Kendall's POV
I looked into the distance, straining my neck to get just a single glance. "KK, what is it? I'm scared!" Kenzie said to me. "Shhhhh!" I snapped at her. I saw Kenzie go and hide behind Maddie.
          As the object got closer, I was able to decide what it was. It was big and black, and had fangs and small, black eyes. Staring straight at me.
         There was only one thing in the world that that could be. I opened my mouth to scream out what it was, but Brooke beat my to it. "It's a bear!" She yelled. "Run!" I screamed. We all jumped off the rocks, Maddie stopping to make sure Mackenzie made it down safely. "Maddie, c'mon!" Chloe yelled. Maddie was running with Kenzie, holding her hand. "I'm coming!" She replied. I glanced behind me and saw that the bear was gaining. And it was gaining fast.
           Bears are faster than humans. That guy will outrun all of us easily. Even though we're dancers with strong dancer muscles, the bear is still faster. He won't care if he kills any of us. He's just looking for food. And right now, it seems like we're his next meal.
