Leyland Adventures Chapter Thirteen: Part Five

"So, you want to get pollinated?" Lennon questioned, throwing his eyebrow up.

Pelura nodded, explaining how she doesn't have a mate for mating season.

"Right, right. And mating is important for you flower people because you'll be able to give birth for more of you to pop up."

"We're called Lilypads, Lennon. Not only that, but when we mate with Beloums, they'll be able to produce honey for their queen." She corrected.

"I believe you were the Lilypad that mated frequently, Pelura. Males are usually attracted to light cream skin and wonderful ruby-red eyes. Not to mention your glossy waves of shamrock-green hair." Nya scanned her luscious body; she smelled of fresh flowers after showering in the rain.

"Maybe they don't wanna pollinate with the same girl every season." Lennon stated without an ounce of regret. "In any case, those guys want to try something new. I can't blame them."

"That's not helping with my problem, Lennon! I wish Tysashi was here. He'd know what to do. Speaking of which, why isn't he here helping me?" She questioned, folding her arms.

"First off, I'm not Tysashi. Secondly, I can't exactly answer that. Nya and I are looking for him."

"It's not like Tysashi would just disappear like that. I haven't seen him in weeks. You're his brother; you should know where he is always."

He immediately turned away from her, resisting the urge to roar like Godzilla. An argument built up in his mind, nearly splitting the young sibling. A breath of control had ran out his lungs before he turned back. "Look, I have no idea where he is. I'm just as bothered as you are, so please chill out."

"How do you expect me to chill out when one of Lenovo's greatest heroes is missing?!" She growled, invading his personal space.

Luckily, Nya returned with a suitable mate before Lennon could blow his fuse.

"This very nice man named Bero would love to mate with you, Pelura. He's a rookie from the military service their people provide for those want to protect the tribe."

Glaring at his blonde hair and light skin, Pelura immediately accepted her mate. Despite his lack of muscles, he seemed like a harmless mating partner.

"He's perfect! Thank you, Nya. Come on Bero, spread your pollen on me." She said, taking his hand and moving to a separate area to begin the process.

"While you two were barking at each other, I took it upon myself to find her a mate. It was surprisingly easy to convince him to mate with her." Nya stated with her hair flying in the breeze.

"Well, I'm glad her issue is off the list. Now we gotta lead the Blumblooms to a fresh drinking spot. Tysashi would always guide them to fend off their predators if he saw any around."

"Yes, I'm aware of that. I often wonder why you don't participate in the activities Tysashi does." She relayed, leading him to Fluorine Forest.

"Well, I'm not as eco-friendly. I don't really do things like that unless there's a reward for me. It's always been like that for me." He explained.

"Your only reward should be the gratification you receive from the precious animals of our peaceful world. Come to think of it, once we finish these tasks, we'll be taking a stroll through nature itself."

The young hero could feel the blood running through his body halt. His mind froze as his vocal cords no longer had the ability to produce sound. He knew there was no point in fighting against her. All he could do is nod and pretend to be interested.

"Fine, but immediately after, I'm going home."

"That's acceptable."
