Anika entered inside the room with shaking steps, calling out his name in the dark, her hands reaching out trying to embrace him but all she was embraced with was darkness and loneliness. He wasn't there to hold her like he always did. 

She felt streams of hot tears sliding down her cheeks, her heart ached and all she wanted at that moment was him to soothe her . Her sobs increased as she made her way to the switch to illuminate the room, with eyes shut, still a hope of finding him when she opens it, only to be disappointed, he wasn't there but his scent lingered around and she could hear the voice of his laughter at the back of her mind.

She stepped forward sinking in the feeling of his presence, his scent when her eyes fell on the piece of paper lying on the floor painted in blue horizontal lines of letters. It was his handwriting she knew, without a second thought she reached out for it to have a closer look. 

" Anni...

I wish you would forgive me. I never thought I would do anything like this, I swear I didn't wanted to but I did. It was unintentional. I am sorry Anni... I never meant to, but it just I wasn't able to restrict this feeling, I never knew when my feelings started changing towards you, you were my bestie but I...I messed it up, Anni... I ruined our friendship. I started loving you, more than a best friend, it was that romantic kinda love, I am such a foolish person, I ruined everything. Please forgive me Annika. If not forgiveness, please forget if there was any boy called Shivaay who used to be your best friend but he crossed the limitations. I am sorry. " 

Fits of laughter echoed the room, as Annika laughed her heart out. She laughed with tears, her stomach started hurting already with the continuous laughter, she begged him to stop.

 "Please stop! I can't! Love,Stop tickling me please" 

"Stop me if you can, baby" Came a reply as she was continued to be tickled. 

"You challenging me?" Anika squinted her eyes in an attempt to intimidate him but who was afraid of a cute little bunny.

"You doub_" His words died in his mouth as she came deadly close to him in a jiffy, her lips inch away from his and with a hunter's gaze she placed hers just at the corner of his anticipating lips before moving back with a smirk.

"Aniieee that's not fair" 

"Anything is fair in love and war and this is lo_ war" She flashed a sly smile before crying reading the contents of the paper they were just fighting for.

"You have been stupid since forever" He looked down being guilty, yeah he was guilty.

"How could you even think to leave me like that stupid?" Anika caught hold of his collar while all he did was wipe her tears which flowed down her cheeks. 

"I know J am stupid, forgive me na bestie" He said only to be glared " Umm...Sorry Wifey" He grinned at her flashing the cutest smile that town has ever seen. 

"I hate you!" She smiled with tears wiping her nose.

"I know, I hate you the most!" He said as he shifted her to his lap.

"Duffer! " She laid her head on his chest hugging him with all his might. She just couldn't forget that night when she found that note which broke her heart into zillion pieces not because he loved her more than a friend but because she loved him too and the thought of not being able to confess him the same, made her scream at the highest of her voice, and cry till the dawn. But destiny! They were made for eachother. More than bestfriends, more than life partners, more than soul mates, they were heartbeat tk eachother's heart and breath to each other's lung. They were just the missing piece to each other's puzzle and maybe that's why even after so many hardships and obstacles, they met again, confessed, married and the two souls united for all the upcoming births. 

" Only yours" He grinned hugging her back.

"Idiotic Idiot" She laughed seeing the expression on his face as he mouthed ' that's not even a word ' 

"Only yours" Nevertheless he replied with utmost sincerity.

"Baby" She kissed his forehead with enormous amount of love.

"Only mine" He sealed her lips with a pure kiss and the night drifted into a beautiful chapter.
