Night shuttered, her back against the wall as she tried to calm down. Everything was going wrong, and her mind didn't like it. She breathed in, her breath fast as she looked at a picture of her and her boyfriend Axel. Her eyes flashed, going from their natural gray to a glowing white. The apricot fox let out a low growl, a sob following it as tears dripped down her cheeks. She ran out of the room, the tears blurring her vision as her speed increased. Foxina was talking to Frederick, looking over as Night skidded to a stop.  
         "Hey Night!" She beamed. Her smiled disappeared when she seen the tears. "Night?" She asked. The apricot fox looked between the two, her eyes flashing again before she turned and ran away. Axel walked in after, looking at his sister and friend.
        "What's wrong?" The older male asked. Foxina bit her lip and Frederick turned away. "Well?" He asked again.
        "Uh... Something's wrong with Night..." Foxina said finally, causing Axel to stop.
        "Like what?"

  Night tried to catch her breath, a hand on the wall to keep her from falling as she panted. Axel appeared behind her, grabbing her and pinning her to the wall. The smaller fox looked at her boyfriend in surprise, her eyes flashing once more.
          "A-Axel?" She stuttered, causing the older fox to sigh.
          "Night, are you ok?" Axel asked softly. Night bit her lip, and pushed him off of her, running off. The older male caught her foot, causing her to trip and look back at him. Night looked at him with terror in her eyes, and her entire body turned black, her eyes and teeth a glowing white, before disappearing. Axel blinked and picked up the picture of him and Night,  shaking his head and running off to find his girlfriend. Night reappeared in a different room, looking at herself in the mirror before gasping.
           "I-I don't even know my past..." She sang softly, looking at her hands. "I-I don't remember who I used to be... I don't remember my friends at all, I don't remember my destiny..." She looked at the mirror again. "M-my body is black and my eyes are white. What I've become, I have no idea... I only know one simple thing, the name I'm given, Absentia..." She hung her head, taking a deep breath. Axel walked in, stopping when he found her.
         "I don't even recognize your shining gray eyes, when you hide them behind that shadow disguise." Axel sang, causing Night to jump and look at him, before turning away. "I don't even deserve the love you have, you used to be a sweetheart, my other half." He showed her the picture of them. "I know I failed as a boyfriend, and I've tried my best to make it better again. Now I want you back in my arms and we can make this work, and I'm sorry for being a jerk." He finished, reaching his hand out for the shadow to take. Night was frozen, tears dripping down her face as she took her boyfriend's hand. Axel pulled her to him, hugging her tightly, the shadow hugging him back like he was the one going to disappear. The black covering Night's body faded, revealing the apricot fox with gray eyes Axel fell in love with.
        "O-oh Axel... I'm sorry..." The smaller fox said softly into his shoulder.
        "No baby girl, you're fine... It's alright..." Axel replied, rubbing her back comfortingly. Night pulled back some and looked at him with tears filled eyes. She pressed her lips to the older fox's, Axel returning the kiss instantly. They pulled away and hugged again, not wanting to leave each other's embrace.
         "I love you..." Night said softly, nuzzling his neck. Axel seemed to smile.
         "I love you too, sweetheart..." He replied.
