~~A Few Hours Later~~

I grab Lacey and Hunter into my arms and put them in seats so they can acrually reach the dang table.

I sit inbetween the twins and Mark and Ki sit opposite of me.

A waiter comes by to give us menus, coloring sheets for the kids and asks us what we want to drink.

"Aple Juce!" Lacey yells, mispronouncing her words.

I laugh as Hunter says, "Cerry Sodah, please."

I look over at Ki and Mark, laughing harder, "I'll take a Diet Coke, please."

"I'll take a Pepsi." Mark says, I keep forgetting he can't drink.

"I'll take an iced tea."

The waiter nods and walks away, smiling.

"Lacey! Quick! How do you say black!?"

She stands out of her high seat and screams, "Bwack, Dada!!!"

(I pronounced black *bwack* when I was little)

Everyone at the table starts to laugh, the kids continue to color butterflies.

I reach over and grab a green, blue and black crayon, drawing Sam.

I slid an extra piece of paper over to Mark and Ki, giving them crayons.

Mark starts to sketch a girl and Ki just draws silly things.

"Dada, draw a doggy." Hunter says, and I doodle across his paper, giving him a blue out line of a dog.

The waiter comes back and hands out our drinks.

Just as the kids get their drinks, they drink out of each others!!

Ki dumps sugar into her tea as Mark and I watch the kids.

"What can I get you guys?" The waiters name is Joey.

"Hi, Mr.Joey! Can I have mac 'n cheese, please?" Lacey stops drinking Hunter's soda to ask.

"Of course you can, Miss Lacey." Joey smiles.

"Jay! Can I have chisen?" Hunter stutters.

"Yup. Chicken, buddy. Not chisen."

"Chickin!" Hunter still stumbles and mispronounces it.

"Close enough!" Joey laughs and looks at me, "Hey, Sean. I've missed you."

"I've missed you too, Joey. How's Dove?"

Joey chuckles and rubs the back of his neck at the mention of his darling, "She's good. She's at home right now. Ummmm... She's actaully 6 months pregnant. When I go home today, we're going to the doctors to find out the gender."

"Congratulations, Jay."

Joey nods and already knows what I want and moves on to Ki and Mark.

Once he's done taking orders, he asks me to follow him.

I get up and the kids start to whine, but I kiss their foreheads and follow Joey.

"How's Luck doing?" Joey asks in a concerned tone.

Joey has been my best friend since, hell DIAPERS!

He's met Lucky and I've kept him up to date on everything.

He's the only person thay understands me.

"I just left the hospital after 3 days and they wouldn't let me see her the entire time. I'm worried, Jay. She could have something serious and I could lose her."

Joey wraps his arms around my chest and hugs me tight.

I hug him back and he starts to cry.

"I am so sorry, Sean. I know how it feels to lose your best friend."

"Thank you, Joey. I love you so much."

"Anything for you, Jack. If you ever need help with the kids or anything, please call Dove or I. We are happy to help. I love you too."

"The same to you, Joey. You need someone to watch after your kid, call me." I kiss Joey's cheek and he kisses mine as we walk away.

"Hey, guys. Did you come here often when I was waiting for Lucky?"

"Yeah. The kids wanted to come here and then they saw Joey,  so they always wanted to come here." Ki giggles and takes a sip of her tea.

"He's a good kid. I can't believe he walked out of that nasty high school still sweet and he always protects his girl. He's a good boy." Mark adds.

"Yeah, guys, I think Jay and I are going to take care of the kids tonight and tomorrow, so you guys can get some sleep and I can have time with my babies!!" I reach over and tickle Hunter and Lacey, making them laugh hysterically.

"Sounds like a damn plan." Ki yawns as Joey walks over with our food.

He holds Lacey and Hunter's plates over their heads and says, "You gotta jump for them."

Hunter gets up and latches onto Joey's forearm, bringing the plate down to the table and starts to eat.

Lacey stands and gently kisses the back of Joey's hand, making him lower the plate with her little hand wrapped around his pointer finger.

Joey laughs and gently kisses the kids foreheads, and looks at me, "Tonight?  7:40 pm?"

I nod and smile, not needing to say a word to Joey.
