He saw it first. The car zooming their way, he didnt have time to move, but he did have time for one thing.
He raised his hands to her shoulders and shoved her back.
She tripped, falling back she put her hands forward and fell, the back of her head hitting the cold hard ground, her eyes closing as the car hit Aditya.

The car hit his side first, the impact strong enough to throw him up in the air, his body came back down, hitting the bonnet of the car, he slid off of it, his leg bent.
The car reveresed, then came forward again, running over his body.
Zoya held her head, blinking quickly, she sat up and crawled towards him.

The driver looked in the rear view mirror and smiled, Zoya looked up in alarm at the car coming back around, she led over him, pushing her back up as the car went over them again, then drove away.
She fell onto him with a scream, he looked up dazed
"Zoya" he whispered "Paagal ho tum" (You're mad)
She tried to move, but the searing pain in her back stopped her, she put her head down on his arm and then rolled off of him

Her hand grabbed his, "Are we going to die" she asked, tears hot down her face
He had no idea how to answer, he didnt want her to know the pain he was in.
"Look at the stars"
She breathed out painfully, squeezing his hand, the blood trickled down his head as he looked at her, his hip visibly broken
"My father always said" she hissed in pain, biting her lip to stop herself from screaming "That our loved ones become stars when they die"

Usually he would argue, but right now in this moment, they both needed to know that they were loved by someone
"That bright one is Pooja" he grunted
She smiled "That one is Yash"
"Oh my god, call an ambulance, those people are injured"
"We're not going to die Zoya" he turned to face her, her skin was clammy and cold, her eyes shut
"Zoya" he shouted

They were both put on a stretcher, their hands dropped from eachothers, Zoya opened her eyes "I cant feel my legs" she sobbed
Aditya closed his eyes slowly, as the ambulance started to drive away
He could only pray that they would come out of this with minor injuries

2 Weeks Later-

Aditya limped across the hallway to Zoya's room. She smiled as she saw him walk in, "You know that neck brace makes you look funny"
"Yeah, I feel hillarious"
He stood at the door, unsure of how to say everything he wanted to say "Zoya, I, you saved my life and it nearly made you never be able to walk again, I have no idea how to thank you for that"
"You saved my life twice, we can call it quits" she wanted to change that subject and never think of that night

"Have you seen the news"
He shook his head
"The next two victims will be someone starting with M, the police believe its a group doing it, the public are calling them heroes for freeing this world of cheaters"
He stepped closer, sitting on the chair beside her bed "This needs to stop, I thought I could keep you safe, but I cant, we have to face this head on"
She nodded "My brace gets removed tomorrow, then we can try and figure this out"

By the time he looked back at her, she was asleep, he decided to leave her be.
Tomorrow they could go home, wherever that was.

Zoya woke up a few hours later, the room was dark. She reached to the side to turn the lamp on, looking straight forward at the figure stood facing away.
She reached for the buzzer when her hand was grabbed "I wouldnt do that if I were you"
Zoya gulped, it was a woman, the woman who attacked her, who wanted Aditya and who wanted her dead
"What do you want from me" she asked

"Aditya"
"Who are you and why do you want him"
She turned around slowly and smiled, she waved and walked away

Aditya helped Zoya sit in his car.
He looked over at her, something was worrying her for sure, but what?
"Is there something on your mind"
She looked out of the window, not listening
"Zoya"
"Hmm"
"Is there something on your mind"
She shook her head, then held her neck painfully
She could never tell him who the killer was, he would lose trust in everything

Poor Adya! They really have it tough!
