Dear Don,

"Nice socks" I said, smiling I say as I put my lei over my head before clipping my walkie to my purple jeans.

It's Teen Science Night.... my Teen Science Night... the LARGEST TEEN SCIENCE NIGHT ever!

And you are finally back.

Back from your other internship (oh the betrayal 🙄).

You wipped your head around, flipping that long hair of yours and flashing me that timid and teasing smile.

"It's already a colorful day - thanks for the leis by the way - so I decided to wear them as a shameless rainbow statement of my flaming homosexuality."

Then your tripped, flailing your lanky brown arms until you gained your balance once more.

"Knee-highs?" I ask, my smile getting bigger.

"Absolutely!"

"Way to go!" I claim, giving you a high fives, "You better rocks those tonight... just like you'll rock the people at Earthquakes." I respond, going in for the pun and letting my grin free.

The energy was just ecstatic.

And it just got better.

Everything went pretty smooth that night, and we were even able to sneak off to get slices of cold pizza without fear of getting "fired".

And when I was taking photos of you spinning on the roof, looking up at the starry night sky and breathing in the cool, crisp air - I realized how much I cherish moments like this.

How much I missed you and Rose.

How much I missed spending time with you - whether it be staring or squinting contests or planning how we should open our local Lush & Kiehl's spa.

And I know that you will never read this (unless you have a secret wattpad account that I don't know about - just like me) I just wanted to share this moment and tell you how much I appreciate you.
