3 months later

Kopa pov.

I've been in this jungle for what feels like forever at this stage, I feel as if I've grown up here at this stage, I've been fighting for survival against wolves, Panthers and even bears, I feel like it has helped me grow as I've developed a lot of muscle at this stage, however I have also been hearing some strange things that have been happening in the jungle, I heard about a lion that has been roaming the lands, at first I just assumed that they were referring to me till I heard some descriptions of this lion, a black mane, grey fur, a sicking look to him, that definitely did not sound like me at all.

My stomach began to growl loudly reminding me that I had still not have gotten breakfast for myself, I slowly rose up to my feet and stretched while letting out a loud yawn before I began my stroll through the jungle to search for a delicious breakfast, I sniffed the air as I walked, there's a lot of different smells in the jungle and definitely a lot of different sounds, the monkeys are super loud it is sometimes very annoying, they're so loud! While walking I noticed a deer "finally I found something tasty!" I thought to myself as I ducked down in the tall grass, making sure not to make any sounds as I slowly began to walk closer just hoping to the great kings of the past that my stomach wouldn't growl and ruin my chances of this tasty catch.

Just as I was about to lung out at the deer I suddenly saw another lion jump out and catch the deer and kill it pretty much instantly, I was shocked not expecting to see another Lion around here, however from my shock I stood outside of my cover and before the lion took another bite he looked over at me with just as much surprise on his face as I had. He had a black mane, and grey fur....this is the same lion I heard about before. I began walking over to him"heh well I wasn't expecting this today" I said with a chuckle, the grey lion chuckled as well "same, the names Nuka" he said with a slight smirk, I smiled back and sat down "my names Kopa, nice to meet you" Nuka's eyes widened once I finished that sentence which did leave me feel pretty confused myself "so, you are simbas son?" He asked braking the silence "um, yeah I am, but I've been away from home for a long time, I got lost here when I was a cub" I replied he then sighed "yeah I left home too, however I left for a different reason...you see, I'm an outsider" he finally let out looking down almost as if he was feeling humiliated I put my right paw on his shoulder "hey relax man, you seem nice to me, I'm not going to judge you cause you were banished as a cub, if anything my father should be blamed for that" I grunted, Nuka smiled at me feeling relieved "heh, thanks, that means a lot to me Kopa, you are pretty cool too. Hey I have an idea, maybe if we help each other we could get more food, don't think this fill us both after all, hell I doubt it would fill one of us" I laughed at the suggestion but it was definitely true "yeah sure sounds like fun!" I replied with enthusiasm before jumping back to my feet, finally I have a good friend here in the jungle.

We both nodded to each other before we headed off to search for food. We found a good amount of different animals so the hunt did feel successful, Nuka introduced me to his cave that he has taken as his own, it seemed very roomy and it wasn't really dark thanks to the light from the sun that shines in fairly easily "wow this place looks great Nuka!" I said with enthusiasm, we dropped down the food and Nuka smiled "thanks Kopa and thanks for the help, it's great to know that I am no longer here alone" Nuka said with a slight bow and I nodded in agreement "definitely, I'm glad I'm not alone anymore as well and all this food looks like a feast to me!" I licked my lips while staring at the food which caused Nuka to chuckle.

We both sat there for a bit laughing together before we dug into our well deserved meal. As we talked we learned a lot more about each other, Nuka told me about the outlands, it really sounds like a terrible place, I can't believe my father would force Cubs to live there, that's so cruel! I also told Nuka about the pride lands and the problems I had with my dad, while Nuka told me about the problems he had with his mother Zira, guess our positions are a bit similar. At this point neither of us saw much of a point in returning home, we would both probably be punished by our parents and we are doing fine here, but I also really want to prove to my father once and for all that I'm not some push over, while Nuka wants to prove that he could very well be a responsible leader, so who knows maybe soon we'll return home, we might even be able to unite the out lands and the pridelands once again.

After we both finished we lied down to relax, however from outside I could hear something, it kind of bothered me so I turned to Nuka "hey Nuka, do you hear that?" I whispered, he listened out for a bit for the sound and then nodded "yeah, I can hear it, gives me a strange feeling, as if it's coming for us" Nuka whispered back, I nodded in agreement and got up, Nuka got up as well and we both walked to the exit so that we can find out where the sound was coming from.
