- Oblivion -

I growled. "I choose die."

My mother gasped. She turned to my dad.

"Now, son." He said cautiously. "We've raised you. You wouldn't be here today if we never loved you."

"LIES!" I screamed. "YOU DON'T LOVE ME! IF YOU ARE SENDING ME AWAY THEN THOSE ARE LIES! ALL LIES!"

I slapped them both and stormed upstairs, into my bedroom, and cried myself to sleep.

- Hope -

I stared at my brother through my tears. "H-Howard?"

"You know what, Hope?" He smiled warmly. "We're going to be loved at this new place. You're going to be loved. Forget our parents. It's about time we choose our own paths."

I smiled. "Yeah."

- Howard -

Anger flashed through me. How dare they send such a sweet young eevee away! Now she was crying!

"H-Howard?"

I stared at my little, innocent sister. "You know what, Hope?" I tried to smile encouragingly. "We're going to be loved at this new place. You're going to be loved. Forget our parents. It's about time we choose our own paths."

She smiled, making me feel happier. Darn, that girl could be cute.

"Yeah." She said.

"Now, get to bed." I told her. "Big day tomorrow."

She lay down and fell asleep. I walked out and sat on my own bed.

I was right. Big day tomorrow.

- Starfall -

I wanted the sadness to just disappear. It never would, though.

I fought my tears as I drew. I did not focus on it. I thought the negative thoughts I was always against. Look at me now, Andrew.

When I finished I stared at the horror of my drawing.

Shadows in the background snapped at the group of poor, terrified pokemon. The pokemon, terror in their eyes, ran from them.

For the first time, the realistic way I drew things scared me. That one eevee. . . . It looked just like me.

I shook the thought off and climbed into bed. I always had nightmares ever since I found out I was being sent away.

They just continued.

- Falcon -

I lay down. Looks like I was sleeping on the roof tonight.

I stared at the stars. Why me? I silently asked the heavens.

As usual, I got no answer. I knew I was not good enough to talk to the heavens yet.

My eyelids became heavy. I was about to close my eyes when a shooting star flew across the sky.

I wished the same thing I always did. I wished I could see the future. I wished I could open my third eye.

But I felt the need to wish something else.

Give me true love. Please.

And I closed my eyes.

- Nathan -

I sat on the floor, feeling as powerless as ever. I knew I had to find that place.

I marched through the remains of the broken punching bag. When I got to the door, I smashed it open with my awesome skills.

I ran to a window and paused. I opened the window.

My parents ran in. "Nathan?" My mother, a espeon, called sweetly.

"Tell the big dumb monster who said I need to be sent away he needs to pay for this." I smashed the window. "All of it."

My parents stared at me, their mouths agape.

"Now." I demanded.

My parents called the "big dumb monster."

"Hello? Sir? Yes, our son - yes, Nathan - he just broke our door and window and said you must pay for the damage. No sir, we do not know why. Oh, yes. Yes indeed."

I smiled. "Hey!" I shouted. "Ya big loser! I'm going to that place myself! Gimme directions or I'll break down your door and steal stuff!"

My parents stared at me. They passed me the phone.

Once I knew the way I asked him: "So. . . . Go now?"

He said, "Tomorrow."

I stared at the clock. "Ok."

I walked into my room and started packing. I should have done this already. But now I was ready for the adventure.

When I was packed I jumped into bed.

As my eyes closed I thought, On this journey I will never give up.

Oh boy, I wish I knew how hard that would be back then. I would have run away. Oh well.
