The weather here is so cold in the mornings, that it's so hard to get out of bed.

Are you out of your mind? We'll end up spending half our income on flight tickets.

How is your project going? Are you guys on schedule? I can't wait to have you back home.

Aditi :

Project is slightly stalling. But I guess we should be there in two more months.

I need to get back to work. I hate VED! He needs to get himself a wife.

To the extent that I want to smack his face. Can't a man take a break, smile and text his wife?

Aditi :

And, she becomes my boss.

Aditi :

You have two bosses interested in you then.

Karan :

Anyday, I prefer the one who finds me irresistible.

Aditi :

Okay, I am your wife, so you should prefer me. Don't you dare let Ved change your feelings for me. 

Karan :

I was talking about you, idiot. You most definitely find me very irresistible.

Good news, Ved is being promoted. Shubh is taking over.

Guess, he realized my wife issued a warning. ;p

 I can't be happier. Talk to you later tonight.

Aditi :

Aditi sighed looking up from her phone screen. She was a little unsettled that Karan was happy about it. Didn't he want that promotion that Shubh got? Shubh who worked as his colleague would now be his manager. Didn't it bother him?

It was past eleven and Aditi was lying on the bed waiting for Karan's call. She was tired after a long day but she didn't want anything more than hearing his voice. She had dropped him a few messages. He had replied saying he was at Rahul's place and would call when he got back home.

Aditi was pissed. She didn't like Rahul. He was a laid back guy who survived on his father's wealth. Karan would have probably turned to be a version two of Rahul if his father hadn't pushed him out of home and asked him to survive on his own, in a very good way. Karan was man enough to take up his responsibility. But his laid back attitude in life bothered Aditi, at times.

He always found an easy way out. He wasn't that ambitious, just happy go lucky. No doubt she loved that about him. But his lack of discipline, ambition and at times, even his reckless behavior didn't go down well with Aditi. She looked down at her phone as it made a small beep. A smile forming on her lips, instantly.

Karan :

Staying over at Rahul's place tonight. Will talk to you tomorrow.

Good night, if you haven't already slept.

Aditi :

Was just about to switch off my mobile data. 

Good night! 

Aditi didn't wait for any reply and switched off her mobile data. She was pissed. She shouldn't be so invested in him, and she should definitely not hang onto his words if she wanted to be happy in the marriage. With a heavy heart she switched off the light and laid back on the bed thinking about him.
