Just as Layla was about to call her partner for the third time on the phone, she saw him coming toward her.

"Finally!" Layla walked up to him, her heels slamming against the concrete as she jolted herself toward him.

"Woah, calm down Ms. Tiger...wait," Jimin tried to console the female but she was much too furious to even see anything but him and his now auburn hair.

"Where were you! I've been in there for thirty minutes listening to—!" Layla stopped abruptly.

"Layla?" Layla's eyes widened as she heard a voice that was not Jimin's. It was a voice she knew well.

"Taehyung?" Layla leaned her head to the side and saw Taehyung standing just behind Jimin. Jimin sighed as Layla glared at him for not stopping her. For Jimin, he had tried.

"Taehyung, I didn't know you were here?" Layla smiled at Taehyung who raised an eyebrow at Layla's sudden change of attitude. It had been a complete change, from how she had just pushed Jimin roughly and how she had spoke to him.

Jimin just shrugged when Taehyung asked silently. He mouthed, "don't ask me."

"I was with Jimin and he dragged me here saying he was hungry for Spanish Tapas." Taehyung nodded when Jimin just told him to not push Layla's buttons. It would be safer for the both of them. Taehyung accepted Layla's moodiness, there was no point in making Layla angry.

"Oh," Layla looked at Taehyung with a blank face and then a very confused face when she looked at Jimin. "Well, then...do you guys want to join me?" Layla did not know what Jimin was planning but, she hoped that it would not be disastrous. In addition, she needed the company. She could not take anymore of Jenny's whiny voice.

"Yes!" Jimin replied without a doubt and pulled the two inside. He already knew that Layla had been sitting so he just pulled the two in together until he saw Mia, but he had also known that she would have been there. It was no surprise because he had been informed before hand by Layla. "Look who it is...it's Mia!" Jimin pretended to be surprised.

Taehyung knew for sure that Jimin should not act as a profession. He was bad at it. And he was bad at lying too. Jimin was an honest person—mostly.

Mia turned at the sound of her voice and her face twisted slightly into fright. She had not yet told Jenny any of the happenings that had led to her and Taehyung's current relationship. Mia knew how much Jenny loved Taehyung too.

Taehyung's stoic face turned a bit amused as he saw Mia's mousy looking expression. The soon to be dinner had turned enjoyable even without the food. That was until he saw the girl next to Mia.

It took some time for Taehyung to realize who the girl was. Her silver hair was eye catching, unnatural and the way her eyes stared at him bothered him greatly. Then after getting closer and closer to the table, he realized that he did in fact know the girl. She had been the entire reason why he met Mia. He could see trouble coming without having to know because she was not supposed to have come back home at all. She was not supposed to be here.

As they arrived closer to the table, Jimin could tell that the tension was like a volcano about to erupt. There was also multiple tensions going on and the only one that had no 'beef' was him. It was very dangerous and Jimin did not want to be stuck in the middle but he was forced to. Layla was not going to allow him wimp out.

"Everyone looks good..." Jimin drawled, his words forced out awkward. It was going to be a long night for him. Looking at Jenny, the new face, Jimin asked, "Who are you?" Jimin clenched his jaws together when Layla pinched his thighs. "Never seen you before, do you know Mia?"

"Oh, hello, I'm Jenny. I'm Mia's best friend!" Jenny chirped and Layla's discontent grew worse. Jimin just awkwardly smiled as Layla's anger rose. He was regretting sitting next to Layla.

"Hmph..." Layla shot a glare at Jimin when he rubbed her thighs, hoping it would be enough for her to not be so pinchy with his thighs. It would have been nice, the feeling that is, if she was not so pissed. Layla did not allow Jenny to respond. "Jenny here, came not long ago. Apparently she's been traveling."

"I see." Taehyung leaned toward Mia, his body language only leaning toward Mia. His interests were solely on Mia. "Mia, what are you going to eat?"

"I-I...don't know." Mia whispered as she pretended to look at the menu. It was aimless since food was the last thing on her mind. "You can choose."

Taehyung's proximity to her, Mia was used to but, not when Jenny was looking. She felt horrible because she felt that she stole Taehyung from Jenny. Mia could not look up at her best friend. Then Mia was also conflicted because she did not want to just give him away to Jenny. It was a complicated thing—the matters of the heart.

Layla did not know what Jenny was feeling, but she knew what she herself was feeling. Layla was ecstatic, the lovebirds were more affectionate and there was honey seeping from Taehyung's eyes. It really warmed her fairy godmother heart.

"Can you just get us two sets of A, one seafood, and the second chorizo and one set of B and C." Taehyung spoke to the waiter, who nodded. "A bottle of white sangria for the table."

"Hey! I wanted paella." Layla exclaimed as the waiter walked away with the order. "You can't just order for me!"

"Layla, it's included in set A and since you hate chicken, I got you seafood, be happy." Taehyung replied, as his hands beneath the table moved toward Mia's warm thighs. Taehyung pressed his lips against Mia's ears, whispering, "You can just try everything."

"What if I wanted something different?" Jimin interceded for himself—slight jealousy tainted in his voice. He also just wanted to tease the two, they were sickening and cute at the same time. Jimin was not sure if he wanted to clap or to barf. He did neither as his lips were arched, just as his eyes, but in opposite directions, "why didn't you think of me? You only think of Mia...

Taehyung groaned, "you're not my girlfriend."

"Tch..." Jenny pretended that it had not slipped out of her pretty glossed lips.

Layla and Jimin had heard, oh so clearly. Jimin and Layla shared a look as Taehyung probably touched Mia a bit too intimately as she tensed up visibly. Layla hoped it was innocent, but Jimin hoped that it was really dirty.

Both of them though wanted the love birds go make even more progress in their relationship.

The food arrived.

They ate.

Mia felt sick from being so nervous, having to consider Jenny and Taehyung at the same time.

Taehyung felt glee, only noticing and caring about one woman.

Layla and Jimin watched—like a hawk, their eyes honed on their targets.

Jenny...simmered.

➰➰➰

"So Taehyung what are your plans after tonight?" Layla watched as Jenny's hands reached for Taehyung's arm. Layla watched like a hungry hawk watching it's next meal.

Wow...working right into it, as soon as Mia's gone to the restroom—the little minx, Layla thought bitterly as her motherly instincts kicked in.

Jimin had received a call so Layla was left to deal with the fox who wanted to swish her swishy tale at Taehyung.

"Nothing much..." Taehyung looked at Jenny, but with a bored face and turned back to his sangria. He was not much interested in her. It was just getting boring for him as it had only been fun when Mia had been sitting next to him. He loved teasing her.

"What do you mean nothing much?" Jimin intercepted, behind Layla.

Layla stiffened as she had not known that he had come back and had been standing next to her. Jimin looked at Taehyung as if he was hurt but he wasn't really hurt, he was actually very glad that he had cut the call short. Jimin was already pissed and seeing Jenny grab—almost—his best friend's arm, he was even more ticked off now.

"We are doing a boy's night out...tonight, remember?"

Taehyung raised a brow but did not question it. "Okay..."

"Yeah, Namjoon Hyung called me just now." Jimin was kind of screwed. There was only 2 people who could get their group gathered in less than ten minutes. One, Jimin knew for sure, that was most likely asleep for his third nap. "I promised Layla she culd have her best friend for the whole night!" Jimin tried to sound upbeat. He hoped the little fox was not keen, just like how she looked like. But it was too soon to judge. "Without Taehyung bothering them!"

Layla nodded, "uh-huh."

It was the first time she heard it from Jimin, but Layla was just grateful. Now Taehyung had an excuse to stay away from Mia so she could have a talk with her and keep an eye on the conflicted female so she would not be misled by the old best friend of hers. And Taehyung was away from the supposed 'best friend' of Mia's while having some guy time with the boys.

It was killing to rabbits with two stones, with puns intended.
