Alexandra

I woke up to hear a beeping sound and looked over to see wires on my arm connected with a machine. I sat up to scan my surroundings to see where I was and it was the General Hospital. When the door open the doctor walked over with a clip board in his hand.

"Alexandra is it?" He asked.

"Yes sir," I replied.

"You were shot on the side of the hip and the good news is that the bullet didn't hit your kidney. We removed it out of your body, but you still need to stay in bed for about a week." He said.

I nodded as he wrote something else on my medical history as I flinch when I tried to get comfortable in the hospital bed.

"Uh, doctor? Is Judith Barsi alright?"I asked.

"Judith? The little girl that is a child actress is fine she's been treated as well. No injuries except the bruises founded to be from her father. Would you like her to come in here?" 

"Yes," I said.

The doctor left the room leaving me alone to wait for Judith to arrive in my room. When the door opened I saw Judith wearing a hospital gown like me as her eyes beamed when she saw me. She ran over and hugged me so tightly that I ignore my hip pain.

"Alex, I was so scared and worried about you w-when my d-d-dad shot you." She quivered.

"I'm fine. I feel as normal as I should be except for my hip though. It'll be back in shape!" I reassured.

"The doctors told me that my mommy was dead too. He shot her when she came to save me, but she was too late after..."

I comforted her and whispered, "Let's not talk about it. Your mom did everything she could to get you out of this mess and I'm willing to if it's the last thing I do."

"Thank you, Alex."
