CHAPTER FIFTEEN

FLASHBACK

After Avu and Jaan went, Sidd felt something of unease and so he called Faisal.

*phone rings*

Faisal : Hello

Sidd : Hey, bro do you know where Avneet and Jaan went for the party.

Faisal : Yes, it's at Rosh's house.

Sidd : Rosh???

Faisal : Yes. Why?

Sidd knew Rosh through Reem. She along with Jaan used to go to her party a lot.

Sidd : I am just feeling something unease in me like something bad will happen if we don't arrive there.

Faisal : Already overprotective much? I see

Sidd : It's not like that. Just that she's Ruhi's baby sitter so it's my responsibility for her safety.

Faisal : As you say😏. But I know in mind, you mean something else.

Sidd : As you think. I don't care!

And so they crashed to the party and while roaming around they found a man grabbing a girl forcefully. They slowly followed that man, and arrived to that room.

They weren't able to open it in the first attempt and so they broke it in the second attempt.

(And we all know how Sidd felt anger and so let's skip to the part where Avu lost her conscious.)

Avu fainted on Sidd's arm. Sidd wanted to teach that bastard a lesson, and so he carefully handed Avu to Faisal while he he started punching Adi as if he was some punching bag.

Blood was evident on Adi. His nose bleeding, blood dropping from his mouth and everywhere on his body.

Faisal : Bro, I will take care of him. Take Avu to the hospital immediately. Her body is turning cold.

Sidd : What???? Oh no. Avneet please. Just a while. I am taking you to the hospital. Faisal, teach this bastard a good lesson.

Luckily, nothing happened to Avneet, but due to low pressure, she fainted and lost her conscious

*Flashback Ends*

Avu : Thank you so much, Siddharth for saving.

Sidd : You can call me Sidd.

Avu : Thank you. You can too call me Avu. And thank you so much, if it weren't for you yesterday, I would have ---

Avu didn't finish the sentence when Sidd covered her mouth with his hands.

Avu's POV:

As he came closer, covering my mouth before I could say the word rape , I was lost....... I stood frozen as his eyes checked my body from up to down, my eyes focused on him. The moment his eyes met mine, we were lost in the another.

A few moments later

Sidd : Ahem, Ahem.... I m---meant no need of thank you.

Avu : Su---Sure.

Avu ran to her room, upstairs, not wanting him to see that she was blushing hard.

Next Day:

Jaan had insisted and Avu was with her for a day. It was hard, but Jaan was able to convince Sidd.

There was a cultural night festival in the town, where you find your destined one in the darkness, and both of us were joining. The biggest event in this festival was the "Dance of Light" where you find your destined one in the dark. There was a dressing theme, and it was a must to wear the mask.😉

Avu's POV:

The streets were crowded with people all over, enjoying themselves in the festival. I knew no one in this crowd. I had no idea where Jaan had disappeared in the crowd, leaving me all alone.

Girl 1 : Dance of light is going to begin in 5 minutes to go till the biggest event of this festival.

Suddenly, all those people started to move towards a certain direction.

Avneet : Woah, everyone is excited about the Dance Of Light.

A man rushed to me and I was pushed over in accident.

Sidd : Where the hell is Faisal? I seriously can't see him in this crowd.

Avu : AHHH!!!

Sidd : Hey, u okay?

I suddenly felt a hand under my arms, as I was lifted up by someone.

Avu : Thanks.

The Dance Of Light was held in the open ground, where fairy tale lights were hung upon.

I walked to the place where there were less people dancing. The event was not officially began but the couples were enjoying their dance.

Girl 2 : I see that you have brought a dance partner to dance, but this isn't exactly how it works. For those who are dancing, please kindly step back and NOW THE DANCE OF LIGHT SHALL BEGIN!

The lights went and we had to find our destined one in this darkness. The countdown began from 10.

I had no idea where I was going in this darkness, my right hands outstretched. I was somehow excited but part of me feared what if it's the wrong one?

Suddenly, my outstretched hands met to someone, as the other hand laced through his fingers.

Sidd : I've found you.

The candle soon lighten after the countdown finished and we had to enjoy the dance with the partner we chose in the darkness.

In the dim glow of the candlelight, I could barely make out the outline of my partner's features, but he seemed to be familiar. Not to mention that his face was hidden in the mask.

Sidd : May I?

I nodded a yes.

I placed my hand in his, and we both started dancing.

Sidd : I see that you are good at dancing. Want to level up?

There was a smirk on his face, which made me blush.

Avu : Sure, let's see if you can catch up.

And there it was - another smirk.

And soon, he spun me around and swirl in sync.

Sidd : You're good.

We continued to dance. His hands were around my waist, and mine in his neck. Both our bodies, swayed in the music, not to mention our faces hidden in the shadows. As we danced and danced, I felt as if we were the only one here.

Soon, the music slowed to an end.

But before that happened, he immediately dipped me with a strong hold on my waist. Our eyes - refusing to let go of each other.

(Again, imagine them wearing mask)

He brought his other hand to my face.

Sidd : Can I take your mask off?
