Day 1: Finding a place to stay

It was a dark morning. The storm clouds were moving in, meaning it was going to rain soon. I needed to find some place to stay, at least till the storm ends.....

Walking on the soft understory was not nice. Bugs were crawling on the ground, dead things here and there. I was barefooted, so you can probably imagine mud going in between your toes.

I was walking alone, looking occasionally at the clouds to see if they were ready to release all that water on to me. By the time I had thought I walked 20 miles, it was poring. I was soaked, still walking around just to see if anyone else lived in these forests. I was lucky enough to find a cave that was empty. It was old, but it was shelter. I hurried in the cave and looked around. Apparently someone else lived in this cave. There was a bed made of leaves, a bamboo desk, and some other things. "I guess I can live here for now....." I said to myself and started cleaning the place.

20 minutes, I believe, I was done with it. Everything was in tip top condition. Now it needed some decorations. Lucky, the rain stopped, but I wasn't going to swat bugs away from me every ten seconds. "It's about time...." I said to myself, "I need to learn how to fly." I looked at my two tails. I was small, but at least I can try.

It was an hour later and I still didn't get a millimeter off the ground yet. I just gave up and headed outside in the humid air. The sun was shining, the sky was blue. The ground, despite it just raining, was totally dry. This weird forest..............

I walked around the woods looking for some flowers and berries. I was starving. Eventually, I came across a berry bush. I looked around it first, to make sure no one else was there. I picked a ripe one and ate it before my eyes. I didn't know what happened next, but the whole berry bush was empty! "I guess I was more hungry than I thought." I said. And when I turned around, I saw the most beautiful thing ever! It was a glowing lavender flower patch! I stared at it for who knows how long. Then I felt something lifting me off the ground. I looked behind me and was shocked. I was flying! I was so happy I flew around a tree 367 times! Yes, I counted all of those times I did. Then I looked at the flower patch again. My sky blue eyes were sparkling. It was the most prettiest thing in the whole world! I picked one flower by the roots and took it back to the cave and planted it in the ground.

"There's still a half day I can do things in. I need a check list." I grabbed a stick near by and started to make a list of the things I would need. "Decorations, check! Some place to stay, check! Food, unchecked. I need some baskets...." It was a good thing I was a little smart. I got some stray bamboo and weaved them into a basket. I made at least 5 more, then I carried them outside so I can pick more berries.

"Ugh, where can an innocent fox find some berries!?" I was getting frustrated and ready to give up untill I found a jackpot. A bunch of berry bushes were right there!! I helped myself to some and picked the rest. I came back a very satisfied fox.

It was now later in the evening, the stars were twinkling brightly. The moon shining. Made me think about something..... "What if, there was someone else out there, all alone, like me....." I stared at the moon. Eventually I was daydreaming, er, night dreaming about me and that someone.............Oh, how I wished I wasn't all alone...........I must have fallen asleep, cause when I woke up a couple minutes later, I was on the ground. "Silly me." I walked to the leafy bed and instantly fell asleep, thinking about that someone..........
