"However, even though the 3DS games are done, Generation 7 is still not done yet. But before we continue, I want to show you a game that you can use on your Arc Phone."

As I watch her download the game, I notice the icon is called 'Pokemon Go'. Curious, I ask, "Pokemon Go? What is that?"

Golly replies, "Pokemon Go is a game where you can interact with Pokémon in the real world. Using augmented reality, the game lets you see Pokémon through your phone's camera as if they were actually there. You can catch them, train them, and even battle with them against other players."

Alice adds, "It also encourages you to explore your surroundings. Different Pokémon appear depending on where you are, so you have to walk around to find new and rare ones. It's a great way to stay active and discover new places."

"Wow..." I am surprised at the whole concept. It's fascinating that there is still a way to interact with Pokémon in this world, even if it's through a game like this. The idea of seeing Pokémon in the real world through my phone is both strange and exciting.

"But what does it have to do with the explanation?" I ask, puzzled.

"Since you know about the Switch console, we can just show you the games," Golly says, revealing two game cases, 'Let's Go Pikachu' and 'Let's Go Eevee'. "We have new remakes of the Yellow Version, and their mechanics are similar to Pokémon Go. These games integrate the same catching mechanics and use the Switch's motion controls to simulate throwing Poké Balls. It's a nostalgic yet innovative way to experience the original games with a fresh twist."

Alice puts my phone on the table and says, "Now that it's downloading, let's talk about it. Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee have the same story plot as the Yellow Version, meaning Jessie, James, and Meowth are there. However, the story diverges when you play as new characters Chase and Elaine, and your rival is Trace instead of Gary. You, Gary, and Leaf will still show up, but as trainers already established in the world."

I nod, saying, "I see..."

"And not only that," Golly adds with enthusiasm, "Alola Forms can be obtained in the game by trading with Kantonian Pokémon. Mega Evolutions will also be accessible in the Post Game, adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement to your adventure after you complete the main storyline."

The idea of seeing familiar characters and encountering new ones, along with the addition of Alola Forms and Mega Evolutions, makes the game sound even more captivating.

"But what is more exciting is the new Pokémon: Meltan and Melmetal," Alice says with a smile. "Meltan was first introduced in Pokémon Go. It appeared mysteriously in the game, and trainers around the world were intrigued by its unique look and abilities. To catch Meltan, you had to complete special research tasks in Pokémon Go. Once you had enough Meltan, you could evolve it into its more powerful form, Melmetal, by gathering a large number of Meltan Candies."

I interrupt, "Wait, what exactly are Meltan Candies?"

Alice explains, "Meltan Candies are special items you collect in Pokémon Go by catching Meltan or sending them to the Professor. These candies are essential for evolving Meltan into Melmetal."

Golly adds, "In Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee, you can transfer Meltan from Pokémon Go to your Switch game. Once in Let's Go, Meltan can join your team, and you can evolve it into Melmetal just like in Pokémon Go. This integration between the two games adds a whole new level of depth and connection to the Pokémon world."

"I see... that sure sounds interesting. I mean, I always thought Meltan evolves after a lot of training," I nod, absorbing the new information.

"Let's get back to Pokémon Go," Alice says, shifting the conversation. "Pokémon Go uses your phone's GPS to locate you in the real world and places Pokémon around you. You have to physically move to find and catch them."

Golly continues, "The game encourages exploration. Different Pokémon appear in different environments, so you might find Water-type Pokémon near lakes or oceans and Grass-type Pokémon in parks or forests. There are also PokéStops and Gyms located at real-world landmarks where you can collect items and battle other trainers."

"That sounds like an amazing way to blend the real world with the Pokémon world," I comment, intrigued. "So, you actually have to go outside and walk around to find Pokémon?"

"Exactly," Alice replies. "It gets people moving and exploring new places. Plus, there are special events and Community Days where certain Pokémon appear more frequently, giving players a chance to catch rare ones."

"And don't forget about raids," Golly adds. "These are special battles where players team up to defeat powerful Pokémon. If you win, you get a chance to catch the Pokémon."

"Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun," I say, excited by the idea. "It's like being on a real Pokémon adventure, but in our world."

Alice smiles, "Exactly! It's a fantastic way to experience the excitement of being a Pokémon trainer while also staying active and social."

Golly chimes in, "And there's more. Pokémon Go even has its own version of Team Rocket. They're called Go Team Rocket, and they occasionally take over PokéStops. When you encounter them, you have to battle their Shadow Pokémon, which are more aggressive versions of regular Pokémon."

"Shadow Pokémon?" I ask, raising an eyebrow. "Like the ones Team Cipher used?"

"Exactly," Alice replies. "Shadow Pokémon have a dark aura and are often more powerful. You can catch them after defeating Go Team Rocket Grunts, and then you have the option to purify them, which returns them to their normal state and boosts their stats."

Golly adds, "Battling Go Team Rocket isn't just about the challenge. It's also a way to collect unique Pokémon and earn rewards. Plus, there are special research tasks related to Go Team Rocket that can lead to encounters with even rarer Shadow Pokémon and battles with Team Rocket leaders like Arlo, Cliff, and Sierra. And at the top of it all is Giovanni."

"Giovanni again? Come on!" I exclaim, feeling a surge of anger. "I thought I was done with him after... well, everything that happened."

Alice nods sympathetically, "I know it must be tough, but in Pokémon Go, battling Giovanni is part of the challenge. He's the ultimate boss of Go Team Rocket, and defeating him can be very rewarding."

"That sounds intense," I say, trying to rein in my frustration. "So, not only do you explore and catch Pokémon, but you also have to deal with these challenging battles against Go Team Rocket. It really adds another layer to the game."

"Exactly," Golly says. "It keeps the gameplay fresh and exciting, and it's a great way to test your skills as a trainer."

I nod, feeling more and more intrigued by Pokémon Go despite my lingering resentment toward Giovanni. "I can't wait to try all of this out. It sounds like there's always something new to discover or a challenge to face."

Alice looks at my phone and says, "While you can try out Pokémon Go, I also downloaded another game for you. It's called Pokémon Masters."

"Pokémon Masters?" I ask, curious. "What is that?"

Alice explains, "Pokémon Masters is a game where you team up with famous trainers from all over the Pokémon world. You can form teams with trainers like Cynthia, Red, and even characters from different regions. Together, you participate in three-on-three battles against other teams."

Golly adds, "Each trainer comes with their signature Pokémon, known as a Sync Pair. You can strengthen these pairs, unlock new abilities, and strategize to take on various challenges. The game is set on the island of Pasio, where the Pokémon Masters League takes place."

I nod, intrigued. "So, it's like assembling a dream team of trainers and their Pokémon to compete in epic battles?"

"Exactly," Alice says with a smile. "And the best part is that you get to see all your favorite trainers interact with each other in unique storylines. It's a great way to experience the Pokémon world from a different perspective."

Golly nods and adds, "One of the key characters in Pokémon Masters is Lear. He's the prince of an unknown country and the founder of Pasio and the Pokémon Masters League. Lear is an arrogant trainer who believes in using Pokémon as tools for victory, initially dismissing the bond between trainer and Pokémon."

"Prince of Pasio?" I repeat, intrigued. "He sounds like an interesting character. What's his role in the game?"

Alice explains, "Lear's main goal is to become the strongest trainer and prove himself. Throughout the game, you'll see his character develop as he faces various challenges and learns about the importance of bonds and teamwork. His Sync Pair is with Hoopa, and he uses this powerful Pokémon to further his ambitions."

Golly continues, "Lear's interactions with other trainers, especially those who value their Pokémon bonds, create a dynamic and engaging storyline. You'll get to see him evolve from a prideful prince into a more understanding and connected trainer."

I nod, absorbing the information. "It sounds like Pokémon Masters offers a rich narrative experience with a lot of character development. I'm looking forward to meeting Lear and seeing how the story unfolds."

"It is not just him, other characters are also interesting as well," Alice smiles. "There are regular events in the game that introduce new storylines, Sync Pairs, and challenges. These events often feature trainers from different regions, offering unique interactions and battles."

Golly adds, "For example, there are seasonal events where you can team up with holiday-themed trainers or participate in limited-time story events that delve into the backgrounds of different characters. These events not only provide new content but also reward you with exclusive items and Sync Pairs."

"So, there's always something new to look forward to?" I ask, feeling more intrigued.

"Exactly," Alice replies. "The events keep the game fresh and engaging. You'll constantly find new stories and challenges that make you want to come back and see what's next."

Golly continues, "Plus, the game frequently updates with new Sync Pairs and features, so the content is always expanding. It really keeps the experience exciting and dynamic."

lice adds, "And then there's the Villain Arc. This series of events focuses on the major villains from various Pokémon games. You get to face off against the likes of Team Rocket, Team Magma, Team Aqua, and other notorious groups. These arcs dive deep into the motivations and stories of these villains, providing some of the most challenging and engaging battles in the game."

I nod, feeling a mix of eagerness and unease. "I've encountered these teams before in my world. Facing them again, even in a game, brings back a lot of memories. What makes the Villain Arc different?"

Alice responds, "The Villain Arc allows you to explore these characters more deeply than before. You'll see their schemes unfold on Pasio and interact with them in ways that weren't possible in the main games. It's an opportunity to understand their motivations and see if they can change."

Golly adds, "These events are some of the toughest in the game, requiring strategic planning and strong Sync Pairs. You'll face not only the grunts but also their leaders in high-stakes battles. It's a true test of your skills as a trainer."

I take a deep breath, feeling the weight of past encounters. "It sounds intense but also rewarding. Confronting these villains again, even in this new context, might be a way to gain closure."

Alice smiles, "Exactly. It's not just about the battles; it's about the journey and the growth that comes with it. The Villain Arc provides a rich, narrative-driven experience that complements the core gameplay."

Golly nods, "And with the continuous updates, there's always something new to look forward to. It keeps the game fresh and the stakes high."

I nod, really excited to play those games, but I know that the explanation for the games isn't done yet.

Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, you can see that I decide to get the mobile games and Let's Go in this. The next one will be Generation 8.
