Hi, it's Zephyrine again. I knows it's been awhile since you've heard from me, don't worry, you're not the only one. I moved to LA, got lost in work and have barely had time to eat, let alone keep in great contact with anyone. Don't get me wrong, I've done my best to talk to my friends and family, but so much has happened I couldn't possibly explain it all. The main thing I know is that I've changed. I'm still trying to figure out the ways in which I've changed, but I can feel that I'm not the same person I was when I first got here.

The lights dimmed, effectively setting the mood. Everything inside me was screaming for me to back up, but I fought it. I was frozen in his icy presence. Not that he was a cruel man, it was just his look. He had intense clear blue eyes, black hair and contrasting porcelain skin. He was a strange kind of handsome. It took a minute to hit you, but when you saw how handsome he was, you couldn't unsee it.

Kyler grabbed my hand. "Leave him. You and I both know he's no good for you."

I turned away; my nerves sky high. I'd been dreading this part for months, yet I've known it was inevitable.

"You're not being fair. You already know I'd choose you. It's just not the best timing. He's going through a lot right now." I looked down at my feet, silently counting the floorboards.

He lifted my head, forcing me to meet his eyes. "It'll never be great timing. Kiss me now, or loose me forever."

I hate ultimatums, I thought. I did my best to keep my thoughts from showing on my face.

"And cut! Great job everybody! I'll see you all in two weeks." Ken, the director yelled from behind the cameras and bright lights.

I sighed, feeling relieved. I hated filming scenes like that.

"Thank God." A familiar voice tickled my ear.

I immediately searched for its owner. There he was with his arms crossed, looking fantastic in his black leather jacket and blue jeans. I ran full speed over to him. I jumped up and wrapped my legs around him, kissing him with full force. The kiss was so intense, that if I realized people were there, I may have felt bad they had to watch.

"I've missed you Rinnie." Grant whispered in my ear.

I squeezed him tightly. "I've missed you too Grant."

I was drowning in my excitement. It'd been months since I last saw Grant. We facetimed nearly every night, but I hadn't seen him in person since "Behind Closed Doors" had started shooting. It was very conflicting for me. It was my dream to star in a soap opera but being with Grant was also my dream. I was still with Grant, but it was torture not being able to see him. He wouldn't let me give up though, he didn't even freak out when I had to make out with my costars, he constantly reminded me that it wasn't permanent. His selflessness made it even more difficult to stay away from him. It was surreal to see him standing in front of me, being able to kiss him.

"Where are you staying?" I asked, feeling lost in his ocean blue eyes.

He smiled. "Just down the street in the Vanity Hotel. Grayson's outside, ready to drive us there."

I traced his face with my hands. "He came too?"

Grant nodded. "He loves LA. The casinos and nightlife are kind of his thing."

"I can't wait to see what your place looks like! We should go now." I reluctantly moved my hand from his face.

He walked over and opened the door for me. "After you."

I grinned. "Thank you. You're such a gentleman Mr. Goldsworthy."

He laughed. "Only with you Rinnie."

We stepped out onto the sidewalk. As we headed towards the car, I took a final look at the building we'd been filming in. It was a large silver building with a million windows. I grinned. There were a lot of memories in that building. I can vividly remember how nervous I was on my first day, and how at home everyone had made me feel.

"Enjoy your break Patricia." My costar yelled across the booming traffic.

I turned to Kyler, smiling. "You as well Austin." We called each other by our cast names. It was just a little inside joke we had. Kyler (the man with the icy appearance) was a nice guy and we had gotten along really well.

Grant squinted. "Patricia?"

I laughed. "That's my character's name." I informed him.  The show didn't air for another week. I was under contract to keep all the details to myself. So, as much as I wanted to talk to Grant about it, I couldn't.

"Grant this is my costar, Kyler. Kyler this is my boyfriend, Grant."

Kyler reached his hand out for Grant to shake. "Nice to meet you, I've heard a lot about you."

Grant shook his hand. "That can't be good."

"On the contrary, all good things. Zephyrine thinks the world of you." Kyler released his hand.

Grant smiled and looked at me. "I'm not sure how I've managed to fool her, but I'm glad I have."

I nudged him. "Stop it. I love who you pretend not be. Plus, you should know you're not capable of fooling me."

"Awe Grant, you're such a cutie." Grayson yelled out his window as he pulled up.

Grant rolled his eyes. "Isn't it time for another perm?"

Grayson made a face at Grant that told me he'd never actually had a perm.

"I should get going, Aspen's waiting for me." Aspen was Kyler's long-term girlfriend. I'd never met her, but Kyler talked about her all the time.

Kyler waved goodbye and turned to walk away.

Just as Kyler started to move, the paparazzi began surrounding him. "KYLER, KYLER OVER HERE. Tell us about your relationship!" They began swarming like an angry hive of bees. Kyler and I were both new to the whole acting professionally thing. We weren't used to the paparazzi. He froze, looking like a deer in headlights.

"Is that Zephyrine?" The paparazzi split and half of them made their way to me. Kyler was still being bombarded with cameras and microphones at the same time.

I moved back into Grant. "I'm sorry, I have to go."

Grant squeezed me tightly against him.

The paparazzi gasped. "Grant Goldsworthy! Is Kyler okay with you still talking to your ex?"

Grayson swung the door open, effectively hitting three or four of the paparazzi. "Whoops." He looked at them.

Grant smirked. "Thanks man."

Grayson nodded. "Sure, now get in before they get back up."

Grant held the door open for me. I saw Kyler standing there, looking panicked.

"We can't just leave him like that." I protested. "Kyler, over here."

Kyler struggled to break through the crowd.

Grant sighed and lifted his phone to his ear. "Beyonce'? I can't talk right now, it's kind of crazy here."

The paparazzi instantly turned to Grant, allowing Kyler just enough time to escape. Grant scrunched his face in disgust. "Did you actually fall for that? You guys are pathetic."

Kyler climbed into the backseat of Grayson's Mercedes. I got in next to him, pulling Grant with me.

The paparazzi banged on the window, trying to get our attention.

"This is not going to work." Grant mumbled. I assumed he was talking about the three of us squished in the backseat. "Who wants shotgun?"

"Go ahead Grant, it's your bff's car." I patted him on the back. He crawled up beside Grayson. I hit his butt on his way up, earning a "hey" from Grant and a chuckle from Kyler.

Once Grant was settled, Grayson looked at Kyler. "Okay, where's your car?"

Kyler pointed south. "Half a block down the road, by the shopping center."

Grayson put the car in drive. He inched forward, careful not to hit any of the paparazzi that were chasing the car. Thankfully, their yelling was muffled. I wasn't in the mood for unimportant, nonsense questions.

Something clicked in Grant's head, and he sat straight up. "Stop the car."

We all stared at Grant, confused.

Grayson put the car in park.

Grant rolled down his window. "What do you mean 'ex'?"

"We just want to know how Kyler feels about his girlfriend talking to you?" The paparazzi man closest to Grant answered.

Grant's expression hardened. "Let me get this straight, you think that Zephyrine and I broke up and now she's with that guy?"

Grayson rolled up Grant's window. "Let's go."

Grant turned to Kyler and I. "What's going on?"

Kyler and I looked at each other.

"Grant, honestly we have no clue." I was in just as much shock as he was.

"I'll call Ken." Kyler said, pulling out his phone.

Ken was the director of the soap opera and he happened to double as our manager. If anyone would have answers, it'd be him.

..........................................................................................................................................................................

Kyler removed his phone from his ear, looking irritated.

"Well?" Grant asked, peering through the rearview mirror.

"Ken said that he's been meaning to talk to us. He thinks that Zephyrine and I being in a relationship would give the show great publicity. So, he decided to spread the rumor that we ended our current relationships and got together." Kyler leaned back in his seat.

I stared at him, bewildered. "Okay, so let's just clear that up with the paparazzi."

Kyler shook his head. "Can't."

Grant glared at him. "What do you mean, you can't?"

"If we don't play along, we lose the job. If even one of us stops the rumors, we're both off the show."

My mouth fell open. Grant leaned back, silently.

"Wait!" I spoke up. "The wedding."
