Ever since Nico had come into camp, he had been

 thinking of a way to tell Annabeth.

He couldn't just say, "Hey Annabeth, you know your boyfriend? The guy you love so much? Well he's dead."

Maybe he should bring Piper with him....

Annabeth POV

Annabeth was excited, when exams had begun, she and Percy had hardly spent any time together. So, they decided to have a picnic in the park to talk about their scores, and finally hang out. 

But, an hour later, he was still missing. 'Where are you Seaweed Brain?' She was about to call him, even though there was a chance a monster would appear. 

Then Jason flew in, yes Flew, he was a son of Zeus, so he could do stuff like that. She saw that Piper was with him, maybe Percy had invited them.

 Smiling she said, "Hey guys, what you two up to?" But she saw their face drain.

 Piper went up to, and said, "OK Annabeth, I need you to listen to Jason, and not say anything, until he is done. Do you understand?"

She nodded her head yes.

She held her arms, as if she thought Annabeth would do something bad. Jason cleared his throat, and Piper looked as if she was on the verge of tears.

"I'm sorry Annabeth" his voice barely a whisper, "It's Percy" She wasn't sure she heard him right. "What?" He looked as if he was about to cry too. "He and Nico were walking when every monster he's ever fought attacked. They also made it to camp, but the Minotaur....." he broke eye contact with her, "s-s-sna-snapped him in half. He looked back at her, and looking at her expression, the tears let down. Piper hugged her and she started to cry too. "No-No, that's impossible. She fell to the floor bring Piper with her, and began sobbing. This wasn't the way it was supposed to be.....

Then she started to feel anger towards........
