Chapter 2 : Platform 9¾

"All students must be equipped with one standard size...2 pewter cauldron and may bring if they desire either an owl, a cat or a toad" Harry informs as he reads through a parchment.

"An owl, a cat or a toad?" Jade pauses "what kind of a lunatic owns them" she questions with disgust.

"But that's not the real question Jade" Harry informs as Jade's green eyes glimmer in the bright sunshine "But can we find all this in London?" He interrogates.

"If you know where to go" Hagrid morosely answers making Jade to scrunch her nose.

The two newbies walk beside the talk and well built giant, Jade scans the place around her with her tiny little eyes. This was all soo new to her, she hadn't been out of her foster home, not once. The world amused her, magic would do so too.

"Where are we headed to Hagrid?" Jade questions completely interested.

"You'll see we're almost here" Hagrid shuts her off.

As they near a shop which looked more like an old-fashioned bar, the sign next to it suddenly lights up.

"Couldron" Jade whispers to herself as they step into the bar.

An old man shouts at Hagrid "The usual eh?"

"No! I'm here on official Hogwarts business" Hagrid informs the old man.

Hagrid continues to speak of Harry, and people begin recognising him. Something catches Jade's attention and she begins walking in it's direction. She stands still infront of the photograph. She looks at it deeply, her green eyes meet the eyes of the portraits.

"That's Albus Dumbledore" one of them tells her "You're going to Hogwarts eh?" He questions and Jade simply nods. "The man is something we never understood. Hope you understand him" he scoffs scaring Jade.

She quickly makes her way back to Harry and Hagrid, she silently stands beside Hagrid as people begin whispering about Harry.

"I-i can't believe I met you at-at last!" A man stutters making Jade let out a small laugh.

"No Jade" Hagrid warns and Jade's face straightens "This is professor Quirrel, he's a professor at Hogwarts and he will be handling Defence Against Dark Arts" Hagrid informs Harry.

With a few more words said, Harry, Jade and Hagrid get back on their way to find the things they were supposed to inherit before reaching Hogwarts. They come in contact with a stone wall, and Hagrid reaches out for his umbrella. He then slowly begins to tap the wall in a pattern and the stone wall moves.

"Woah" Jade compliments amused.

Harry and Jade, new to the world of Witchcraft and Wizardry look around woth their tiny eyes scanning the most possible with them.

"But I don't have money to by all of these" Harry complaints.

"I know-- here we are the safest place ever and even Hogwarts" Hagrid tells them as the come insight with a huge rustic building painted white with big bold words "Gringotts" inscribed on them.

The trio walk inside to spot innumerous of workers, shorter in size and unbelievable in looks, Jade clenches Harry's shirt tightly and walks dangerously close to him.

"Harry Potter would like to make a withdrawal" Hagrid announces and a goblin slowly looks up.

"And does Mr Harry Potter have his keys?" He questions with a smirk on his face.

"Ah yes, somewhere here" a clumsy Hagrid begins looking for Hagrid's keys and Jade smiles shaking her head and realises she had been gripping onto Harry's shirt for a very long time, and she slowly let's go of it.

They arrive at a vault numbered 687 through a coster and get off, the goblin slowly begins to insert the key and the vault opens revealing a huge amount of money making Jade gasp.

"But--what about me?" Jade asks sadly, realising she had no parents.

"Dumbledore is a very kind man" Hagrid tells her and they move onto a new vault numbered 713, earlier Hagrid had handed a letter to the goblin at the reception and had a secret conversation, he slowly picks a small baggage and leaves.

Harry and Jade go on their separate ways, she spots an off-white owl with blackspots, she slowly walks towards it and pets its head.

"You're beautiful" she tells him.

She proudly walks in and announces "Give me the owl which has been here for the longest time" after a while of searching they come up with the same owl she had spoken to earlier and she lets out a small laugh and takes it from the man selling the owls.

"Oh no wait-- Hagrid informs me that my money...I haven't given..." She trails and the man shakes his head.

"They transaction has been made, please go ahead" he nods patting her head. Jade proceeds to a wand shop and slowly reads out "Olliwanders" and walks in, and as soon as she does a wand falls out causing an old man to look at her. He was standing on a stool putting away the wands, he scrunches his eyebrows and gets off the stool.

"And who might you be?" He questions picking up the box, he opens it and gasps at the sight of it.

"Jade" she answers "don't ask me my last name, I honestly don't know" she shrugs.

"This--wand chose you" he says handing over the box, his hands were shivering but he manages to hand them over. "Transactions have already been made please leave" he says, a frightened Jade briskly walks out of the shop and looks at it one last time.

"I have to leave now!" Hagrid informs handing over a ticket to Jade and Harry respectively.

"9¾?" Harry exclaims "there's no such platform is there?" He questions looking up to see a disappeared Hagrid.

"Guess we're on our own now" Jade informs walking forth.
