Nandini's Pov

When I was crying I heard the sound of someone stepping on the dry leaves due to the lot amount of humus.

I know manik would be digging grave for that psycho as she would be thinking that I'm lost in the forest so I would be anywhere but not at the starting point (i.e. The waterfall area).

But not after Making sure that I'm ok then only he went to dig the grave.
But I was wrong that this psycho can't be smart enough to not know where I'm right now.
I hate to admit it but in case like this I thought it would be better that I keep the wooden stake.

And I felt something weird as if something or someone is nearing me and in a second
Manik screamed and my doubt got clear as I heard her not so sweet tone.

" Vampires don't die with a sword you stupid human. "

And in a second I held the wooden stake in my right hand tightly.
I turned to face that psycho and attack her but now manik was infront of me with his back and i had already stabbed the wooden stake.

My mouth hung in shock 😰😧 and there was a silence for a moment.

I gulped down the saliva in nervousness and prayed to aiyappa that the scenario should not be something which i would ever want to see.

As I saw that my wooden stake is now right through that psycho's heart and I turned to see Manik now who was now holding her hands ever so tightly.

With this me and manik took a breath in relief that we both are safe.
My hand was still in the same position.
Stabbing that psycho as she was looking at me with all the hatred that she lost.

And I took my wooden stake out of her heart and with that force she stumbled a bit as I stood and again grazed the stake whole into her heart with more force as more of her blood oozed out.

" But I'm sure they die with one wooden stake stabbed deep inside the pumping thing. Isn't it ? "
I whispered in one breath near her ears and have given back her smirk which she gave to me few moments before.

Manik was somewhere sad too coz he was not able to digest the fact that to save his love he has to choose to kill his sire.
Because somewhere or the other being the sire of Veronica he has to protect her in all situations.
But he can't bear the thought of nandini being killed infront of his eyes. That day of holding the lifeless nandini was not something easy to forget for him , all those things , that night every thing is still fresh in him so how could he choose that again.

The same pain , yet again. Getting nandini back is no less than a MIRACLE itself for manik and he can't choose his evil sire on the cost of Nandini's life.
And there's no choice that both can be alive , as he knows his sire that if she has decided to do something then there's no stopping.

Manik's Pov

As i still remember the day at a bar where i was drinking to fill the sadness of my Love's demise and i was drinking continuously , like a mad man.

I was so out of control now. Feeling like something took a toll on me. But still this alcohol was not helping me , in any way to forget what pain I'm going through, all alone.

I was so drowned in my thoughts that a girl came and showed her arm towards me. And with the blurry vision I managed to look at her as she smiled at me and I was confused.

"I know who you are , so bite it." She whispered and I understood what she meant.

I don't know in what thoughts or what shitt my mind was in I bit her arm and she closed her eyes in pleasure as we Vampires have something in our canines which just makes the person addicted to it.
As addiction it gives pleasure to u like drugs do to some.
I still remember that I didn't bit her for that long but next day she came to me and told me that she's turned into a Vampire because of me.
Still I trusted her and took all the blame on my unstable mind yesterday night because of the amount of alcohol I consumed.

Somewhere I felt guilty too to turn a normal human's life more miserable by turning her into a damn vampire.

But wait .... ! Veronica and me met even before dhruv then how could I meet her in the bar after Nandini's death. 😳

Nandini shaked my shoulder and i looked at her cluelessly.

"What happened manik ? I know this is tough to see your sire getting killed but..."

" What will I answer to Moonlight goddess , nandini ?
She's the one who gave me the powers to defeat any Vampire and after this incident she'll take everything from me.
I'll also be a normal Vampire now."
Manik said while taking veronica to the grave, Making her lie upside down on the ground and filling it with the soil.

"Everything will be fine manik. Moonlight goddess is watching from up there Everything. Even i stabbed her in my self defence. I won't let anything happen to u."
She tried to console him.

(Actually vampires after the death are made to lie on the ground facing the ground not the sky because there are full chances that they can come out of their grave. So if they are laid facing the ground then if they wake too then they will be lost digging the earth inside. That's why.)

Then only a light infront of us and me and nandini shut our eyes tightly becoz of the sudden light on our eyes.
Then the light dimmed a bit but was still there and then a voice came.

" You were supposed to be protecting your Sire manik.
How could you let a mere human to kill her and u didn't even tried to protect her ? Why? "
A hoarse yet deep voice filled the air indicating that moonlight goddess has appeared infront of them.

"I won't explain myself moonlight goddess. I'm to be blamed and ready for the punishment."
Manik's head bowed down in accepting him to be the whole reason for this mess.
Nandini's grip on manik's arm tightened as she never wanted manik to punished for something which she held herself responsible too.

There was a silence making Manan feel uneasy. But after that moment Moonlight goddess again said.

" Manik she was never veronica."

Both manik's and Nandini's eyes came out in utter shock after hearing this.

"Yes manik. If u remember then she was the girl from your childhood who used to love you secretly but after ur denied her when she expressed her feelings for you.

She had always a broken chilhood , a family who never cared for her and time led to her in the path of a monster. "

"Is it Shaira ? "
Manik gasped with the realization.

" Yes. But as time went by slowly and slowly she didn't realized but her love for u turned into the hatred for what you are now and from that day she's been doing all the rituals to gain powers.
So at the bar she possesed that Innocent girl's body not before capturing that girl's soul and entered her (shaira's )soul in it only.
And taking advantage of your weakness that time she made u bite her."

( Shaira's soul entered an innocent girl's body whose name was Veronica. I hope everyone understands it. And the real shaira's body is somewhere else. )

" That means that we have to find the real shaira's body as her soul can get back to it's body. "

" Yes. "

Both manan's face hung in utter shock and worry.🤪😣😰

" But coming back to breaking the rules you did today. It was not acceptable but keeping the whole truth infront of you , she deserved to die after all the evil sins she has done till date by killing Innocent people and animals.
So I won't let her soul find her body anymore. "

Listening to this both manan left a relieved breath. Thanking the goddess while smiling and soon the light disappeared.

Both nandini and manik smiled seeing each other and hugged tightly after such a struggle to be together.

As now moon shined bright white on them showing them that their red dark moon night has ended as a blessing the goddess showered on them.

Somewhere in a girl's room , a strong wind made the windows open and close , with this sound the girl opened her eyes lightly and a strong wind hit her body as she closed her eyes again to open back with an evil grin playing on her face.

"Ohh manik. There's never gonna be an end of us. Isn't it ? "
As her eyes turned in dark red scary colour.

And yes , amongst you few people would be really feeling the urge to kill me for ending this book. 🤭🤭

I extended it not only once but twice for you guys only ya. But if I extend it more then the real storyline's touch will be lost.
So hope you guys understand that 🙂.

And coming back to the story , Moonlight goddess said herself that she won't let shaira get back to her original body so at last scene it looks as she possesed some other girl.

And there is no sequel/season/part of this story guys , it just shows that in real life too our problems and struggles we go through doesn't end.

So this book is unfortunately ended guys.
