Misha's POV:

If there was ever a contest of Ignoring me, Varun would have been the winner.

It's my birthday tomorrow, I really want to tell him the same but this ignorance is not letting me do anything. I guess it's my mistake, I shouldn't have made him angry the other day but it was not my fault, I love teasing him. Since two days, I have been trying very hard to talk with him however nothing helped. If this happens, forget about attending my birthday party, he won't even wish me. nah, I'm not going to let that happen.

I went to his room again with full confidence.

"What?" He asked as he looked at me standing near his door. why am I not able to speak anything?

"Nothing." I replied. This is not why I came here, speak Misha.

"Do you want to say something?" he asked and my stupid self said 'No' again. Now go back and practice again.

"Misha wait." He called as I stopped immediately.

"Maisha was asking if you are coming tomorrow, are you?"

"Are you?" I asked ignoring his question.

"No, I have an important meeting." he said as a smile formed on my lips. Thank god, at least he won't go far from home.

"What about you?" he asked as I told him that I'm not going as well.

"Why?"

Ok, it's the time I should tell him what's tomorrow.

"Because, It's my birthday tomorrow." I replied as he looked at me with shock.

"Oh, alright." he replied. rude, at least say something more.

"Bye, good night." I said and went to my room.

It was still two hours more for my birthday. Every year I celebrate it with my family and friends, Karthik and Pranita always used to come to my home a night before my birthday and after the cake cutting, we used to enjoy our night ride. The best thing was mom dad never protested that. It was a fixed thing to take everyone for dinner, where they used to give me lots of gifts and then the next day, I used to celebrate with my other friends and colleagues. I don't know what will happen this year but I hope Varun will be there too, I don't want to miss my love, I need him with me.

I tried to sleep but was not able too. I mean who sleeps when they are excited? So I arranged my wardrobe. I found just too many unused clothes. It's all because of my in-laws and Siddhi, she loves shopping and whenever she does that, she buys me a lot of things as well. During Isha's birthday, I was gifted with many sarees which I don't even think I'm going to wear all of them, I agree I love wearing saree because of Varun's compliment but still I can't keep wearing them daily.

"Come downstairs." Janvi said and ran away before I could say anything. I looked at the clock and saw it was just five minutes left for the clock to strike 12. I gladly went downstairs and saw Siddhi, Karthik, Pranita, Mom, dad and Janvi waiting for me with a cake placed in the centre of the table. However my Mom dad and my love of life, were nowhere to be seen making me wonder why they didn't came.

"Are you going to stand there only?" Siddhi asked breaking my thoughts.

"Of course not." I said as I went and hugged her followed by everyone.

"Where is Mom and dad?"

"Uncle is little sick but don't worry they are on video call." Siddhi replied showing me her phone. I miss them so much.

"I love you both." I said to them and went to stand near the cake. chocolate, my favourite.

I saw Janvi indicating something with her fingers and then boom, they all wished me at the same time.

Happy birthday.

"Thank you so much everyone." I replied as Janvi handed me a knife. A part of me was not happy, I missed Varun, I needed him here. I don't know why he didn't came but I really wish he was here.

"Varun?" I asked as everyone's face dropped.

"He slept early, I'm sorry." Janvi replied sadly.

"It's ok. He was tired today. Come, let's cut the cake." I said and smiled. I was hurt but I don't want them to see it. Moreover Varun must be really tired, otherwise he would have came downstairs even if it was just for two minutes.

I looked at the cake and saw a cat emoji on it.

"You got this cake, didn't you?" I asked as Karthik just shrugged his shoulders. come on man, I have no qualities of a cat, why can't he stop calling me that?

I was about to blow the candles when I heard someone noise from upstairs, I looked up and saw Varun coming downstairs. wow, is he really coming here?

"I'm sorry. I didn't realized when I fell asleep." he said. Everyone looked happy but I was the happiest there. Though I missed Isha as well but it was better not to wake her up.

"Now, will you cut the cake?" Siddhi asked as I immediately blow the candles, followed by cutting the cake. I went and fed it to everyone, of course it was very special when it was Varun's turn because here it was not only me who fed him but he did it too, so he was the first one feeding me because others didn't do that, maybe even they wanted Varun to do it first. how thoughtful.

"We will leave now, hopefully meet you tomorrow." Pranita said as she came and hugged.

"Leaving so soon, and why hopefully, we are meeting tomorrow and I'm sad because you guys are not taking me for a ride." I complained. I will really miss that today.

"Girl, it's 1 already and about the meeting thing, Karthik says that your dearest hubby won't be much happy to see him there and so we will meet some other time and about the ride, we don't know your in-laws so we cancelled it." She replied. that maybe true but I'm not sure if Varun will join us tomorrow. If he didn't show up, it will be my birthday without my best friend and without my husband.

"Don't say anything. We completely understand, plus we can't have same fun with your in-laws as we aren't properly connected." She said further.

"Ok but meet me in the afternoon and my in-laws wouldn't have any problem if I go on a ride now."

"Can't say the same thing about Varun. I will meet you tomorrow, ok?" She asked making me nod. After that everyone went away, I told Siddhi to stay but she said that she has some important work tomorrow.

"Bye." I said to them and saw their car leaving our main gate. nice start for my birthday. I went back to my room and started replying to all the messages I received. it's always fun to read the wishes send by everyone. I replied everyone and decided to sleep however I was still not sleepy. Maybe because I was too happy and excited. Not knowing what to do next, I came out of my room and saw everything dark outside. I hate when people switch off all the lights, at least leave a small blub. I was about to go and switch the lights when I heard some footsteps coming towards my direction. omg, who is it? The sound became more clearer and I felt the person right behind me. ghost? No, there aren't any. Thief? Maybe but why is he not hurting me yet? Moreover thief can't enter our home. Then it's surely ghost, should I look back? no, they say never look back when you are alone in the dark.

"Misha." Someone called as I screamed on the top of my lungs but was immediately stopped when I felt a hand over my mouth and my back on the wall.

"Quite." The person said. Varun? He went and switched on the lights. omg, he is Varun, why would I think that he was a ghost? Stupid.

"Why were you shouting?" He asked as he came and stood directly in front of me.

"Because I." I said and giggled. I found it very stupid of myself to think of him as a ghost.

"You thought I was a ghost." He completed my sentence making me laugh more.

"I'm sorry." I said still laughing. I then looked at him and saw him ready to go somewhere, he even had his car keys with him. where is he going now?

"I know I shouldn't ask this but are you going somewhere?" I asked as he nodded.

"I'm not sleepy, so I decided to take a quick ride."

"Ok. Isha?" I asked and came to know that she is already in Janvi's room.

"Alright. Bye." I said and saw him moving from there. wait, even I want to go out but the question is, will he take me with him? I guess I will ask after all there's no harm in asking.

"Varun?" I called as he immediately turned towards.

"Shall I come with you? Even I'm not sleepy."

He looked confused after he heard me.

"Please." I requested.

"Ok. Come soon, till then I will bring the car." he said with a smile and went ahead. really a great start and if start is so good, I can't imagine the end.
