Henri perked up with the biggest grin on his face.
"Gilbert!"
He flung himself into Lafayette's arms. Lafayette laughed and hugged the young boy back.
"Why, I'm happy to see you, too Henri."
Just suddenly a beautiful girl Henri's age came inside and stood beside Lafayette.
When Henri let go of Lafayette, he noticed her and his body posture perked up immediately, his jaw dropping with disbelief.

Who he was seeing was his good friend (plus love interest) Honorine Dubois. She was on the same ship Henri was on going to the colonies.

Soon enough Honorine noticed the boy, her warm cornflower blue eyes brightened and a grin spreading across her face.
"Henri? Oh, Mon dieu, it's really you!"
A moment later Henri's stutters,
"Honorine! It's you!"
Honorine flung herself into Henri arms, crying into his shoulder. Henri hugged her back with the biggest grin on his face.
"Oh, I'm so happy to see you. I'd thought I'd never see you again!"
"Honorine, you knew Henri already?," Lafayette asked.
"Oui, Uncle Gilbert. He is a very dear friend of mine. He was on the ship with me."

"Well then, I'm very glad you know this fine young man."
"Hey there, Marquis, very to see you, my friend. What brings you and this young lady here today?"

"I want to introduce you to my newly adopted daughter, Honorine Claire Robinet Philippe Dubois. I want to ask if she could stay with you all while I'm a war."
"Yes! Let Honorine stay with us please!," Henri cried, begging Moses.
Mosses laughed.
"Of course she can. She can stay as long as she wants, Marquis."
"Merci, Moses. I can see that she is in goods hands already."
"So how did Marquis became your father, Honorine?", James asked.

When that question was asked, Honorine fell silent, a sadness shadowing her face. Henri glared at James before saying,
"I told you about her remember? She's the girl that was on the ship with me. When the plague struck, not only my parents died, but hers did, too."
Honorine added,
"After our parent's death, the captain took both of us in, but not in a good way at all. While Henri was his cabin boy, I was like a pretty object to him. I had to stay by his side at all times, and he treated me so horribly. I had no rights under his rule, and he could anything to me that he pleased.
After Henri escaped, the captain brought me to live in his house in the Connecticut colony.
There he enslaved me and treat me even more worse. Of course on the outside, I wasn't afraid of him and fought him back, but on the inside, I was scared of him, knowing what bad things he's capable of doing. This went on for two years, until one day I finally escaped from him. He was asleep when I did, and after grabbing all the food in his house and other supplies, I mounted my horse and rode far away. I soon settled in Boston, and that's where uncle Gilbert found me, and took me in as his daughter."
