Rohit looked at the letter in his hands.

He was always that nerdy, shy kid. Too afraid to talk with other kids. Then he met her, the chatterbox.

She was the one who talked to him first. Well ok she just wanted to copy his homework, but then just on a whim she wanted to befriend him.

He was bewildered by her behavior. Well anybody would, who would genuinely want to talk with a brick wall.

He was fascinated by her. The girl who filled his awkward silences with her constant chatter.

He fell in love with her, irreversibly, completely for eternity.

Then her father got transferred and she has to go with him. He cried in front of her, pleading her not to go, to not leave him alone. She held his right hand in hers and said, "Oh Mere Shona! Tu yu dukhi mat ho, I promise main pakka waapis aaungi tere paas!" (Oh My Sweetheart! Don't be sad, I will come back to meet you)

Rohit believed in her. That was the first time he had let her go and she did came back, just as she has promised.

Divya wanted to be an army officer, just like her father and he was scared. So damn scared that she won't come back to him.

She hugged him tightly and promised him she would come back to him like always. So he agreed, but the same evening he proposed her and she said "Yes". He gave her, her perfect engagement.

She left and he was alone once again. He always standing there where she left him, standing and waiting for her.

This time when she came back it wasn't with her brightest smile but in a coffin covered with the three colore for which she was ready to give her life.

He was devastated, the life they had dreamt together was destroyed in front of his eyes. He had let her go so that she can come back to him again.

But this time she left him forever. He did her final rites in a daze, to lost the pain of the broken dreams.

Her luggage arrived and with it was a letter, the letter she wrote to him.

I always wanted to tell you how much I love you. I know- I know you think that I did some kind of charity by loving you. But that's where you are wrong. I have always loved you for what you are! I love you, because you are my Rohit.

I don't know what will happen tomorrow, if I will be able to fulfil my promise to you or not.

But I want you to promise me if anything happens to me, "You will let me go" For my sake.
