ambrosius: "It's too late to add any meaningful changes but small things can be added"

 he pulls out his scroll that has a picture of cinder and her allies and the salem faction

Jaune: "I want you to make it when cinder fall, neo politian, mercury black, arthur watts, tyrian cowels, hazel reinhart, and salem and any other allies they will have will be highlighted by a big beam of light letting us know they snuck in among the refugees because their not dumb enough to come in without a disguise so I want that portal to scan and Identify everyone in their I know you can do it cause you smart not as smart as your sister but smart enough to pull these changes off also make it where the civilians can not fall off the path to their safety that should be well in your powers to grant"

Ambrosius: "Very well human it shall be added in"

he did as jaune told him jaune them grabbed the relic of creation and handed it to oscar

Ruby: "Jaune why didn't you say these thing earlier"

Jaune: "because I didn't think I have to rubyu you and your team were making all your plans and since you had 3 extra head helping you I though the 4 of you would have thought of it but looks like I was wrong but I don't blame you everyone been putting all this stress on you me included but no more I will handle it myself you have enough to worry about with you learning how to use your silver eyes and finding a way to stop salem so take it easy alright you didn't make me team rangers strategist for no reason right?"

he gives her a smile as he walks into the portal to help ren, nora, and oscar evacuate the people

Weiss: "Ruby have we really been putting to much pressure on you?"

Ruby: "What n no you have not jaune doesn't know what he talking about!"

she tried to lie about it and fail miserably

Yang: "Sis you always been a bad liar still are look its ok don't worry we will start carrying our own weight like jaune said you have a lot on your plate we should be helping you shoulder this responsibility not making it harder for you"

Blake: "Yeah ruby you maybe the leader but that doesn't me we as a team and as your friend does not mean we cant help you make the load lighter for you"

Ruby stood their in deep thought before walking in

a few hours later they all see a beam of light

Jaune: "Their here! we have to intercept them! ruby stay with penny your silver eyes are the most effective thing we have against cinder since she part grim so you will protect her with me! ren nora and oscar continue to protect the civilians everyone else try and stop neo!"

from here it follows cannon all the way up to the penny taking the fatal hit

Jaune: "No no no! he immediately starts to heal penny with ruby there watching in horror"

Penny: "no there is not enough time jaune"

Jaune: "No no I can fix this I can heal you not stop trying to stop me and let me do it"

Ruby: "Yeah penny just let jaune heal you"

Penny: "I can't be save jaune, ruby it take too much time to heal and cinder will reach us if you do so so please let me choose how I die"

Jaune with tears forming in his eyes

Jaune: "no no you don't have to do this I can do this please I can't lose anymore friends no"

Penny: "It's going to be ok jaune, ruby this is what I want and this is the best option we have in what little time we have"

she grabs jaune hand that was holding the broken crocea mors and slowly tries to make jaune stab her but hes resisting as hard as he can

ruby just stands there in tears but harden her eyes deciding to grant penny her wish as her friend so she puts her hands on jaunes and made him push down killing penny and transferring the maiden powers to winter

they fall down the same as cannon but as they were falling jaune eyes open up and he see ruby and crescent rose falling down he gets a determine look and dives down to ruby wrapping his arms around her and then changing their angle to fall down faster and towards crescent rose also grabbing it before they crashed into the beach with jaune flaring up his aura as much as he can to cushion their fall

they crash into the water with jaune doing his best to drag them out onto land

A few hours later ruby wakes up

Ruby: "where am I?"

Jaune: "you're finally awake good I think we fell into a different world or dimension all together"

Ruby: "oh and how do you know that"

Jaune: "well ambrosius and jinn have stated we should be careful not to fall where we where walking was the "void" between worlds they had to use the void to grant our wish we where asking for and well theirs talking animals and plants here it like this world runs on story book or cartoon logic"

Ruby: "ok say I belive you then what do we do now?"

Jaune: "we survive and find a way back and those 3 lights up their I believe it yang, weiss and blake so until they land we should figure out what we can"

he stands up and hold his hand out to her

Jaune: "their no rush either I don't know how time flows here but this could be our much needed break"

he pulls her into a hug

Jaune: "and after what we been through what you been through I say we deserve it but no one deserves it more than you do So let it all out I am not going to leave you alright"

ruby breaks down right their with jaune just holding her providing her with comfort until she calms down

Jaune: "their feeling a little better now that you let it out"

ruby could only nod

Jaune: "then lets go"

as they walk around they encountered many weird things such as talking flowers, animals and even tentacles like from blakes smut eventually though they come across a tree that was bearing fruit that looks like a pocket watch

Jaune: "what in the world?..."

Ruby: "you know this is not as weird as the thing we saw that led us to here"

Jaune: "You know what your right"

he picks off the fruit and it immediately activated and started turning back time only stopping after they broke it

Jaune: "fuck in damn it I am so stupid of course the tree would be magical god damn it! we been dealing magic for so long  that I honestly stop recognizing it I fucking hate magic!"

Ruby: "Hey hey its ok so what we went back in time this is a good thing we we don't have to go back their now for a while we can just stay here in peace together we can recover you know finally get time to relax and face our trauma at our own pace right?"

Jaune: "sigh your right an I am glad its you I am stuck here with if I was alone I i wouldn't know what I would have done"

ruby: "well we have all the time in the world now what should we do now"

Jaune: "what you will be doing is sitting down and relaxing what I will be doing is making us a place to stay I seen your bunk bed at beacon rubes that thing not safe at all and as a proud frontier boy I know how to build just about anything that not a gun or mecha shift and I am pretty good around the house"

he walks up to a tree and rips it out of the ground with a small flash of his aura and he got to work using what left of crocea mors to carefully, cut and carve the logs into proper shapes to make the house

Ruby: (Oh good old reliable jaune if their one thing jaune arc excelled in before he got good at fighting it was his reliability he know how to do just about anything that wasn't hunter related a real house husband it what made him so attractive to anyone who actually took the time to know him which is probably why it was only me and pyhrra that loved the goof)

Ruby: "I think its time I just be a girl my age no more being a hero a huntress time for me to enjoy just being a normal girl with normal knees until we have to leave"

she says softly so jaune can't hear her
