Shakshi almost runs to the OT when Rajat tells her that Anamika has delivered a boy and both the mother and child are safe and healthy. The urge to see them and hold her grandchild in her arms was a totally different feeling. 

When she reaches outside the OT she finds the newborn in Vineet's arms and he is staring at the child without even blinking while the baby seems to be sleeping quietly in his palm. 

A sudden mix of emotions hit him to see a part of his own in his arm, his tiny body fits just in his palm for he's born premature. He wasn't ready but the nurse had placed the child in his arm as he's the father - who never wanted it but holding the child makes him question his own doing and acts in the past few months. Was he really right with his perspective? Is not accepting the child a right step? Will he be able to keep himself distant from his own child who seems so innocent and looks exactly like him? 

He was totally lost, Shakshi nudged him and asked to give the baby to her. Vineet gently places the child in her arm, his heart now beating in a pace. He doesn't know what is going on but it certainly hits him. His heart suddenly craves to hold the child again and peck his soft head but the notification that he had received a few moments ago had a much greater impact on him than his child - the notification of cancellation of her registration for the course. It sank his heart and his son now makes it heavy making it difficult for him to even breathe. 

He let out a deep breath and sided his way to get some fresh air, Rajat followed him to try his luck one last time. In the past few months he had tried several times to make him realize his mistake but all in vain, nothing worked though it strained their friendship but Vineet remained unaffected. 

''Vineet!!" Rajat called him at the corridor which leads to the exit. 

Vineet stops at his track and turns to face him. 

''Kahan jaa rahe ho? Apni biwi aur bache ko akela chor kahan jaa rahe ho tum?" Rajat questions him, straightly. 

''Main kissi ko chor ke nahi jaa raha Rajat, I just want some fresh air issliye bahar jaa raha hoon par tumhe chain kahan. Tumhe toh bhasanbaji ka shauk chadha hai!!" Vineet retorted, he was fed up with his friend's interference in his life. 

Rajat let out a sarcastic chuckle,''tumhari problem hi yahi hai ki apne siwa sab galat lagte hai. Ek baar ye toh socho uss bechari pe kya beet rahi hogi. Tumhe jara bhi khayal nahi uska ya apne bache ka?? Kyun Vineet?? Tumhare liye sab se upar wo course hi hai kya?? Tumhare parents, biwi, dost baki sab koi mayne nahi rakhte?? Why don't you understand what you're losing? Can't you see, tumhari biwi tumse door ho gayi, hamari salon ki dosti mei darar aa gayi par tu apni baat pe adda hua hai, kyun? Tu aise hi khush hai kya??" Rajat questions him, now disappointed at his friend's behavior. 

''Khush toh main aise bhi nahi Rajat, na aise hi na waise hi!! Main nahi janta sabko kya laag raha hai ya sab mere baare mei kya soch rahe hai, jahir hai acha toh nahi hi soch rahe honge par haan koi mere baare mei ya meri kya situation hai wo bhi nahi soch raha hoga. Jaane kyun hamesha logon ko aurat hi bechari lagti hai kya mujhe koi dukh nahi ho sakta? Kya meri koi problem nahi ho sakti? Rajat, main kitna bhi chahu uss chij ko nahi bhula sakta aur na hi main kabhi kuch aur apna pau shayad. Main abhi khud se ek jang ladd raha hoon Rajat, please mujhe yun baar baar maat bola kar!!!" Vineet retorted and swiftly took his leave, finding himself breaking. 

Rajat watches him leaving the building and then disappears somewhere. How can someone be so heartless? How can he not change even after holding his son, his own part in his arms? Rajat was disgusted and ashamed of his friend, who has suddenly turned into a heartless person. 

Rajat was still standing at his place, gazing at the path where Vineet disappeared until someone nudged him, he turned only to find Sachin gazing at him. 

''Sachin tu yahan?" Rajat was alerted at his presence. 

''Arey tum dono hi gayab ho gaye toh mujhe lafa mithai laane gaye honge par tu toh yahin khada hai aur Vineet..wo kahan hai??" Sachin asked, Rajat let out a sigh. 

''Wo..wo mithai hi laane gaya hai. Chal hum bhi chalte hai!" Rajat says and pulls Sachin along. 

When they reached the hospital gate they found Vineet standing at a distance near a shop, holding a cigarette in between his fingers. Rajat and Sachin exchange glances.

''Bechara confused laag raha hai!" Rajat exclaims before Sachin could even analyze or think anything about the act. 

They headed to him, Vineet gazed at them a little ashamed and confused. 

''Tum.. Tum log yahan?" He asked to which Sachin took the cigarette from his hand and took a drag. 

''Tu itna confuse hai toh jaane mera kya hoga!! Rajat, tujhe toh teri biwi aishi harkat pe hospital mei hi peetegi!!" Sachin exclaimed to which Rajat laughed but Vineet was totally blanked. 

Rajat glances at Vineet,''lucky hai ye, itne pe bhi biwi chup hai, jhel rahi hai isko. Meri biwi aab tak mujhe hi mere ghar se nikal chuki hoti, shayad jail main hota main!!" He spoke meaningfully with a tinge of mockery and sarcasm. 

''Baba Vineet ka jadoo hai, manage kar ke rakha hai sab. Iski behen toh abhi mere sar pe baithi rehti hai har waqt aur galti se main delivery ke time aise bahar ghoomta raha na toh maa ke haatho gala aur biwi ke haatho 20-20 match, sab kurban ho jaayega!!" Sachin says and laughs, but Vineet doesn't find it funny at all instead he finds it harsh on him, hard taunts! 

''Khair, aab hum teeno bahar hai toh sweets leke chalte hai andar warna kuch waqt mei sab bahar aa jaayenge aur yahin izzat ke aalu bik jaayenge hamare!" Rajat jokes giggling, Sachin nodded and they headed towards a nearby sweet shop followed by Vineet. 

Rajat ordered 2 kilos of sweets and paid for it. 

''Arey tune kyun pay kiya, main karta na!" Sachin makes a face.

''Kya fark padta hai koi kare, meine aab kiya tu mere bache ke time kar dina!!" Rajat says and winked at him. 

All the while Vineet was silent which was unusual. But Sachin thought it to be the dilemma - confusion with his feelings for his new born, as it's obvious one can't develop or adopt sudden change in their life. It takes time. And in Vineet 's case, they know the guy is not used to too many changes in his life so it will surely take him some time to adapt to the change. 

With the little chit chat, they headed back to the hospital.
