The next day, Cal was watching Rhodey on the news. His cover story involving the raptors and the suits was exactly what Cal had said even though he had said that is wasn't that simple. "An unfortunate training exercise and F-22 raptor occurred yesterday. I am pleased to report that the pilot was not injured. As for the unexpected turn of events on the ground in Gulmira, it is still unclear, who or what intervened, but I can assure you that the united states government was not involved."

Tony was standing on the machine that was trying to get the suit off of him. Due to the dents caused by the bullets, the suit was harder to get off than expected, although Cal had gotten her's off in seconds.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow!" Tony whined. Cal could hear Pepper's heels descend the stairs.

"It is a tight fit, sir. Sir, the more you struggle, the more this going to hurt." JARVIS warned him.

"Be gentle. This is my first time. I designed this to come off, so..ow...hey! I really should be able to..."

"Please, try not to move, sir."

"What's going on here?" Pepper asked in slight shock.

"Let's face it. This is not the worst thing you've caught me doing." Cal shuddered, she had also accidentally walked in on him and a girl. That was when she decided to have her own apartment, although she didn't live there as often as she did at the mansion.

"Are those bullet holes?" Pepper asked, still in shock.

"My suit wasn't as bad. It just means that Tony is an awful flyer." Cal commented, her eyes not leaving the TV screen because she had put Doctor Who on. There was silence, so Cal turned to face the two others in the room. Tony was glaring at her and Pepper was looking at her in surprise.

"Cal, you have one too?" She only nodded. "I thought you were more responsible." Pepper muttered before sighing. Cal looked down, ashamed at herself for making Pepper disappointed.

A while later, Cal was in her room on her computer. She had planted a camera, small enough that it was unseen by the naked human eye, on Obadiah's suit. She hadn't trusted him for a while. Everything seemed fake with him. Despite being barely conscious, Cal had somewhat managed to remember what men were saying to the camera when Tony and she had just been captured. She was certain that they had said Stane, although this could mean anything, her paranoid mind wouldn't let it go. Nothing interesting had happened with the camera so far, except for one particular evening. Upon seeing something interesting, Cal spoke to JARVIS.

"JARVIS, please disconnect yourself from this room. I don't want anyone knowing anything."

"Ma'am, I don't think that would be--" Cal cut off his objection.

"JARVIS, please."

"Yes, Miss Stark." Once Cal had made sure no one would find out about the footage, she looked at what was happening. She soon figured out that Obadiah was with the ten rings and was speaking to the man who had killed Yinsen.

Footage

"Welcome." He said as Obadiah looked around his face to the burn marks. "Compliments of Tony Stark."

"If you killed them both when you were supposed to, you'd still have a face."

"You paid us trinkets to kill a prince and princess."

"Show me the weapon." Obadiah demanded.

"Come, leave your guards outside." He did so.

They both went inside the tent, revealing the Iron armour that Tony had made to escape.

"His escape bore unexpected fruit."

Obadiah crossed his arms as he admired the armour. "So this is how they did it."

"This is only a first, crude effort. Stark has perfected his design. He has made a masterpiece of death and even gave one to the girl. A man with a dozen of these can rule all of Asia. And you dream of Stark's throne. We have a common enemy."

Obadiah rubbed his finger on the edge of where the arc reactor would have been. "If we are still in business, I will give you these designs as a gift. And in turn, I hope you'll repay me with a gift of Iron soldiers." He raised a glass a alcohol. Obadiah walked to him and placed his hand on his shoulder, pulling out a device that buzzes. The buzzing caused the veins to glow in the man's face as he became paralyzed and the protective earbuds glowed in Obadiah's ears. It was a device that Tony had made a while before but it was not approved due to the effect it had on people.

"This is the only gift you shall receive." Obadiah said in the man's language. "Technology. It's always been your Achilles' heel in this part of the world. Don't worry. It'll only last for 15 minutes. That's the least of your problems." He stroked the man's head as he left.

Outside his men had the enemy's men at gunpoint. "Crate up the armour and the rest of it. All right, let's finish up here." His men opened fire and killed all threats.

End of footage

Cal leapt away from her screen. She knew she had to tell Tony. She checked the screen and the footage was from a few days before. Cal raced to the stairs.

"He's alive! That bad guy is alive!" She shouted as she ran. She sped around the corner only to skid to a halt as a few men were blocking her way to the next flight of stairs that would take her to the lab. She sighed.

"Easy way or the hard way?" She asked them. They smirked at her and advanced. She charged at them which took them by surprise. Then she swung her leg under them, successfully knocking down two men, three were left standing. She swung and ducked as they all continued to fight until she heard a whining noise and she collapsed on the floor. Obadiah stepped into her view holding the device.

"It's a shame you got yourself into this. You're a nice, smart woman, Cal. Too bad you couldn't stop digging into things that weren't your business." He smirked down at her as they carried her off. Her mind could only think of HYDRA and when they took her. Fear spiked through her but she still couldn't move, wondering what Obadiah was going to do to her.
