It's the day of exam results. I am seated in homeroom. I feel calm, confident in my skills after months of preparation. I feel slightly relieved that the hellish anticipation in over.

I look around and see my classmates. Shikamaru is somehow asleep. Ino is biting her nails nervously. Naruto is staring at the white board blankly. Sakura, on the other hand, looks as if she's at the brink of crying.

Kakashi clears his throat. "Before you get your results back, I'd like to congratulate the top student."

I already know who it is. Naruto smiles at her.

"Haruno Sakura scored ninety-five percent or over on all subjects, and specifically showed her skills in biology, scoring a ninety-nine percent."

Kakashi sends his familiar eye-crinkle in the way of Sakura. She looks ecstatic.

"Uchiha Sasuke scored second place in the class, and Nara Shikamaru scored third. Please, give a round of applause."
