That Thursday, Hugo was with Garrick and Sharon, and he wanted to talk to them about something very important.

"Mr. Rosen, Mrs. Patterson, I want you to know that I love your daughter more than anyone," Hugo smiled. "I love her so much that I wish for her hand in marriage."

Hugo took out a little box, and inside was a 3-stone diamond ring. Garrick and Sharon thought it was sweet that Hugo loved Sophia very much. Garrick knew how much his daughter loved Hugo.

"Of course, my boy," Garrick smiled. "Welcome to the family." He was already looking forward to having Hugo for his son-in-law.

The next day, Sophia and Hugo were at tryouts for the play. Everyone thought they were doing a great job. The love scene was absolutely beautiful, especially when Sophia sang Love to Hugo.

"Oh, that was beautiful!" Dr. Xavier exclaimed. "Hugo Hollister, I want you to play Robin Hood!"

Everyone cheered happily for Hugo, including Jade, who was hoping Sophia wouldn't play Robin Hood's love interest.

"And this beautiful girl is my Maid Marian!" Dr. Xavier exclaimed, taking Sophia's hands.

Everyone cheered even louder—except Jade who was really jealous now.

"Thank you, Dr. Xavier," Hugo smiled.

"Oh, I don't know how this could get any better," Sophia gushed.

"And I don't know how this could get any worse," Jade glared.

"Well, Sophia, there's one thing that could be better," Hugo smiled.

Hugo led his girlfriend to a chair, and she sat down. Hugo knelt before Sophia and took out the little box and opened it, showing her the diamond ring. He took Sophia's left hand and slipped the ring on her finger.

Finally, holding Sophia's hand and gazing into her eyes, Hugo asked, "Sweet Sophia Rosen my love, will you marry me?"

Sophia was very surprised, but she knew she shouldn't be because she loved Hugo more than anyone. She was just so happy that she screamed and jumped on Hugo.

"Honey, I thought you'd never ask me!" Sophia cried. She couldn't help teasing him, "But you could've chosen a more romantic setting."

Hugo knew that was one of Marian's lines, and he thought Sophia's little joke was funny.

It was official—Sophia and Hugo were getting married. Everyone clapped and cheered for Sophia and Hugo. This was the very best day of Sophia and Hugo's lives.

Everyone was really happy for Hugo and Sophia—but Jade was really jealous. She was really dismayed to see Hugo propose to her stepsister. All these years she had been chasing after Hugo, but now he's engaged to Sophia. Jade was so jealous of her and upset that she started crying and ran right out of the theater.
