I sigh, laying back down onto the cold bed. I missed Red. I missed being free. Damn it, I missed the foster homes! I wanted to be anywhere but here. This crappy "hospital" had no right to keep me here. I heard a bark, and a crash. Shards of glass fell to the floor, along with a mottled, furry body. "Red!" I exclaimed. Faintly, I heard a voice from the next room over. "What the heck?" She said. Still angry at being locked up, I looked through the window. "Who do you think you are?! Talking to someone like me with that attitude?" I shout as Red helps free me from the restraints as the girl responded, "All I did was speak in a manner of shock. No harmful words were meant." I stroked Reds furry ears to calm him, and looked back at the patient next to me. "...Fine... You seem... Oddly familiar though..." I said, taking many pauses to contemplate what to say. She returned to her book, and doctors rushed in. Red turned quickly and growled. All the men and women started screaming, but I was fed up. Speaking to Red in a quiet voice, I placated him for the moment. Johnny Ghost ran in with another man, and stared at the fox next to me. "Please don't take him away from me..." I pleaded. Johnny turned to the doctors and told them to let me keep the fox and leave me unrestrained. It took some arguing, but eventually they agreed.
