The capital square was finally done with all the preparation. All sorts of shops were set up; from clothes to food, people slowly and slowly got out of their houses as the time for the occasion drew near. The street crowded with people of all age patiently waited for the arrival of the royal family to get a glance of the Prince. "Mother, what is the name of the Prince?" asked a small boy. His mother smiled at him, "we shall know the name when the King announces." On the other side, another little older girl whined, "Father, when will they come? Why can't they come quickly? I want to play the games before the day ends." The father chuckled at his daughter's impatience. "They will be here soon."

The royal family now on their respective royal palanquin; the King in the open main, prince and the Queen in an enclosed one and the Queen mother in another. The travel was short but was long for the queen worried about her dear. People bowed their royals who they considered them to God. The queen was pulled out of her deep thought when the palanquin stopped moving and placed down. She gently placed her baby on the seat to get down, once she stepped out, her maid carefully took the prince out the palanquin and handed him to his mother. Queen cradled her baby in her arms while her maids straightened her dress. "Mom, look at the prince!" A child pulled her mother's dress as her mother bowed to the queen. The queen passed a sweet smile to the child to which the little girl became shy and bowed to her.

The queen walked closer to the king and queen mother who stood close to the platform in the  public square. They walked up the platform and sat on the royal seats prepared just for them. The royal announcer presented his respects to the royal before he began his speech, "As we all have gathered here for the naming ceremony of our prince and celebrate his birthday, I invite our Queen mother to began the ceremony." And stood aside.

The queen mother stood in the middle of the platform, "The people of my Silla, I hope you all have us in your prayers and I am thankful as it is the reason a prince was blessed for you. Today, we have gathered here to celebrate the birth of the new prince and the future king of the Silla. Let us begin the day with the naming of our prince." She smiled. As the crowd cheered she walked back to the queen and took the prince in her arms. The little prince didn't appreciate the separation and was fidgety in his grandmother's arms.

She smiled at the silent crowd who were eager to hear the name of their prince. Raising him in the air, "This tiger cub will be named Prince Jimin. The next heir of Park dynasty." The crowd cheered louder this time. The sudden and loud cheer startled the poor baby who began to cry in his grandmother's arms. The king; joyous at this event, took a glance of his queen; though appeared present at the moment but had her mind elsewhere. He realized that his darling was disturbed with argument the two had earlier in her mind. He placed his hand over her hand to gain her attention, she turned to look at him; who expressed a calm smile and she could only return a smile to show him that she was fine.

Slowly the clouds began to change their color and became dark. Thunder rumbled as wind breezed heavily. Everyone stood there were confused, questioning how the bright morning turn dark. The queen felt a tug in heart, and soon heard "It's a bad omen." as the royal priest muttered loud enough which caught the King's attention too. Queen mother hugged the prince close to herself; a defense mechanism. The commander in chief immediately took action by ordering his guards to cover the royal family from the coming potential threat.

Just when the winds dropped, a lighting hit the palanquin which the queen and the prince had travelled. The crowd got scared and began running pushing each other fanatically to get to a safety. The guards got on the platform, moving closer to the royal family for their protection. A gust of smoke rose to the sky from the hit palanquin and in came a woman from behind that palanquin. The crowd stopped to look at the mysterious lady. Her robe covering her from head to floor, sweeping the dust along as she took each strong yet collective steps. Her black hoodie covered her face. She halted her tracks midway to the platform. The people moved to each side paving a path to this hideous lady.

She removed her hoodie, irrupting a villainous laugh from her beautiful maroon lips. Everyone there were deeply shocked at the revelation. The king was the furious one of all. As predicted she had come to this occasion while the queen and queen mother, shell shocked. "Oh my poor king Sungjin." She called out naively. "Why are you celebrating my nephew's birthday without inviting his aunt?" She questioned as she resumed her steps. "Guards! Arrest her!" The king commanded and the lowest ranked soldiers ran to her with their swords. The lady rolled her eyes at the failed attempt to measure her strength, all she did was click her fingers and the soldiers were attacked one after the other by the few strong commoners, who emerged from the crowd. The trained soldiers were simply pushed on the floor by these mere commoners quickly, unable to stand again. This stunned not only the royals but also the crowd.

She maintained her distance from the platform yet close enough to walk up, she squealed, "Oh my! My nephew is a pretty handsome boy." smiling. "At last I am able to see the whole family." She let out a heavy sigh stopping again. "Well then, let's see how our king gives justice, shall we?" asked in her loud and clear words to the crowd while she took a proper glance of the crowd that surrounded and maintained a distance from her at either sides. "You sent your guards to arrest me. To Capture Park Kira!" she snarled. "Oh the great king, you have got the wrong person." She mocked.

"Your mother or should I say the Queen mother." She scoffed as her gaze moved to the queen mother. "Approached me for help. Begging for an heir for the Park dynasty." She said placing her hand on her waist. The king couldn't believe his ears. His own mother had given in for something trivial. Anger and disappointment enraged in him. Queen mother didn't dare to look at her son while the queen was worried for her child who was in her in-law's care. "She promised me a bundle of gold coins and to never inform you about my existence. But look here she kept one while broke the other." She spoke out, walking up the platform. "Don't take anther step, else I will slice off your legs!" Came a warning from the commander as she neared.

She stopped at the edge, giving a him a cheap disgusted look. "Now queen mother, do I look like a fool, that would help the people who put her mother and herself in path of death. Not after what you did to me and my parents." Queen mother glared at Kira. The first rank guards raised their swords to attack, suddenly the guards shrieked in pain, swords dropped, their relentless eyes looking at the palm skin burning, the commander too suffering too. She walked closer to the Queen mother who stepped with each step taken by Kira, the king quickly raised his sword to her neck, threatening her to not inch closer. She smirked at him. Queen mother turned to keep the prince from her. "Don't come any closer Kira. This is the last warning." His eyes expressed pure rage to her.

"My dear brother," She caressed his face which the king smacked away quickly, pushing the sword deep to her skin yet not wounding. "Look at you, trying to protect your family while your mother destroyed mine." She slightly tilted her head, their eye contact unbreakable. Queen mother fumed at Kira's statement. "How could you forget your mother's attempt to kill my lord?"

Kira glared at the queen mother as she moved back from the king to face her. "You forced her to do it! You forced uncle to not acknowledge her existence! After your marriage to him, she wasn't given any attention. It was my father who cared for her. It was my father who was the actual heir to the throne. It is because he blindly loved and trusted his brother, he gave up that position. My mother only realized this truth and began to support him eventually it led to a relationship that budded between them. She also wanted the king to know what it felt to get cheated on by someone you loved. She respected the king but you coaxed your lord to care least about my mother. She couldn't take anymore and realized that if she had to bring you down it would be by your death. But your ministers changed the course to your lord. If it were to go that way my father would have become the King. But it was my father's stupid and blind devotion to the king and your façade to act as though you saved your lord, my father pushed himself to the death."

The truth revelation devastated to the king's core. This was not how his mother had told him abut his uncle's death and the banishment of his family. Queen mother stood their head strong showing no remorse for what was done. The queen approached her from behind and took the baby from her arms, hugging him dear to her chest stepping a little back to keep the baby away from Kira's reach.

Kira looked at the queen who fearfully hugged her baby. "A fair share of her deeds is required to be paid. Well, this son of yours shall be the one to pay. Since he is very special to all of you." She smiled at the prince who was smiling at her. Hearing the words from her, everyone was shocked. The King didn't give a thought and dropped on his knees behind her. "Don't! I am ready to pay it. Let my son be spared. What can I do for you?" He asked keeping his gaze fixed on his hands. "You can't do anything my sweet brother." She turned around to find him kneeled. "Your mother should have thought about the consequences. But she didn't." She caressed the King's hair. "This is just his birthday present."

Her sharp gaze moved to the silent crowd, smiling "I, Park Kira, curse Prince Jimin that he shall remain ill for his entire life unable to ever step out of his royal palace." She swore. "Noooooo." The Queen shouted as she to dropped on her knees with her startled and crying baby. "Yes, Misuk. Now that you have showed up, I would love to tell a bitter truth to the king." Her laugh filled with devilment.

"My brother, while you were busy in an futile attempt to catch me, you never came to discover the your favourite queen's truth. How could you never come know that the person whom you loved and adored so much was just like one of the witches." She pitied and down casted the as the king who looked up to see her. The Queen sat there weeping when her baby's cries stop and his body become feverish. "Oh, well, I shall leave this kingdom just like you wanted. Now that I have taken my revenge." She patted his shoulder before walking down the platform. The king was hit with many the truth of his two most important people in his life. It was difficult for him to make a sound judgement from things that went through his mind.

Kira turned one last time to the king, "Now you should banish your Queen from this kingdom, oh the just king Sungjin." Her gaze moved to the silent and heavy breathing baby, "Bye my dear nephew. Long live prince Jimin." She chuckled wickedly and vanished and so did the darkness in the sky.

The Queen and Queen mother looked at their prince, he was breathing, his eyes closed, skin burning hot, slowly losing his senses. The heart broken king rose from his position and walked closer to his queen and son. The people stood there empathizing with their ruler, some weeping, some feeling pity while some muttering that the Queen and Queen mother be punished for their crimes.

Tears rolled down his eyes as the king felt as a failure unable to save his little sweet heart for his crimes. He wiped his tears before turning to look at his citizen and spoke with anguish. "I, Park Sungjin, King of Silla, strip of all the titles and banish Byeon Misuk from this Kingdom for practicing sorcery." Perceiving the king's words, the queen shook her head as she stood up with the sick prince, "Your Majesty please do not do that. Our son needs me now. He is not old enough to even live without his mother. Please, your majesty, spare me for our son" She begged, tears rolling down.

But that didn't stop the King to even spare a glance at her and continued, "The Queen mother shall be imprisoned for her involvement in the murder of late commander, Park Mujin." He said. The backup guards from the palace reached late to the square, after the late reliance of the message. They were worried to see such a heart breaking scene on a lovely day. is majesty saw the guards, motioning them to com closer and he tried to walk past the queen but couldn't because with all her force caught on to his arm, begging for mercy. His grieving eyes looked at her desperate and broken eyes,  "All you had to do was tell me and I could have done something. But you didn't and that is deceiving." His words hurt her but she wanted him to give her a chance to explain. He broke her strong hold off and tried to take the baby.

The queen quickly realizing his motive to take the baby, she hugged the baby tightly, "Your Majesty, I-I can't live without you and m-my son. Our son needs me the most now. Please forgive me for not revealing my past. I did not use bl-black magic after our marriage or use it wrongly." She cried out loud. "Misuk, this is law of land. I am the ruler but the law also is to be followed by the king. If the king doesn't lead a model life, so will be his citizens. The prince is to stay with me. Hand him." He said before forcefully, as the unconscious little prince was tore away from his mother's arms. The poor prince could never know his mother's warmth thereon. "Guards!" He shouted. "Take her to the outskirts of the Kingdom." He ordered. The guards came and pulled her away from the king and prince. "No, please your majesty." She cried.

The king handed the little prince the queen's maid and walked away not caring to spare a glance to his own mother. Queen Misuk squirmed in their grips to let her free. She looked at the guards who were dragging her on her feet to the other direction. "Please, please let me go. My son needs me." She begged them. "Sorry your Highness." They said with hopelessness evident in their voice. She saw the royal palanquin going the other direction. The guards didn't completely follow the king's command and dropped the queen in a nearby forest so that she could join some villages on the other side.

Meanwhile at the palace.

As soon as the king reached the palace, he didn't spare a moment to command his general to imprison the Queen mother. She didn't put up any struggle and let the guards arrest her. She knew what he did was wrong in the eyes of others but it was something she did to make her son the next king.  She never wanted to deceive her son, but she did such a thing that made him ashamed to call her the Queen mother. For the thing she did never befitted the actions of a queen mother.

The minister came rushing to see their king, what they thought would go smoothly without any interruption from any enemy and didn't require to make an appearance with the king, somehow turned the other way and destroy the peace of their god. His majesty walked into his chamber not able to take in the situation. He ordered the guards not to let anyone in. The throne felt like sitting on a blood pooled seat, the crown is blood stained too. The proud that he once felt to have this throne and kingdom now disgusted him. The minute he sat on the bed tears erupted out of his eyes. He just couldn't control them. The scenes of the public square events kept haunting him. "Why? Why Misuk? I loved you so much and is this how you repay me. You could have told me what you were. Instead you kept it in silence." He bawled. "Why!" He roared in pain. "Why to me?"

The maids who reached the palace with the prince were worried sick for his condition only scared them. They had never see the prince fall sick like this. They brought him to the royal physicians, who did everything they could to make the prince fever go down. But all their tries were of no avail. The head physician Seon tried medicines with heavier dosages which were normally dangerous for babies. Luckily the prince's fever came down, but it didn't allow the prince' complete recovery. Thus started the days of the prince drenched in illness and the days of the physicians to start their experiment for his recovery.
