People say life goes too fast and that kids should act their age. Some people actually grow up early. Others grow up on time or never grow up at all. Parents and people of society expect teens at the age of sixteen to start searching for jobs and act like an adult. I was expected to prepare and know at the age of fifteen. My parents would keep asking "What do you want to be?" or "How do you plan to get the money to buy your own home"? I really didn't know. I didn't really know where to begin! However, when my mom takes all thirty of my notebooks and chucks them in the pond, I knew I was expected to act different as my life was going to change.

Monday on August seventh at eleven o' clock, I had an interview at Wendy's. It was my fifth interview. Two at McDonalds and two at KFC's. They all failed, not knowing the reason why...until I watched what not to do at an interview on YouTube. My reasoning was what put me off! Yes, I was honest on telling them that I needed the money to help my mom with food and to save up to move out, but I found out that, that's not what I was supposed to say!
I entered Wendy's with a soft smile on my face. Walking up to the counter, I told one of the crew members that I was here for the interview. She handed me a cup and told me to wait at the table near the window. I filled the cup with Dr.Pepper, sitting down where I was told. Ten minutes later, the manager came over and started asking questions. I made sure I answered quickly to let her know that I had an interview before and knew the questions she asked. She took a lot of notes, asking more questions than all the other interviews I was at. Smiling, I made sure I kept eye contact and payed close attention. Once the interview was done, we shook hands and I went on my way.
"How was the interview?" Mom questioned curiously.
"She asked more questions and took a lot of notes," She gives me a questioning look.
"Did all the other interviews take notes?" I shook my head as she smiled with glee.
"That means they're interested! You might actually get a job!" I sigh in slight hope. We then drove off to our next destination.
