Despite waking up early this morning and working basically all day, none of us had made the trip back to our hotel rooms yet, choosing to explore our resort instead, all wanting to hang out a little bit longer. "I can't get over Jack's face in this photo," Lilly laughs, holding her phone out to us.

It's a photo of all of us on Expedition Everest, screaming as we go down the final drop. Jamie and I are in the third row. My eyes are squeezed shut, laughter escaping past my lips as if he's just told me the funniest joke in the world. He's looking over at me, laughing too. He'd found it quite amusing that I laughed on rollercoasters rather than screaming. Trinity and Bailey are in front of us, large open-mouthed smiles on their faces as they raise their interlocked hands in the air, and lastly, Jack and Lilly are in the front. Somehow, she still looks gorgeous, her hair windswept, smiling like she knew the camera was there... but Jack, on the other hand, is gripping onto her arm like a child, pure terror in his eyes, screaming like he's seen a ghost.

"I was just doing that to be funny," he tugs at his hair bashfully.

Jamie claps his arm on the younger boy's shoulder, "sure you were." He teases, shaking his head. We all turn a corner and enter another room. It's completely empty, with lush-looking couches and coffee tables, all surrounding a grand piano.

Without a word, Jamie takes a seat behind the piano, flexing his fingers over the keys. We all trail in after him as he begins playing a random melody, fingers flying across the keys at a rapid pace, which I can't take my gaze off of, fascinated. Lilly moves to lean against the instrument, watching him as Bailey grabs my hand, twirling me around.

We waltz around the empty room for the rest of the song, Jack and Trinity beside us, my sister's laughter floating through the room. Bailey and I probably look ridiculous, goofily dancing along to Jamie's piano playing, her humming along completely off-tune. When he stops playing, Lilly claps. "I had no idea you played piano," she gasps, sliding down beside him, "that was amazing."

Breathless from twirling around and laughing, I pause, Bailey and I leaning against one another as Jamie looks down at the keys, bashful. His cheeks grow a warm shade of pink, and I can't help but wonder what it'd been like to touch them with my hands, which are almost always freezing cold. "It's nothing. I was just fooling around."

That's the thing about Jamie. He's good at just about everything, yet whenever you try to compliment him, he completely brushes it off like it's no big deal...

"Fooling around?" Lilly questions, scoffing, "that was not fooling around," she randomly presses a few keys to get her point across, her melody off-key, "that is fooling around."

"Play us something else," Trinity pleads, breaking into the conversation between them. She worked most of her childhood, and sometimes it feels like she hardly had one. She was far too busy filming and training to have time to do things like this. All of them were.

"No, no," Jamie holds his hands up, pushing away from the piano as he stands, shaking his head. We're paying too much attention to him now. His cheeks are completely flushed, his gaze downcast, almost embarrassed. I wasn't sure whether to find his hatred for attention adorable or irritating, wishing he'd continue playing for us.

"Come on," I pout at him, stepping forward. Jamie finally glances up at me, "it's just us."

Before Jamie can respond, Trinity chimes in again, "Eden can play with you," she volunteers me excitedly. Breaking my gaze away from Jamie, I look back at my younger sister. I can't remember the last time I played piano in front of other people... Even when we left my birth father, I was shy about playing in front of others. Preferring to play in the privacy of my bedroom, headphones plugged into my keyboard.

But every so often, Trin would sneak into my room, begging me to play music for her. It became one of our favourite past times; she'd sit at the end of my bed, requesting songs for me to play. She was the only person who ever heard me play, "You play?" Jamie questions, brow quirked curiously.

    "A little," I shrug, "it's been a long time. I don't think I-"

"Play that Taylor Swift song we love," Trinity cuts me off, not allowing me to say no. She didn't need to specify which one. We'd played through almost all of Taylor's discography, and while we loved every single one, there was one song in particular that I loved to play more than the others. I stopped needing to look at the chords to play it, memorizing it.

I go to say no again, but Jamie tilts his head at me almost competitively. I'll do it if you do, his gaze informs me, storm cloud gray rimmed with circles of blue, "fine." I give in. When he looks at me like this, it's hard to say no.

He smiles, dimpled flashing as he nods toward the piano bench, where Lilly is still sitting, watching the two of us with a curious expression. I can't quite read it. She seems confused, though, about what, I can't tell. "After you," Jamie gestures for me to sit.

I slide onto the bench as Lilly gets up, gaze somewhat downcast as she joins the others, who are circling around the two of us now, all eager to watch us play. "It's been a while since I've played." I remind them all, fingers hovering over the keys.

I wait for Jamie to sit, but he doesn't, leaning against the piano beside the others while Trinity slides down beside me, an encouraging smile on her face. Sometimes, it feels like she's the older sister. Trinity's always been much braver than I and wise beyond her years. "Quit making excuses, Eden," Jamie teases, his blue eyes glimmering, happy the attention is off him and on me. He's smiling, though, and when our eyes connect, he mouths something for only me to see. "You've got this."

I take in a breath, tearing my gaze away from Jamie's as I press down on the keys, slowly playing the opening chords to "Enchanted" by Taylor Swift, beginning to feel a little less nervous as the cast disperses around the room again, Bailey, Lilly and Jack moving to sway to the music on the other side of the room, Trinity singing beside me.

I finally look up at Jamie again, a little bit into the song, my eyes finding his, connecting like magnets. He smiles at me warmly, and it feels like I'm looking at him for the first time, falling harder. When he looks at me like this, I can't help but wonder if maybe, my feelings for him aren't all that crazy... Could we be this happy together? Could I be enough for him? Is there ever a chance he'd feel the same way about me as I feel about him?

These questions cloud my mind as Trinity sings, the lyrics of Taylor Swift making my heart race, filled with longing.

"Please don't be in love with someone else

Please don't have somebody waiting on you-"

When the song ends, it feels like the trance Jamie has on me is broken. Trinity squealing with excitement as she places her head on my shoulder, moving her hand to squeeze mine. Lilly, Jack, and Bailey cheer, the latter of the three running over behind me, squeezing me with excitement. "Eden, that was amazing."

"I need you to play every Taylor Swift song for me," Lilly nods in agreement, moving to stand beside Jamie across from me. Jack stands on her other side.

I wait for the British boy to say something, but his eyes remain wide, thoughts circling through his mind, though I can't tell what. If we were alone, I know he'd say something. He's always been more comfortable when it's just us, never shy or awkward. "Can you play one more?" Trin asks, standing up. She's always been the type that can't sit still for long, so this doesn't surprise me. "Please?"

I sigh, unable to say no to my sister, "okay. Any requests?"

    "Love story?"

I'm shocked when Jamie speaks, voice clear, tearing my gaze away from Trinity and over to him. His expression is neutral, though I can see amusement in his eyes, which are sparkling, blue clouding over the gray, lighting up the dimly lit room. "S-sure," I nod, stuttering slightly.

This time, everyone begins singing along. Even Jamie mouths along to the words, a smile on his face as he watches me. I couldn't tell you how long we stayed here, Jamie and I taking turns at the piano, switching between classical and pop covers, his arm brushing against mine when he finally sat beside me, never moving away, not caring about how close he sat.

I'd do anything to freeze this perfect moment, surrounded by my favourite people, playing music beside the perfect guy who always seems so far out of reach, unattainable in every single way.
