It's another June and we know what comes with it. Another Pride Month. But what does this month mean?

It can mean a lot of things depending on where you are in the world. In general, Pride Month is an entire month dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQIAP+ voices, a celebration of LGBTQIAP+ community and history, and the support of LGBTQIAP+ rights. On Wattpad, Pride Month is a celebration of the LGBTQIAP+ community and stories.

The concept of Pride Month began with the Stonewall Riots, a series of riots for gay liberation. From the riots in June 1969, we have all come a long way. Now, this month may be your moment to join the Pride parades or you can emerge yourself in the community through various contests and events. As you can see, we have already begun our month of celebration on LGBTQIAP+ profile here. We will represent the LGBTQIAP+ community throughout the entire year and years after that. And this month is all about celebrating our identities.
