Klaus' POV

I was talking to a blonde woman about Mystic Falls' vampire issue in general, when I really though was waiting for Caroline to show up. I switched my gaze for a moment when I was shocked and surprised, Serena Dubois 'my former lover' I thought in surprise, I smirked and walked towards her.

I looked at her up and down and was amazed, she still has the same beauty and perfection as I last saw her, then I realized she was wearing the dress I got for her  long ago, I smiled, I was happy knowing that she was wearing it.

As I was walking faster towards her, bloody hell, how hot she looks in that gown I thought with satisfaction, what made me smile more was how she lowered her head down biting her lip even though I knew she was looking at me.

"Hello there love" I said with a smirk, "I can see you are still as beautiful as you always were" I added checking her out.

Serena looked up at me amazed, "Thank you, you always did have a way with words" she replied, I saw that despite her calm demeanour she was more nervous which made him smile, "I will take that as a compliment, anyways why don't we take a nice long stroll outside? I would love to know what you have been up to these past centuries." I stated amusingly.

The beautiful fawn-haired hybrid stared at me, "Perhaps we should stay inside, now if you'll excuse-me" she replied shortly and then tried to walk away, but I took her arm and made her turn around not wanting to leave her, and when she turned around I gave her the look she never was able to resist, Serena bit her lip and sighed, "Fine, but only for a bit" she said reluctantly, as they turned towards the entrance I couldn't help but feel slightly hurt that she didn't seem to particularly want to be alone with me but I brushed it off and followed her.

When we slowed down, we started walking side by side and I was trying to resist the urge to hold her soft and graceful hand and I was trying to make her look at me but she was deliberately not, "So" I started breaking the silence, "how long have you been in Mystic Falls?" I asked, "two years" she replied curtly and then fell silent, so I made her turn around and face me, I had a serious expression on my face, She huffed in annoyance "Honestly Klaus what do you want me to say? I just moved on with my life over the past centuries" Serena blurted out.

Again that hurt feeling rushed into me, and then I pushed her to the side of the wall, "Moved on from life? or moved on from me?" I asked seriously, I closed in on her breathing in her scent, touching her shoulders which felt beautifully amazing, She looked at me with a stunned expression "I-I" Serena started to mumble but she fell silent which made me smile, I wanted to kiss her so badly now I thought barely resisting the urge, suddenly she swivelled her head sideways and returned my gaze, "clearly you have" she said a little coldly, and then I realized that Caroline was walking toward the entrance but when I returned my focus she was already gone.

I raced toward Caroline, I couldn't deny how wonderfully amazing she looked in that gown, "Caroline, have you seen Serena?" I asked urgently, Caroline looked at me "Yeah she walked past me and totally brushed me off, She looked upset" Caroline smoothly replied, I vamp speeded past her regretting slightly that I brushed her off like that and ran towards Serena.
