"Adira..." Chad whispers.

His eyes turn glossy as tears were threatening to fall down his cheek.

"Boy, you interested in her?" Jack called out to him.

Chad suddenly straightened himself up and took a few deep shaky breaths. He also blinked a few times and looked up making sure it wasn't noticeable that he no doubt was about to cry. He turned to Jack and nodded.

"She's pretty one isn't she?" He smiled.

"She's-" he paused and looked at her, "Gorgeous."

"Well if you ever want to try her out..." He winked, "Come talk to me. You're welcomed as long as you give me something in return."

Chad nodded before he walked out of the cell, tosses the keys to the man who gave it to him then quickly headed for the door. But before he was allowed out, Jack called him making Chad turn around.

"Don't tell your group about this." Jack told him, "We don't want to seem like we are the bad guys that can't be trusted. Just know, they attacked us and we had to defend ourselves."

Chad smiled and nodded before turning and exiting the building. It didn't take him long till he sprinted to his room where he noticed no one was in there. Once the door was shut he began crying and pacing around as he constantly rubbed his eyes, face and the back of his head with both hands. The group finally arrived back after what seemed like forever in Chad's head. They came back laughing and enjoying themselves until they see Chad, causing them to frown and furrow their eyebrows.

"Chad, you okay?" Erin asked.

"Yeah, kid, are you feeling well?" Tom asked in concern.

"They have her." Chad said pacing back and forth from one side of the room to the other as he was trying to keep his breath steady but failed, "Adira, they have her." he starts biting his fingers before rubbing the back of his head and bringing his hands down to his face as he breathing comes out shaky, "She's alive."

"Well where is she?" Erin quickly asked, "Let's go get her."

"Can't..." He said biting his finger nails, "... We can't."

"Well, why the hell not?" Erin asked folding her arms over her chest.

"Cause you guys are not supposed to know she's here." Chad said, "When I was walking out Jack, their leader, told me I shouldn't mention it to you guys. Something about not wanting to make you think he's the bad guy and such."

"Well if they have her captured then they are bad guys." Erin said.

"Well what are we going to do?" Mari asked, "Just leave her there."

"Nope, nope..." He shook his head rapidly, "No, I refuse to leave my world hung up on a wall waiting for another one of these disgusting waste of human being called men use her to pleasure themselves."

"Kid, if you have a plan now would be a good time to tell us." Tom told him lifting his arms to point at everyone and looking at each side of him.

"No, I don't have one now." Chad said as he stopped pacing and pointed a figure at him, "But when I do I could tell you if she gets hurt this will end in blood." With that he walked to the door and as he was about to pull it open he turned to look at them, "Get out of the room. Go do something but don't come back in here until I say so. And don't tell Jack anything." He whispers the last part not wanting anyone to hear except his group before finally leaving shutting the door behind him.

When he left everyone except Erin and Ben looked shocked.

"That kid has many problems." Braden commented.

"No." Erin shook her head as she dragged out the 'o'," That's just Chad."

"Was he always this scary?" Diana looked at Erin and Ben.

"Only when it came to her." Erin responded, "He loves her. When anyone messes with her, who knows what Chad would do."

Everyone looked back at the door and just stared at it.

"So..." Tom asked, "What do we do now?"

"Yeah, do we leave or what?" Braden asked.

"Yeah, we probably should." Erin said, "I rather not find out what Chad would do if we didn't listen. Tom and Mari and the children should go to your rooms everyone else just scatter about. Just don't be anywhere near this room or building."

"Or Jack." Braden added.

They all nod and left the room scattering away from the room.

Meanwhile, Chad was in the jail house making conversation with Jack and Dan all laughing. Every now and then he would steal glances at Adira when both Jack and Dan looked away. When they looked back, he quickly turned his head and acted as if he wasn't staring at her at all, which he did very well.

"I think I'm starting to warm up to you, kid." Jack said, "Here have a drink." He picked up squared glass bottle that read 'Jack Daniels' and held it out to Chad.

"Oh, no, thanks." Chad said shaking his hands in front of him to turn down the offer, "I'm not really into Jack Daniels." Chad took a second to glance to the side at Adira once again.

"Boy, you've been staring at her since you've seen her." Jack told him making him come out of his trance.

"What? Oh um-" Chad looked back at Adira then at Jack as he looked confused.

Jack and Dan's laugh filled the air, "You have been staring."

"Oh-" Chad looked down in embarrassment.

"If you want some of that then you could go have your way with her." Jack told him pointing the bottle he offered to Chad at Adira, "Tell you what first one free."

"What?" Chad said still confused, "Oh no."

"Sure, kid." Jack said grabbing the keys from the desk behind him and handing it to him, "Go ahead, I insist. She looks your age anyways maybe you'll like her."

Chad took the keys that were pressed into his chest and stood up, "Um- Okay, cool." He said trying to act natural.

He walked to the cell, unlocked it and walked up to Adira. He looked at her before she was dropped without warning. The sudden move startled him but luckily for her he caught her in shock. He held her by her waist, her head dangling down and her back curved a little. Chad looks down at her as he held her as if he was dipping her after they just finished dancing. He held her back gently with one arm and snaked his other arm under her legs. He lifted her like she was nothing and walked out of the cell.

"How do I-um-" He stuttered looking at Jack and Dan, "Get her across without people noticing?"

"Oh right." Jack said taking his feet off the desk and stood up, "Here cover her with this. Pretend it's a bunch of blankets." He said throwing a large thin blue blanket on top of Adira's body.

"Um- Okay then." Chad said lifting her up a bit before walking out of the building and quickly taking her to the room he's staying in.

Once he managed to open the door, he walked in shutting the door with his feet and putting Adira gently on the bed. He then went to the door and locked it making sure no one could get it especially Jack or one of his men. He rushed to the bathroom, grabbed a wash cloth and rinsed it in warm water before taking it back to Adira. He removed all the hair that was in her face and stuck to it with the dry blood that washed down her face. He kneeled at the bed side and gently started scrubbing her face trying his best to clean all the blood off her.

"Baby?" Chad spoke softly as her brushed more hair out of her face, "Baby, it's me Chad." He continued to brush her face with his hand and look at her with focus and sympathy gazing from  her light brown eyes to her neck, "Baby, please wake up." he begged.

All he got was a moan from her and shifting.

He stood straight up and sat at the edge of the bed right next to her and sat her up, "Adira?" he whispers into the side of her head and placing a gentle kiss on her temple, "Babe, say something. Are you hungry? Have you eaten?" He said gently grabbed his bag to where he left at the corner of the bed, "I have granola bars." He pulls a granola bar out and held it in front of her, "Um- I also got um-" he paused as he dug through his backpack and pulled out jerky stick, "Oh, jerky. You like jerky; did you want some of that?" When she didn't answer he tossed the jerky to the side and dug through his backpack again, "Oh how about cookies? You love Oreos." He looked at her as she leaned against his shoulder, "Baby, please answer me. Listen we are going to get you out of here okay?"

He paused for a moment before Adira groaned again and turned to where she was now lying on her stomach with her face in the pillow.

"Babe?" He whispers in a sad voice as he sat next to her and rubbed her back, "I'm sorry." He turned to where his feet were now off the bed and had his back faced to her as he bowed his head.

He started weeping as he thought of all the possible things he could have done to help her. Everything he could have done to stop her from having to go through this. As he continued weeping, he felt two tiny arms wrap around his waist and when he opened his eyes and wiped them he noticed Adira's arms wrapped around him with her head on his thigh, face dug into his stomach and  her legs on the other side. He smiled and began petting her causing her to smile a bit.

"Love." She whispered as her grip got tighter and took a fist full of his plain white loss shirt and held it.
