out to cover my eyes from seeing something I didn't want to.

"I'm sorry I didn't know you were going to be here?" I apologize as I keep my eyes clamped shut. If I would have known I would have waited or kicked him out earlier. "Are you almost done?"

"Chucker yer nu 'oy long it takes a leprechaun ter git clean?" I shook my head. How in the world was I supposed to know how long it took a Leprechaun to get clean.

"No, Ailis, I'm sorry I do not know how long it takes for you to get clean..." I let my words drift off as I placed the toilet seat down so I could sit on it.

"Weeks, we are derdy wee weasels after al'." He chuckled as he splashed some water over the edge of the tub.

I wanted to dive into the water and hold him under until he stopped kicking. My legs were beginning to tense up from the run and I needed a warm shower immediately before my muscles locked up.

"Well hurry up please," I tried to sound less annoyed than I actually was. I wanted to scream and throw him across the room but the nice person inside of me reminded me to hold my temper.

"Hey, waaat are we gonna chucker the-day? oi tink we shud go ter de park, it looks soun' outside," I shook my head looking at Ailis.

"What?" I shrug my shoulders. I was getting better at understanding his language, but somethings were just too messed up for me to even attempt.

"Can... we go to the park today?" Ailis took forever to speak, pausing almost every other word as he tried to get them out.

"Good, I'm glad you can speak english," I teased as I watched his wet matted hair, his hands rubbing some product through it. "Maybe we can go to the park today but honestly I was thinking about taking a nap if you would ever get out of the shower," I griped.

"We can't waste the day, maybe we should go see yur lassie," Ailis mutter, he was clearly focusing on his dialect. Trying his best to make each word proper and easy to understand.

"My lassie?" I question.

"Nathan," This was very clear in his Irish accent and my heart sank as he said it. There was no way I was going to embarrass myself again.

"No, we are not doing that," I snapped. The anger entering my body once again from the lack of a warm shower.

"Why?" He ponders for a moment. "Ye still waitin' for 'imself ter text yer back aboyt dis weekend?"

I guess you could say I was waiting for a response but it was only Thursday and that wasn't that important for the time. I shook my head.

"Get out, it's my turn." I leaned forward. I have had enough waiting. Reaching into the water I grabbed the plug pulling it out before heading into my room to wait for Ailis to get dressed. While I stood in the middle of the room, my foot tapping impatiently on the floor I hear muffled whispers echoing from the bathroom. I tried to listen carefully, inching my way back towards the bathroom. Was he talking about me? Did I just hear him say Nathan's name?

Before I could comprehend what he was saying the room around me began to spin. My eyelids feel heavy and I wanted to just lay down on the floor. Before I could even make it to my bed or a safe spot I collapsed on the floor as my eyes finally drift to blackness.

Everything went dark.
