when the evil kitty litter escaped jail but wanting revenge againtst the swift tail's they target the book without jinx 

but when the book malfunctions after a magic incident it sucks up the kitty litter along with lucky and lyra this time 

when they awake after the trip they land in a village where they see a wood carvers shop

lyra: where are we 

tess: well swift tail we seem to be in a village of the old times in the 1940's 

general buttons: 1940's you say then we must be at the year of the second great war WW2

lucky: well we aren't getting answers standing here we should go to that wood carvers shop and get warmed up 

lady meowmalade: the swift tail is right it's freezing out here and most of us aren't covered enought  with warm clothes.

so they walk towards the shop and sneak in the warm up.
