SUMMARY:

Nora Sammuals was pretty sure she was cursed. Nothing ever came easy to her, especially when it came to her dream of becoming a singer. Even though people, well her father, kept telling her she had a voice like that of an angel, no record company wanted to sign a deal with her. So when she finds a job in New York to sing in a bar, she doesn't hesitate to jump on the train and go.

After an amazing first evening with many tips, Nora almost starts to believe her curse is lifted, that is until on the walk home she gets robbed and loses all the money she made with her perfomance that night, plus her keys to her small and crappy apartment. She doesn't know any one in the new and strange city and is pretty sure her life is just doomed to fail.

But just maybe she should've considered her curse to be a blessing because had her bag never been stolen, she never would've met Steve Rogers. And had she never met Steve Rogers, she never would've found that one person all the songs told her about.

NOTES:

- So, if any of you hadn't noticed it yet, this plot is inspired by the movie: Before We Go. Directed by Chris Evans and with him in the lead role. If you are interested in this plot I suggested you watch the movie to try and get a feeling of the vibe I'm going for with this plot.

- Before We Go takes place in one night and I know it's difficult to do the same in a book, especially if you're writing a fanfiction and want to tie the plot into other movies. But, if you want to take on a challenge and just have the entire book happen in one night, go for it!

- The plot is very simple. Nora wants to be a singer but hasn't had much luck. So when she finds a job in a bar to sing for the guests she doesn't hesitate and goes. But on the walk home her purse gets stolen and she loses all her money, plus the keys to her apartment. She runs after the thieves for a while but loses them. Her angry screams and curses however, get Steve's attention. He's taking a late night walk because he can't sleep since he's just came out of the ice and has so much to think about. He runs after the thieves and gets her, her purse back.

- She wants to buy him coffee as a thanks and they get to talking. And so they basically stay out the entire night, doing fun stuff and talking about their lives. Nora knows it's Steve Rogers, because finding him was all over the news, but she doesn't really show him that she knows because she believes it would make him uncomfortable. So, in the beginning, they mostly talk about her.

- I have this fun scene in my mind where they walk on the street and see a karaoke bar and Nora takes Steve inside and she puts on a show on the stage. I think it would be really cute to have her sing the song of the star-spangled man with a plan and then remix it with another song. Could be fun to write. :)

- It's up to you to tie her into Avengers or any of the other movies, but please don't make her a superhero. She's a singer without any superpowers and should remain that way. If it's too hard for ou to tie her into any of the plots I have an ending in mind you could go with but I won't say it here so it will remain a surprise for possible readers.
