Days passed as the two fabled skeletons lived on together.

Gasty never attempted to move Willow, but it seemed as if his very presence gave the silent skeleton the courage to do so.

One fateful day as the hooded skeleton Gasty walked on his way through the field of people whom populated this place known as Snowdin, heading towards the very meeting place were a dear friend of his sat, something changed within Willow.

He felt a pain in his chest whenever Gasty had to leave, a wordless tug to follow close after.

He felt the overwhelming feeling of sheer curiosity wash over him as he imagined what those echo flowers faintly whispered in mocking of that skeleton's gruff yet gentle voice.

Willow slowly began to force himself to stand, the overgrowth he allowed to form around him pulling him back with a firm grasp.

He sighed shakily, his determination to find out what those little flowers said pushing him forward, the sound of Gasty's intoxicating voice pushing him forward.

His bones swelled with pulsating magic as he burned away the plants that encased him in a cold, dead hug, finally forcing himself to break free.

Willow only managed to carry on forward a few steps before collapsing before the many echo flowers. All was silent, as if all the words Gasty had spoken before were but a daydream in Willow's broken mind.

However, small whispers began to lick at Willow's skull, urging him to listen closer. The voices raised slowly, filling the area known as Waterfall with a surge of noise, all belonging to the skeleton Gasty.

Words of worship and praise, kind words he'd whisper into these flowers for really anyone who walked past.

Was he simply trying to brighten someone's day, or something a little more?

As Willow pressed forward to listen in more, he became lost in Gasty's words, like the aching in his bones from doing this were but a distant memory.

He felt so at peace here...

Then finally, he heard it.

Little whispers about Willow himself, though none contained anything about the death of Papyrus, nor anything of pity or sadness.

Gasty described each and every day how happy he was to be near him. It was as if a string of fate had pulled him here, and he never regretted it for a moment.

Little giddy mumblings about how cute something was, or how beautiful the Earth around him was.

He only wished he could share such beauty with Willow himself.

As Gasty's words began to falter, withering away into the echoing walls of the Waterfall, a monster stepped into the clearing.

Willow was nearly in tears, for he could not bear being pulled away from the beautiful words of the skeleton he had been around for oh so long now.

Was it all true?

Or were they just lies?

He couldn't think about that now as the sound of a book clattering to the floor and rushing footsteps came into view.

Gasty crouched down beside the beautiful blue skeleton, holding him up in his arms in a bridal fashion as to not make him feel uncomfortable against the cool stone floors of Waterfall.

Willow just seemed to stare up at the skeleton with a little, barely noticeable heart shaped pinprick in his eye.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Gasty asked worriedly, watching in horror as he looked over the shredded plants that still seemed to wrap themselves elegantly around Willow's tall form.

The blue scarfed skeleton refused to answer in words.

Instead, he replied with a tender loving kiss, one that would signify his want- no, his need- to become closer to this skeleton.

Willow wanted a true bond, and he knew that Gasty would be able to provide.

The End.
