Leyland Adventures Chapter Twelve: Part One

"Tysashi... Tysashi!"

"Bro, where are you?!"

"Please come back home, we miss you!"

"Tysashi! Please tell me you're still alive!"

"Tysashi, we need you! You can't leave your family and friends behind like this!"

"Wherever you are; we'll never stop searching! I'll search the entire universe if I have to! Every planet, every solar system, every galaxy! I'll look from top to bottom!"

"This planet feels miserable without him. There isn't a point in life if he isn't here."

"I won't give up on you. I was stuck on Venus for three days, and lived! I know you can survive!"

"Guys... I'm right here. Can you hear me?"

"Please come back...please. I can't live without you...you're the only man I've ever loved. There is no one else who can fit the keyhole of my heart... that title belongs to you for all eternity."

"Nya..."

"Both of you reveal your eyes to me at once!" Marissa commanded, standing over the bed.

Her booming voice ejected the two from their dreams and brought them to reality. With blurred vision, it was challenging to see her eyebrows weighted down and stern gaze.

"Y- yes, mother?"

"Get prepared as you'll be visiting Aquiline today. It'll be a tedious quest to receive the Aqua Gemstone, so move expeditiously."

Obeying her command, they abandoned the bed to freshen up. The topic of today was being discussed over a warm plate of pancakes, hash browns, and scrambled eggs.

"Now that you two are wide awake, we can begin. To obtain the remaining shards; you must find a water-type fairy and utilize their abilities to awaken a Hydro Stream. Hydro Streams are marked by Aquiline's divine symbol. Once activated, a rapid stream of water will appear. Simply walk inside and you'll be taken to a waterfall on a lonely land. Present the current shard, and you'll gain access to her environment. Rico should be able to assist you as there is a Hydro Stream within Palm Tree Beach. From there, you will inquire about the location of the shards."

"Mother, about the Corcyra situation. Have you devised a strategy yet?"

She paused. "I've nearly constructed the plan entirely. My men will invade her living quarters and drop a little surprise for her. I will soon savor the delicious taste of payback."

"I see."

"I demand that you accompany the guards, Tysashi. You'll learn a thing or two about what occurs when messing with royalty."

Swallowing the last of his meal, he gave her a thumbs-up. Aradressa arose from the table and approached the door.

"Tysashi." Marissa called.

"Yes, your majesty?"

"Have fun." She smiled.

Tysashi nodded with a wide smile, exiting the castle with Aradressa.

Walking under the light-pink sky, a conversation about Tysashi's homeworld stirred. Lenovo is a environmental planet overrun with dangerous creatures. Buildings are limited and the society is ran by the various creatures that reside there. It's an unusual world with a variety of distinct locations with severe weather conditions. Many powerful residents occupy the area as those with supernatural abilities are fit for survival. Despite this, the environment often grants spectacular views and unforgettable memories.

Arriving in an area of screeching seagulls and chlorinated water, the two met up with Rico. He greeted them with a delighted smile, awaiting their intentions.

"Rico, could you please direct us to a Hydro Stream? We're collecting the rest of the shards of the Aqua Gemstone."

"Absolutely! The stream isn't too far from here, please follow me."

As he escorted them through the area, an ecstatic Lily appeared. Her vibrant, golden hair and and infectious, enthusiastic cheers attracted Tysashi's attention. Her arms twined around his abdomen, asking about his activities for today.

"We're looking for a Hydro Stream to meet Aquiline to ask her about the rest of the Aqua Gemstone shards."

"Cool! Hey, Aradressa, did you ask him if he was alright with spending an entire day with me?" She clasped and swayed her hands innocently, as if she unintentionally put the princess on the spot.

She turned into stone for a moment, destroying her vocal chords to produce intelligible sentences.

"Yeah, I'm cool with that. We can hang out after the gemstone is formed. Promise."

"Ok! I'll be waiting!" She cheered, returning to her shop.

He waved as Aradressa swam her hands through the tamed sea of rose-pink hair. Eventually, the Hydro Stream was discovered. A sky-blue sketch of Aquiline's expressionless face within a bubble laid flat on the sand. Once activated, a continuous flow of water spewed. Thankful, the two stepped into the stream. Their bodies rocketed through the rushing water, far beyond the overweight clouds. Air swam inside their bubbled cheeks momentarily until they arrived to the waterfall. Giant, pointed stones circled the misty area. Orchid-colored rocks of varying sizes and green moss piled up near the entrance; resting above the transparent, shallow water.

Tysashi held the shard within close proximity of the waterfall, causing it to glisten. The pair gained access to Aquiline's hub area. The mute, space-like skies scattered over the realm. The multiple gushes of water assisted in supporting the round, flat platforms. Bridges connected to the expanded central platform divided into five separate paths; these paths functioned as entrances to other areas. A spacious, rectangular pool of water kept hold of numerous species of fish just beneath the surface.

Walking towards the core, their eyes couldn't help but wander. The tranquil, noiseless, and open environment certainly had its share of incredible views. The air remained moist and fresh, perfect for smoothing a stressed and tired soul. As their footwear kissed the mirror-like stones that formed the middle structure, a delicate voice ran through the air.

"Welcome."

Droplets of water combined to compose her body; short hair covering her eyes and a slim dress hiding her footwear as usual. Her liquid wings were gradually fluttering. 

"Excuse me, Aquiline, we'd like to get some information on the whereabouts of the other shards." He stated.

"I see. Come with me, alone."

Leaving the princess behind, she led him to the fifth platform. Standing on a Hydro Stream, they vanished into another area. He was transported to a vacant room with a singular, sizable platform in view. Thick lines of water periodically shot up before returning down.

"Nice room, is this some kind of relaxation area?"

"No, it's a battlefield. You're going to fight me." She answered blandly.

"Oh, I see. Well, I'll give it my all!" He cheered, exposing his pearly-white teeth.

Aquiline exhaled sobbing sighs as she unequipped the Rose Guard Necklace from his being. He didn't even attempt stopping her.

"This necklace is for weaker fairies. You're more than capable without it."

With that, she tossed the item into the abyss. He could only watch as darkness chewed through the glimmering gold. His heart tugged itself for a moment.

"Alright, ready?" Aquiline stood unenthused, not even moving her frowning lips.

"Ready." Tysashi stood with an eager smile, advancing his frozen, angled arms.
