MASON BROWNE WAS A GOOD AGENT. S.H.I.E.L.D. had adopted her into their ranks and she quickly rose up the ladder due to her efficiency in training and her skill set. That being said, Fury trusted her with some of the difficult missions ━ of course, she was nowhere near as good as Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton.

It was supposed to be an easy mission.
The S.T.R.I.K.E. was supposed to accompany and protect Viktor Laskin ━ a Russian politician ━ from the moment he stepped on U.S. soil to the moment he left. Nobody was supposed to know he was in the States. It was supposed to be quick, get him to his meeting with the president and get him right back out before anyone knew he was there.

But, the mission didn't go as planned. Someone had been reckless and leaked the truth, jeopardizing the mission and the team. And, the cold blue eyes of the Winter Soldier will haunt Mason forever.

I am going to say this now, but this book is going to be a slow burn! Like, incredibly slow to the point where Mason and Bucky probably won't get together until the last few chapters! I really want to write a story where I focus on the main character and her story. Mason's recovery will be the most important part of this book. Regardless, I hope you all enjoy!
