UNKNOWN FOREST 

REMNANT

After Lincoln went through the portal, he and Charles landed on the other side. After standing up and dusting himself off..he slowly started to walk away with Charles following close behind him.

"I wonder where we are?" Lincoln asked Charles who just turned his head slightly to the left. 

GRRRRRR....

"C..Charles? What is that?" Lincoln asked before Charles jumped in front of Lincoln and started to growl at something in the bushes. Before long..a black creature riding a horse with half a body of a man with a bone chest plate and a mask walked up towards them making Lincoln back up slowly.

"W..What is that thing? Someone...H..HELP ME!!" Lincoln cried before the creature got shredded to pieces by a tall woman wearing a red dress.

"What are you doing here little boy?" The woman asked.

"I..I went through a portal and wondered into the forest with my dog..Charles." Lincoln said.

"A portal...huh?" The woman said.

"Yes. After running away from my dad...well he isn't my real father." Lincoln said sadly.

"What do you mean?" The woman asked.

"Well...my mom and my dad were fighting when Mom said that she cheated on my dad with another man. That's when he punched her and tried to kill me before Charles stopped him. Before he could take Charles away...I ran out and started to walk towards the woods." Lincoln said.

"You poor boy. You must have been so scared." The woman said.

"I was..Ms?" Lincoln said.

"Cinder Fall. Now follow me...You must meet my mistress." Cinder said.

"Wait..Can I take Charles too?" Lincoln asked.

"Yes. Now let's get out of here. This world is dangerous and I fear that you won't survive the night." Cinder said.

As Lincoln followed Cinder back to meet her mistress...Cinder felt her blood boil at the thought that his parents would just let him wonder the woods without trying to find him. It reminded her of her parents who liked to abuse her and she refused to subject Lincoln to such abuse. At this point, she swore to kill the Louds unaware that she'll meet the man of her dreams and adopt another child.
